@stephenjablonsky1941 @jennycarter1149 @ KNYD Really ?? The lady gives you a tour of her chateau/home, telling you about her family's history, history itself, architecture, etc... and your favorite part is the dog ??????
Are you mental !!! With no doubt at all, you're Americans. Only Americans will pay that much attention to the dog on the 23 minutes video and write a comment about it. Unbelievable. 🤯

The video is about history and a family. And you have the audacity to compare that with the bound of human and dog ? Fudging stupid.
The lady took time to show you something about her history and you care only about the dog ???? This is mental. Period.
Stay where you are, don't visit the countries who made yours. We'll be pleased. Thanks

O wow,I am so impressed. The lady is so lovely and humble. She has great self control, but I can hear the emotion in her voice. Understandable. The chateau is extraordinary. Huge space indeed. People like saying words with certain intonation about such families with chateau,castles...but I doubt that the majority of them have a realistic idea, what enormous responsibility it is really. And pride of course, but they pay the price one way or another. I love the techniques the resorator was using. So interesting. Touching delicately and revealing original colours. So exciting. All is impressive inside and outside. So much history, the stories..you can almost smell it how it was in the past. I would love to visit this chateau should I have the opportunity. It would be truly special experience. Thank you for this great episode 👍 RIP Madame Mini de Beauvau- Craon.

@@DeathByFashion1But other families also kept their wealth during this time, only it was much smaller, they simply had and still have ordinary, but also fragmented, households. The aristocracy is characterized by community. By sticking together, it copes better organizationally and representatively. Every family grows. However, not every family thinks in terms of unity, investing in the future of generations to live together. Instead of living in 50 houses or apartments, you can live in a large castle or palace that has 50 or 100 rooms. Not every family would exchange houses for one large house because not everyone has developed a culture of cooperation, able to appreciate a large common home. It's a matter of mentality, I know problems of this type from my own family (a much smaller and modest house with only 50 rooms and about 100 windows, inhabited only by 2 people including me, because the others do not feel the idea of community. They turned away and scattered the property, not wanting to take on the burden of renovations. A large old house is a lot of problems if it does not hold the whole family together, then it is the responsibility of a few people who are the only ones who want to keep it in the family instead of selling it, getting rid of the burden). Most people probably prefer to live separately, which is why large estates are hardly built anymore. They prefer to have their own apartment or house instead of their own rooms or mezzanine. I was also encouraged to move out and agree to sell, due to the heating costs and the lack of prospects for renovation. Such as replacing rotting wooden windows or leaking terraces. However, I have an idea to finance it by renting the ground floor :-)

If it's 10 generations they e had the house, and each generation is between 20-30 years, all the math that I know says they've only been there 300 years, which makes no sense at all.

Victoria, hi from Russia. It's a great pleasure, that some of the family castles/chateaus are in such great condition. And a great pleasure that You do share a family history with UA-cam viewers. Hope, You know the meaning of the few coats of arms that You showed. And called them as "family symbols". According to the coats of arms, You and me are far-far-far relatives. Also, You should know to have wide range of relatives in few special locations in Europe. With the same coats of arms. And not only in France. Some of them keeps studying the family history and shows it to the public. As do I. And You.
If You want an additional compliment, Your chateau/mansion/palace looks litle bit gloomy for me, but for sure is one of the most attractive in architectural point of view among the family estate. God knows why, but architectural design and taste was not among the main achievements of the family, as I know ;) So, good luck in keeping this masterpiece. And in development and maintaining. You're great! Bon chance!

This is what we want to see in French palaces from the inside, the ceiling and the high ceilings, the preservation of the high ceilings, the pictures, the floor and the gardens. The important thing is this, which I wanted to see in the high-ceilinged rooms of a real palace and the old furniture. Preserving everything as it was in the rooms. Also, I do not want to see the restoration of the palaces, but some sing it in the modern style. From the inside, but this is what we want to see how the palaces and life in ancient times were really, very beautiful and wonderful👍👏🌷

Thank you for this generous tour of a beautiful home, in a breathtaking chateau. Thank you for making this film and sharing it.

What a blessing to be able to see this beautiful home. I imagine, restoration aside, just keeping up on everyday cleaning must require an entire crew of people. I never thought I would want to be a housekeeper, but to do it here would be a dream. Thank you so much for sharing.
