Also I gotta ask, If Thales had the ability to remove Edelgard's advisors and turn her into a puppet why didn't he do that in Three houses? Like wouldn't it make more sense for him to do that in Crimson Flower when Edelgard took over Arianrhode instead of nuking it to set an example? Dammit I hate this plot so much
The only reason he leaves Edelgard be in Three Houses is because he feels he has Edelgard under his thumb throughout the entirety in Three Houses.
Cut to Three Hopes, and Edelgard manages to oust Thales from the Empire, but this manages to come with the mother of all consequences.
Hresvelg territories get bled dry, Hubert is assumed dead, Ferdinand is assumed dead, all of Edelgard's reforms get flushed down a dung-filled toilet, and Edelgard gets turned into a twelve-year old puppet who I can only assume gets turned into...THAT...for Ludwig just to spite Edelgard for rebelling.
On an unrelated note, this isn't the first time I got turned off from playing Dimitri's route.
8:10 I'm sorry but this face makes me laugh. She looks like TWSITD cut off her ability to use the bathroom, and now she has to hold it in for the rest of the game.
I just realized that this is essentially edelgard getting the tragedy of duscar treatment at the end. The person she believes is her family is slain right infront of her and she was powerless to stop while being surrouend by flames. What began with a tradgedy ends with a tragedy. Comes full circle.
first this and then Engage, I see Kaga's thing for mind control still lives on in the series lol
Look how they massacred my girl
At least in this path Thales was actually able to be a villain instead of just lazing about in Shambhala for 90% of the game.
When does three hopes take place in comparison to three houses. Has some time passed in between games or does hopes take place before three houses?? I'm confused.
It's an alternate timeline entirely. Byleth never joined Garreg Mach, Monica wasn't killed and replaced by Kronya, Dimitri didn't lose an eye, etc.... This game and Three Houses don't intersect. Relative to the start, Three Hopes is two years later instead of five.
They did Edelgard dirty in this route. Poor girl
Remind me a good Fire Emblem game with good story and gameplay mechanics
To be fair, this was only one story path.
Didn't she die in the last game?
I believe three hopes is a what if byleth never joined the academy
@@keitatx3270 I see...
So she survives in every routes... sucks.
@@nicolasbanidol2371 I mean in Azure Gleam, she mentally regresses back to her 12 year old child self, which may be worse than dying. There's no sign that she'll recover on that route too
What chapter is this?
8:10 16:05 16:04 16:03 16:06 8:26
Actually. I think this is the best route so far. I haven’t played golden deer yet but I’m starting now.
Yeesh, it’s not that bad.
Azure Gleam kills off Edelgard's most trusted advisers offscreen and removes her agency so that she can be "rescued" by Dimitri. It's by far the worst written path in the game, church loredumps aside.
Yes it is
At least she's still alive and we aren't sure that Hubert and Ferdinand aren't pretending to be dead.
@@nicolasbanidol2371 I rather have her fighting and dying for her ideals.
When she turns Hegemon in AM it is of her own free will and conviction.
Not this insulting nonsense.
This is worse than death.
