Thanks for showing an actual session in progress, even though I could see that it was more work for you as you maintained the kids' privacy :) I'm really excited to learn more about work as an SLP and maybe get some work experience soon! Greetings from Australia 😊
im starting college this fall and starting my undergrad and you make me excited to be an SLP i've watched some other peoples videos and they seem really boring but you look like you're having so much fun and really care about your kids!
This was so interesting to watch, thank you for sharing! I love seeing how confident and casual you are about your sessions, I hope to be able to feel that when I get my first job :)
i loved this vlog!!!! loved getting to see what you do on a day to day basis. i know virtual learning is hard. trust me i do it too. aww you are so cute!!!!
OMG i just noticed the cute lil soj bottle on the corner. I LOVE LOVE. OMG SSSSSSSSSoap ssssso cutie. Virtual SLPing must be so hard.. :( but looks like your doing an amazing job. SO musheesuh. LOVE YOU!
Hiii, I'm here one year later and I love your videos! Next year hopefully I'll start my SLP journey as I'm about to enroll in a masters' degree. I'm alsoo suuper interested in where your pen is from :)) (15:05). it looks sooo good
I love this video! I'm in my second year of grad school hoping to do teletherapy full time for my CF. You're so good at finding cute and fun activities! Where is your keyboard from??
Thank you for this video! Do you keep track of data on a spreadsheet? I'm going to be doing teletherapy this school year. Im nervous about it being engaging. You just share your screen with the student's? There's no way for the students to have control, right?
Hey! I’ll be starting a teletherapy position for an elementary school in a couple weeks and I’ve never worked in a school before. How do you do/manage group teletherapy? Most of my caseload will be groups. What do the kids do when it’s not their turn? Do you do one activity that works for all the kids in the group?! It’s hard for me to envision group therapy virtually 😅
@@jasminemejia. they say u can still get into grad school for SLP, but you have to take a shit ton of pre reqs 🥲🥲 sooooo im just gonna stick to my back up plan 🥲
Hi! Thank you so much for making these videos, they have def reassured me that I am entering the right field. I just wanted to ask whether u did any volunteer/internships in ur undergrad and when did u start on them?
Thank you so much for uploading these videos!! :D I'm super new to the domain of SLP, and it's really helpful and neat getting to see what it's actually like working in this field. I have a bachelor's in psychology that I received a couple years ago, but I wasn't confident in my career direction post-college, so I settled for a basic customer service job that's starting to feel unfulfilling. I'm thinking of going back to school and making use of my degree (I'm hoping that it isn't too late to immediately apply for a graduate program, even though it's been a couple years since I've graduated..). Like other comments have asked, I'm curious about your personal experience on the licensing-side of becoming an SLP. But also, were there any other fields of therapy you were considering before speech, and what would you say are unique challenges an SLP deals with? Have you ever had to deal with "unsatisfied" clients who get frustrated with progress being too slow or anything? And, do you always end up taking your work home with you? Looking forward to your future videos, and I hope things haven't been too stressful for you!
@@CallMePastrami Exactly haha it's hard for my students to visualize and feel where their tongues should go - teaching them virtually is even harder ah!
Thanks for your video. It is really helpful. I am korean who lives in korea. I am learning slp in online university of korea now. After Graduation I want to study in Graduation school in the US. But I am worried about my English. How did you study English? And I have many questions. Can I send you an email?

Thanks for watching! The pen was a gift so I’m not exactly sure where it’s from
For the Q&A can you talk about your application process? what program you went to? and were you a minority in your program?
This is amazing to see! Random question but do you have to purchase all your supplies/toys/work from home stuff on your own?
Yes, I buy all my materials myself!
@@GraceSojLee where can we buy these materials (supplies/toys/)?

Would you recommend speech therapy virtually or working in person at the school? What is your preference? I would love to know, I’m kinda stuck rn
Lütfen türkçe altyazı da ekler misiniz?
what's your mbti personality type?
why is R not your favorite? I’m new to Slp hehehe
HARD to teach and hard for people to learn!

You can take English classes in the US or download apps such as Duolingo on your phone 😊
