I enjoyed every second of this episode. Thank you to everyone involved in this fabulous production. As a little aside …. I was delighted that the video wasn’t polluted with “musick”. Instead the music that was used was contemporary with the period and used judiciously. I really appreciate this as I can concentrate on the information and the art. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Let them web technologies work for you friends & connect people for those who need to become your supporters from now on, let them such iconic locations become Summer camps creative projects to work on, let them young generations work for you guys & improve themselves exploring the love for fine arts along the previous centuries.. why not? Working on movie projects as well...let them those spectacular paintings turn back to life and tell us their stories🎉❤🎉

Nicely done. However, the expression "a professional amateur" is an oxymoron and, therefore, senseless. The French word "amateur" (literally "lover of") describes a person who practices either a craft or is dedicated to scholarly studies without asking or expecting a financial reward; that means is exactly the opposite of a professional, who does these things for a living.
Gainsborough was a wonderful artist, very much a natural like Sir Thomas Lawrence. This portrait of the Earl of Radnor exemplifies his extraordinary skill in capturing a likeness. Sir Joshua Reynolds showed his noble spirit in the beautiful eulogy to Gainsborough in his last discourse to the Royal Academy.
Very interesting observation by Debbie Bichener about Reynolds advertising the use of better pigments, obviously, he was aware of the consequences of his ridiculous experiments that led Horace Walpole to say "“If Sir Joshua is satisfied with his own departed pictures,it is more than the possessors or posterity will be. I think he ought to be paid in annuities for so long as his pictures last.”
