OMG. I have Childhood Apraxia of Speech I went to speech therapy for 15 years. I'm 21 (M) I no longer need speech therapy. I remember playing Don't Break the Ice game I also really like that game!. My SLP also had two tables for younger kids and one for older kids, Your office really reminds me of My old SLP's offices!
I loved seeing all of your therapy materials. I'm a first-year SLP grad student and it was so cool to see what you use. Also, love the hot cheetos in the snack drawer 🤣
This is sooooo helpful just to see how the resources and room looks like. I'm in my first year of my masters course. It's great to get an insight into how it is like once you start working!
This was such a good video! I'm currently an RBT, and we use a lot of Speech Therapy with our kiddos. Yes/no, FCT, teaching sign, teaching how to make sounds, etc. I feel like learning to communicate is SO important, and honestly the biggest thing that can curb maladaptive behaviors (kicking, screaming, biting, eloping, etc.). I think I might head down the SLP avenue since I've seen that do the most good for kiddos, so it was really nice seeing your day-in-the-life!
This is awesome! Thank you for sharing. I am currently a student taking my prerequisite courses before applying to a grad SLP program. This is insightful as I am just learning about the foundational knowledge. I can't wait to get to do more hands on practical stuff. God bless! Also, where do you get those cute little cards with the characters on them?
hello, I'm a college student conducting a thesis and wants to make a speech-to-text device for children who have speech delays, can you spare a minute to share your thoughts about it? and if it is needed by SLP's and why. thank you so much for your time
Never too late! You’ll never not get older anyway (God-willing), so you may as well be 30 (for instance) and just starting the career of your dreams rather than 30 and wondering “what if.”
I work in a school setting now but while I was there, I only had individual sessions so I was able to give my full attention to the patient while addressing his/her goals. There's definitely less paperwork overall but I did have to complete a lot of evaluations. I also liked being able to directly interact with the parents after each session! Each setting has both pros and cons, so it ultimately just comes down to what you're looking for :)
Madam my daughter BASLP (bachler of audiology and speech language pathology) . Please how future of this particular course for my daughter. Being of defence employees we don't know of special listen to much ,
Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't but all depends on the child. I used to be intimidated at first but as long as they're not being distracting during the session, it's actually great having them sit in so they can learn how to carry over the strategies at home!
I Have Childhood Apraxia of Speech. When I was young I used to have My sister and my mom sit in my appointments because I would do no work if at least one of them were not in the room with me. but I got out of that stage in my life. Then I just went to my appointments on my own. They waited either in My SLP's waiting room or in their car. By the way, I went to speech therapy for 15 years.

Great video! Do you make any of your supplies or are they mostly purchased from companies? Like the oral assessment cards, etc. Thank you!
Mostly purchased - I linked the ones from TpT in the description box!
how long does it take for a speech therapy assessment? Do you also use Kenneth Shipley's book assessment for SLP?
I’ve only just begun to realize how much I would love to be an SLP but I feel almost like it’s too late for me
I know the feeling. I'm 30 and just decided I want to get into this field. But I say it's never too late to do what you love.

This was awesome! I plan on transferring to an undergrad SLP program soon from my current college. Where did you attend school?
Awesome video!!!
FAVORITE BLOG! TPT is life... after Jesus. Keep up the hard work! Looks like you are doing a wonderful job girl!
I am actually starting school to become an SLP and I was wondering if you had any tips or just advice in general?
Feel free to check out my Q&A video! I offer some advice there :)
I am curious how long does it take to become SLP?
I’m a 2nd year SLP. How are you liking it? I work in a school and clinic, but wondering about other options.

Also do the parents ever sit in on your appointments and watch?

Wow
Aw I loved this 🥰
did you have to buy all the supplies yourself?
Some of the materials were provided to me but most of them are ones that I've bought/collected over the years during in house clinic and externships!
Hay quá
hiii, have you taken the praxis yet?
Yep, I took it March 2020 right before COVID hit - whew!
U have masters or bachelor, and u know how much bachelors make?
