    another very helpful and impressive video. I was going to set up a mitre saw with a STOP to make all my stud cuts identical but I might go your way with the layout on the deck. Think it will be a bit quicker. I'm spending this weekend watching your videos so thanks for putting so much effort into them and explaining things so clearly.

    You should have replaced the loose timbers that didn't have your guide fixed to them so you can swap and still use your guide without doing it again . Good vid

    Hello mate,
    I am building my own garden room exact same system you have done it all!
    Question, I’m building it 5x3m so regarding when I batten it and clad it. Will that be the external measurement? So when I string line it, so I need to take into account the cladding etc…

    Learning loads on here and cant wait to start mine, Just bought a dewalt 2nd fix gun, Do they suffer with jamming? Will be buying a 1st fix closer to the time of the build :)

      Hello Lee!! So chuffed your finding it useful fella!! They are not too bad for jamming in all honesty and are a piece of cake to un jam (read the instructions, unlike me when I got it lol) Any questions just ping em over buddy! :)

    Nice video mate. When your were marking the base and top plate, you matched the bow in the timber, but in which direction.. or does it not matter? Ps: hope you don’t accidentally fire a nail through your hand when holding a stud so close to the gun…

      Hello bud!!! So I put the bend so that the two ends are in contact with the gap in the middle. So when I put my studs in it’s easier to just push them together and the nails hold it all in 👍 And yeah!! I don’t really fancy a nail in my hand anytime soon! Lol 😂

    Hi Steve. I haven’t got access to a nail gun so I will be using screws. What size do you recommend

    • @TheHomeRenovationExperts
      @TheHomeRenovationExperts  3 роки тому +1

      Hello Robbie!! Righto no nail gun is fine! But I'd still use nails fella. They have better strength and resist snapping under bending pressure. Get your self a good few bags of loose 90mm nails and have at it! Its actually good fun and doesn't take long to get into the swing of it :)

    Are you super tall? Or are these walls a bit short?;

    • @TheHomeRenovationExperts
      @TheHomeRenovationExperts  3 роки тому

      Hello Tyler!! I do stand at over 6ft 2" tall but the front wall is just under 2.1m and the back wall is just over 1.9. Its as heigh as I can go under the fixed 2.5 max height limit for 'permitted builds. Still plenty of room though, just no swing a cat up too high :)
