Footage was so rare back in the 80/90s , that was easily the sickest Backdoor ride I've seen Uncle Ho get , I'm freaking blown away by all of it!!

Edited for fear of the traffic nannies plagued by cyber-righteous indignation. They judge an expert prankster completely missing the joke; only because he multi-tasked on Kamehameha Hwy while operating a motor vehicle at pedestrian speed.
So glad to have caught the first two chapters in real time - the LOL's were hearty and true! The multi-course meal was served perfectly finishing with some of the best surfing ever filmed.
There is content, and then there is content creativeness. You and your team exceeded the latter.

love the ending drone shots over Pupukea. amazing water patterns on the rocks. I was there in the summer. Oahu North Shore is such a nothing place. the reef was just OK for snorkeling. Foodland. unappealing food trucks. nothing to attract one's attention...and this place is the Vatican City of world surfing

OMG, broke out laughing at 5:30 when he pops out of a long pipe that I was expecting to close out on him, the wave spit at least twice while he was in it. I'm no expert but I've vote for that being best backdoor ever, WAY TO GO !!!

This is baroque style music so if you like this listen to Bach, Vivaldi, Marcello, Handel, or Telemann. they are some of the great baroque composers
"The Court" by Adrian Berenguer. Not sure if it's remix or just very similar / inspired by original classical pieces of music by Bach, vivaldi, marcello etc but that is the name of the track and the artist.

Every wave John is always in the absolute best position a person could be in that even I, a person who has never surfed a day in my life can see clear as day. Nathan is no slouch himself and is right up there with some of the best but John has that X factor that 1 in million people seem to have.
Dope soundtrack. I grew up associating surf with punk and metal thanks to the videos of the time. I love punk and metal, but setting surf to classical? That's classy and sick at the same time 🤙🤗

Good to see a brother loving his brother with the props the world's best has earned. However, your surfing is right (making late sketchy backdoor drops) there too and in some GIANT measures, exceed what the contest circuit will never fully appreciate, nor be able to ever score accurately.

That looked so much fun. I've surfed for decades, but I've never caught a barrel that perfect and with that much tube time. The closest I've come was a big day surfing in Baja, Mexico and the conditions were excellent (clean, tubing, big). I got a few good ones that day but still nothing as good as those stand up barrel spitters. Excellent video and a good day to remember when you're older (like me) looking back at the good ole days surfing Pipe with the gang.
