How high did that jetski go???
Heard it was a local photog legend who broke his back on the landing. I saw a link to donate to his recovery somewhere.
Air of the winter for sure haha
it was enough that he had to bail on the landing and jump ship...the ski to either side of him turned around to outrun it but he laid it pretty hard.
Prayers to Ryan for a full safe recovery 🙏

Awesome quality! Wave of the Winter coming from this sesh!?!? Also, so there is less confusion, Ryan Moss was on the back one of the two black skis, didn't bail hence the compression fracture. The white ski astronauts hit eject for sure!
I commented on the raw vid, but will repeat here. Outside limit shows he dropped 85ft and hit at 50mph. Estimated wave face about 68ft, or 30 something Hawaiian. Hit the eject button for sure!

I have had to watch this video sooo many times ... for so many reasons ... loved watching an epic PERFECT STUNNING BIG day from beginning to end with all you guys ... where I lived as a teen in the 60’s right on the rip between Himalayas & Laniakea ... Barry Webster was my surfing buddy ... we go when no one else out scared 😂 ... Eddie was my first date ... and saw Himalayas once this big smoking!!! ... but horrible conditions, however, a crazy guy, Flippy Hoffman went full wet suit so he could float, but we could not really see him ... no drones, no leashes ... but he claimed getting trashed was a really great time 😂... I sooo love this video ... mahalo 💞 NUI ... and crazy seeing the river surging with each set in and out ... this video is extremely special to me 🌺💜🌺 sooo miss NS will always be Home, just hate the crowds on the road & water ... live in peace Kona now ... getting to watch you guys rock enjoying Your Time!
