I'm beginning to wonder if the sales clerks figure out that you've found a hidden underpriced gem and then just tell you they can't find it and then they buy it at a an even lower employee discount and resell it.

Definitely need more regular stores like those that aren’t Game Stop owned that sell retro games. Hated when game stop took over so many game retail stores. Then to find out out that game stop, to zero out their growing inventory, was razor blading most of the disc games people traded in to them. Certain games that people didn’t like, could’ve been loved by others. So many very good games that you can’t find ANYWHERE anymore bcuz game stop destroyed them. So to find stores like you do that have some hard to find gems is a Godsend.
That’s frustrating.
I’ve heard from an inside source that game x change has a policy that if they suspect a customer to be a flipper they will purposely pretend to not find the game… then put the game back out at a higher price

I’ve been doing this for years and got about 3000+ games for my collection for free I sell trade then profit then buy for the collection then repeat and always get my money back in the end to go on bills totally worth it but takes hours of dedication patience and hard work.

Did you know you can still buy sealed copies of FF9 on Square Enix's website store for $19.99? Also Chrono Cross. They made so many copies of the Greatest Hits version that didn't sell, they still are liquidating stock to this day.
For me, the photographing, listing, and shipping is the actual work. Buying stuff to resell is the easy/fun part.
Of course its easy people shop and buy stuff everyday that isnt work

I've just only recently discovered your channel, but much rather enjoy the content you provide because it helps satisfy my collector side and my soon to be reselling side. I'd really love if you could give any advice starting off with reselling video games.
If I saw someone scanning every item in my store, I would kick them out and never allow them back in.

I guess if someone wants the game bad enough they'll pay those prices online but I personally wouldn't. I would just hunt them down at local stores. Best of luck in your dealings.

That’s a valid point. I think the reason why is because the majority of this stuff is for a small group a buyers and the price on these consoles are less but I get what you mean. Same premise.
Because ps5 and xbox series x are new systems that not everyone has the money to cough up $1000+ each, this is coming from a guy who got both for retail on launch day, but I completely understand the frustration
@@VeeVoy Who is still selling consoles for $1000+? If people are trying to sell them at that price, nobody is buying them at those prices anymore. That window was only open in the first 2 months. People are lucky to make $50-$75 on an XSX sale at this point in time. I guess people have finally reached the point where they figure, "Well, I've already waited this long so I'll wait longer."
My point is that people complain about the, "scalpers" with consoles, with graphics cards, with shoes and cards yet this is overlooked and gets a pass. This guy even brags about it! Lol
If someone made a video that was titled, "I make $1000 a day selling consoles," that person would probably have to worry about being attacked.

@@VeeVoy I don't get the stupid Amazon prices either... They can go anywhere from $20 to something outrageous over what the Ebay trends are showing. Sometimes even Ebay sellers try going way over trending price. (No idea how they plan on selling at crazy prices)
A few months back, I was looking for PS3 Folklore and PS2 Soul Reaver 2. Folklore was moving at around $80 and Soul Reaver 2 at around $15, yet Amazon listings were showing $150 and $60. Now, they're listed at $155 and $70! PriceCharting as of now shows $70 for Folklore and $23 for Soul Reaver 2.
This guy is buying irrelevant games like Toy Story 3 just to beat people's heads in when some not too well off mom or dad could have picked that up because their little kid saw it and was interested. Ugh!

I've been in the Game X Change and the Half Price Books near the mall at least once or twice a month and have luckily only come across one or two instances where they couldn't find the disc.
in the UK we buy with CeX who sell at ebay prices so flipping is well hard

Sucks. We used to have emotions a local Movie Exchange that also sold video games. But after Covid, they closed down. It sucks cause where I live, retro video game stores are few and far between. There's some that this lady told me at the auto parts store that I still need to check out but I tend to frequent Half Price Books which often times it's hard to get flips with them becuase they sell they're games at market value if not slightly higher then market value.
Did you know if everyone did this you wouldn't make 400 a day anymore.

I don’t remember which pawn store you were in but you pass by the game “time splitters 2” on GameCube. Right now on Amazon it’s going for $89. I found a wierd network disk sealed in box for playstation 3 for both the slim and fat model at goodwill today :) along with a bunch of orginal xbox games one game was in a block buster video case oh the memories of block buster :)
WWE 2K17 was the last one for PS360, so that should retain some value as well as Madden 17 (same year & same situation.)

What i found was Amazon was like 15% + $1.80 fee. I couldn't really find the eBay fees for video game category... Not sure if it's 12.2% or 14.55% or even maybe 9.35%(might just be if you have store🤷♂️)????

I have a question. He seems to determine market price by looking at a game price on amazon but a game with a price tag of 39$ on amazon doesn't mean it will actually be sold for that price. That's just the price the seller want.

What do you do to hedge against the market and prices dropping? Just like any market, I have to believe it'll recorrect eventually
If they do it should be gradual, and I’ll adjust my purchasing accordingly as it does. Most of my inventory sells within a couple months so I rarely see drastic changes in that time. I do always try to keep my eye on prices for stuff I buy consistently though.

@@PhoenixResale Nope have a couple rare ps1 rpg games some good ps2 games along with a ps2,a bunch of good ps3 games and a ps3,A older style X-box one 500g with about 30 games all in cases and a extra 1 tb hd,A wii with a bunch of good games like the zelda's and mario party,Some 2ds and 3ds games Pokemon including a mystery dungeon one that's worth around $80-$100.And a psp with around 20 games.People pretty much want to offer really low prices like $150 for all the xbox one stuff,$20 on the expensive pokemon game ect.I can understand if people wanna resell I don't mind giving a deal but I am not going to just give it away for nothing or nearly nothing in these cases lol.
