- This was fun to run, with the new skill tree the bee queen becomes so cheap, using 1 bernie for phase 1- 2 is so amazing, I'm so happy wtf. Talking about the strategy, I believe it is one of the cheapest ways, with a relatively small amount of embers and healing and sanity resources, in addition to the fact that out of the 40-50 embers that I ended up using in this battle I managed to recover 25 of them in the end, so Don't feel sorry for spending your embers, to further reduce this method I would say that you can reduce 1 number of marble suits, but it may become inconsistent if you take a lot of damage due to a failed combustion, I don't know what else to say about the battle at this point hmmm, I would just say that with a very good generation of the world, you can do this on the in day 2, if you have any questions, use the comments, I will answer them all.

They honestly took Willow from a super niche character to probably one of the craziest. I'd be AMAZED if they let it go live as it currently is. I swear the dev team is like "We're wrapping this up soon, lets just put the wildest ideas out there."
To be honest, the way it is currently seems perfect to me, the only complaint I can have currently would be improving Bernie's aggro for battles against Terrarium bosses, or the 3 and 4 phase of BQ, in addition to trying to make Burning Bernie more useful , because in a real battle situation it is difficult to work in harmony with you

As she is now she’s still not the strongest character I’d say so hopefully they keep her the same :)

@@ameslariishe came out already and tbh she feels strong in her own right but not disgustingly broken like pre rework wolfgang, really hope all characters get the same balanced treatment to make them all unique and powerful in their own ways
willow has always been my favorite, and i’m really glad to see that fire in combat is something klei realized that she could specialize in. amazing run!

Honestly though, now that willow is actual fire mage that's capable of crowd control, possibilities are endless. Before Bernie did tank sure, but Willow couldn't really use that fully to her advantage, and now she can. I like how she works, I really do!

So the strategy is to bring a Hambat, 3 Marble Armors, 2 Beekeeper Hats, Blue and Green Shrooms, and a Pan Flute, then have Bernie deal with the Grumblebees until he runs out of stuffing and after that leave the fight area so the Grumblebees gather into one place to follow the Bee Queen back, and re-enter once they’re close to put them all to sleep, then use Combustion on them once they’re all gathered to keep them panicking while you continue to tank and recasting burning fury when it runs out?
My sister and I play DST (on Switch, unfortunately, so we don’t have all the cool QoL mods) and we’ve recently graduated from running from Deerclops to tanking it. I want to eventually tackle at least most of the bosses but things with tens of thousands of HP are incredibly intimidating.
Would it be worth it to drop a bunch of fireballs all over the arena in late Winter for the long nights, spawn the Bee Queen at night and the Twins of Terror at the same time, then put them both to sleep with the Pan Flute and walk away so they can fight it out upon waking, then finish off the survivor?
Yes of course, this strategy is widely used in boss runs, so don't be shy about using it, and about the willow fight you said everything right, I just recommend taking one more bee keeper and maybe 1 more marble suit, how are you playing in the console it is more difficult to cancel animation, and as I consider that you don't cancel it, I recommend you take these two extra items. And about the pan flute it's not an obligation, but it makes the fight easier
I also imagine that playing on the Switch is really cool, I still plan to buy one, I really want to play the Hamlet mod on it
Love how Willow and Wig got such good skills and my boy Wormwood got like 3 usefull skills
lmao very true, but at least it more fun, like there are characters that will have useful skills from the beginning of the game, and others only in the end game, I think that's the boring part. And I believe that this will not only happen with Wormwood
@@ameslarii yeah, maybe Max Wanda and Wortox will get the Wormwood treatment since they are very strong from the start, since worm has 2 skills locked behind brightshade gear i can see Klei doing something similar to these characters

Hello, nice video, btw did you used any mods (like a mod that helps you to pause the game for inventory interaction) or is it the game's original feature?
It's a feature of the game itself, I pause twice during Bee Queen because I ended up picking up an item from the ground and when I do this the character can't equip items, because the game understands that he is doing some action

Probably nothing relevant, Wolfgang received almost nothing significant so I think it's safe to assume top tier characters won't receive very significant buffs I guess
Wanda could stop time, making controlled rollbacks. I personally belive that the realistic approach is a alarming planat buff for her alarming, lower cooldows, second chance giving you a small light inmunity when you revive as well as letting you revive ghosts in spot, backtreck portal could last longer and letting people from the other direction to come where wanda used the portal

How are you keeping your camera panned out to the cloud level without it automatically panning back in. I use a mod to let me stay that far out but would love if I could just stay at cloud level without constantly scrolling to fight the auto pan
I changed the zoom key to the ''R'' key, so I just hold it down

How are you using the combustion ability? Whenever I try it just crashes the game.
I saw a lot of people complaining about the game crashing when using Willow's abilities, but that never happened to me. But I saw in the hotfix that this had been fixed, so I can't say why your game keeps crashing, maybe they'll improve it again
its really a great run, but how do you always get so much gekos?
usually in the mosaic biome when the map is of grass geckos, there will always be a part with a lot of them and it's usually near the rock den

@@ameslarii I didn't read the patch note, but this definitely feels correct. the 3 seconds that were before are super cringe, like lmao, you're only able to land like 2-3 or maybe 4 hits if animation cancelling. I am glad klei at least start to try and make stuff usable, next are hopefully the escape boots for boats.

That's exactly what it does. :) For higher dps and faster fight.

thx, it was more of a pause to maximize my damage at the beginning which is important, like in a fw fight, but as it didn't take more than 1 min I wouldn't say it was an abuse, but I understand what you meant 😁

lmao, the term ''unseeded'' means that it was a randomly generated world, without any prior knowledge about the map, and the term ''no cheese'', which means that we didn't use any cheats to complete this rush, an example of cheating would be to use walls in the fight

Willow definetly deserves her buff. I wish they wouldn’t buff wigfrid so much, though i main both of these characters. Wigfrid is literally undying and these buffs

Why you have to swap armor like that?
By changing armor at the right time I can cancel the attack animation, resulting in a greater number of hits in less time
