I've noticed that the money rock island will not spawn bugs, but most of the islands could be forced into spawning tarantulas up until the giant water bugs took over

Not necessarily -- the large fish one is a pain bc the sea is pretty much 100% sea bass. If you're northern hemisphere, then river isn't spawning anything that great that meets the size 5+ (snapping turtle maybe, but that's at night). I grinded for 3 hours on that island for 8 "big fish" and only 160k richer. Grinding on tarantulas is more worthwhile on amount of bells per hour.
Kristendelores I’m on the charts island number 19. I’ve been on it for hours now. Mostly caught all black bass in the river took for we to catch anything that’s ain’t a sea bass or a red snapper. Basically. After 3 hours or more I’ve only caught one oarfish and two Coelacanth and I’m in the northern hemisphere too. Not sure if that’s relevant.

The Ls are the way Japanese clothing sizes works so I would assume they mean shadow size, L being large, LL being extra large, and LLL being the equivalent of a 2xl.
i got the scorpion island tonight! can confirm. i cleared out my inventory on the island to maximize my haul. i may have been too slow and only received 7 gold nuggets however. with a full inventory of scorpions minus the nuggets, the total reached just over 300k. stored them in my house and waiting for the Flick to come back to my island to see to him. what an awesome experience!

Island #23 is a rare fish island. You can spawn Steurgon in the river mouth if you despawn the fish on the higher levels. Not as fast as farming tarantulas but more profitable.
Falls Island has a benefit. You can fish for Golden Trout on the Tier 2 and 3 terrains with enough patience (normally only Tier 3 [clifftop]). I’ve gotten four today including 2 bonus Oarfish on a quick bell hunt :) They have a higher spawn rate there in my opinion.
Last month in Falls Island the spawn rate for Sturgeon was incredibly high, I just do a loop to clear out shadows around the island and a new one would spawn at the river mouth. I think I caught like 15-20. Also got my stringfish, tuna, char and golden trout there.
so, you can make tarantula's spawn on any of them, my favorite island to make tarantulized is bamboo island because no lake or river or cliff makes it easy to navigate
I’ve successfully made a tarantula island out of bamboo islands multiple times by taking out the other places bugs can spawn and scaring away any that aren’t tarantulas. I get hype when I get that one now.

FYI People!!! The tarantula hack doesn't work anymore.. as it will just spawn large water bugs... they sell for 2000.. they take up the spawn rate.. so no tarantulas will spawn.. learned the hard way...
I've been to a lot of the islands. Normal Island 1 and 2, Spiral Island, Pond Island, Mountain Island, Bamboo Island, Money Rock Lake Island, Fruit Island, Flower Island (Hybrid Lilies!), Tarantula Island, Waterfall Island and Big Fish Loop Island. I haven't visited Fins Island, Gold Island, Curly River Island, Trash Island, Money Rock Field Island or either Tree Island.
Even an average island can be productive with a some grinding. Made it to Mountain Island last night, not much to see and do, but I did a lot of fishing and caught (11 red snappers $30,000)(10 Barred Knifejaw $50,000)(1 TUNA $7,000) & (1 Oarfish $9,000) I would say not too bad! it wasn't easy but I made the trip count.
I got the tarantula island and I'm glad I went in with the mindset of tarantula farming. I didn't know it was rare or that it was for tarantulas only. I do regret not expanding my inventory but I did get 144k bells so pretty good :)
How to get rare islands (from what I’ve heard these work) 1: Feng shui room. This has worked in a lot of animal crossings before new horizons, basically you need specific color furniture in specific spots, I’m a bit lazy to explain this right now but if you search up “Feng shui room animal crossing” in google or in UA-cam you’ll understand, basically it raises your luck in the game so you get much more rare islands 2: Clap for Willbur. I’m not sure if this is true or not, but people have said it’s worked. Basically you need reactions for this to work. You have to clap for Willbur at dodo airlines before you use your ticket. You have to clap for him until he starts to blush
All islands can be tarantula island but the layout and of course how we see now in April, different islands can increase and decrease the spawn rate depending what’s already being spawned in and how much you can clear
The money rock island two has ALOT of scorpions like that's all that spawns there and alot of the fish are sharks. I filled up my inventory with all scorpions, great whites, and saw sharks and got all the money from the rocks it's awesome!

All this happening at 4:30am and I can’t sleep from adrenaline. (One of the shark was hammerhead shark and idk what’s the other one called because I have the game set it as Japanese)

To make your own tarantula island, it works best on islands with more grass, flat land, and not a lot of water bc of the water bugs. Ive been trying to out on a lot of islands, it just takes more time since they spawn slower

Edit: Today, the day after this comment, I found the money rock island on my second ticket! Edit 2: Same day and I found the mountain island in my third ticket lol. Edit 4: it’s been some days and I didn’t get any rare island or anything, but one of my unwanted villagers move out and I didn’t really had many tickets to villager hunt. I decided to only use 24 tickets and in the FIRST TICKET, I got Molly, one of my dreamies.
I've had Pond island or #4 be good for tarantula farming. It depends on the insects spawning though. Now that mole crickets and giant water bugs are out it only seems to work if you spawn in the rain. I got tarantula island really early in my gane and I only caught like 4 of them cause I didn't know! I've been trying to get back ever since.

I don’t know what it was but I was once on spiral island and fell asleep and woke up the next morning, I was still on the island and all of a sudden all rare fish started appearing like snapping turtles, arowanas, and white sharks. I even got the big moth, Goliath moth was it? Idk if you start getting rarer fish and bugs the longer you stay or what.

Uta V I wouldn’t necessarily say you never would without trading; In Wild World I was once mailed a fruit from the mom in the game, they may include more mechanics like that?? But trading is def your best bet
You get a letter from your mom when you start the game with a 3rd type of fruit, but other than that I don't believe there is any way to get the other 2 types of fruit without visiting another person's island or having them visit yours. You could have someone mail you fruit, but in order to send in-game mail, they need to have visited your island at least once anyway.
I saw tarantulas on almost every of those islands (also curly river island), sometimes they spawned rarely, on some isles they spawned more often but I do not think there is one that doesnt spawn them. Edit: Also got big fish island in april without rare fish, but with lots of giant water bugs, the fish were mostly eggs
So glad bamboo island is so common. It is the tits for tarantula hunting and even better during July. Yeah went testing. Take everything down but the palm trees and run everything off but sharks and you will be swimming in money. Ignore the scorpions, and the rainbow stag as well, of course, the 1k ones as well. Aim for the 8k and above bugs. Still have yet to find the bloody gold stag for some reason.

I’ve never gotten any bugs or fish that are out of season and I do a lot of mystery islands so I think they have to be in season but you never know🤷🏻♂️
I caught a crawfish on the rare-flower island back in March, and crawfish should have only come into season now in April. On the same day and island I also caught a Ranchu Goldfish outside of its normal spawning time. Both of these were after a long time of fishing, so it's rare but you can catch fish out of their season and spawning times, at least at that island

Question: because the list said you can visit some islands only once per day. Does that mean that you can only get one out of these one-visit-islands per day or can you get every one of them in one day, but just once? Cause I had tarantula island today, bought a bunch of tickets, and even with the flattering method, I didn’t get any of the other one-visit-per-day-islands. Just so I don’t waste any miles if I get one of them 🤔
Ashana B the percentages represent the chance that you will get one, probability is not always reality. The game just generates random numbers to determine what you get - those numbers are almost certainly correct.
Bamboo islands can spawn tarantulas. They're my ideal island for tarantulas (aside from tarantula island) because they're flat and you can get rid if the bamboo & clear the ground easily. Then you run around and scare off any non-tarantula bugs and tarantulas will spawn. It's not as good as tarantula island obviously and takes more time, but you can make something good out of it if you didn't get lucky with tarantula island
I've visited at least three islands every day since I was able, and I think I've been to bamboo island about 8 times, trash island 3 times, money rock island once, and flower island once. No other rare islands, so the data checks out pretty well for me.
I believe the L's are referring to the levels (the cliffs) so L is the first level/the ground, LL is the second level/the first cliff and LLL is the third level/the second cliff. Hope this helps anyone who was wondering :D (I don't know what the J and K means though so yeah...)

Supposedly bamboo island is really good for transforming it too, no river going through or pond, just remove everything completely and boom

If you cut everything down on bamboo island and pull up all the plants, you will have a chance that tarantulas will start spawning.
To make your own tarantula island, it works best on islands with more grass, flat land, and not a lot of water bc of the water bugs. Ive been trying to out on a lot of islands, it just takes more time since they spawn slower
Right now I was like villager hunting and not only I found a villager on my dreamies list, but I found the finne fish island, on my 7th ticket!
Edit: Today, the day after this comment, I found the money rock island on my second ticket!
Edit 2: Same day and I found the mountain island in my third ticket lol.
Edit 3: SAME DAY and I found the money rock island AGAIN!
Edit 4: it’s been some days and I didn’t get any rare island or anything, but one of my unwanted villagers move out and I didn’t really had many tickets to villager hunt. I decided to only use 24 tickets and in the FIRST TICKET, I got Molly, one of my dreamies.
I finally managed to go on my first island tour but it wasn't that great.. so i went again lol
I’m pretty sure I got #24 because it had scorpions and the same lay out but i was still new to the game and just left with 2 scorpions
I've had Pond island or #4 be good for tarantula farming.
It depends on the insects spawning though. Now that mole crickets and giant water bugs are out it only seems to work if you spawn in the rain.
I got tarantula island really early in my gane and I only caught like 4 of them cause I didn't know!

Can i get peaches or apples if my native fruit is pears? I really want peaches and apples as well as oranges on my island, but the only islands i end up landing on is all pears. What can i do to get the desired fruit, without having to waste all my nook miles?
I don’t know what it was but I was once on spiral island and fell asleep and woke up the next morning, I was still on the island and all of a sudden all rare fish started appearing like snapping turtles, arowanas, and white sharks. I even got the big moth, Goliath moth was it? Idk if you start getting rarer fish and bugs the longer you stay or what.
I’ve had mountain island they had like a mountain and on top was a lot of rocks it’s a really nice island to get I got a lot of iron
So there is no chance of getting fruit beside your native and sister fruit? If I don't visit other peoples islands I will never get new types of fruit?
Uta V I wouldn’t necessarily say you never would without trading; In Wild World I was once mailed a fruit from the mom in the game, they may include more mechanics like that?? But trading is def your best bet
You get a letter from your mom when you start the game with a 3rd type of fruit, but other than that I don't believe there is any way to get the other 2 types of fruit without visiting another person's island or having them visit yours. You could have someone mail you fruit, but in order to send in-game mail, they need to have visited your island at least once anyway.
Justin Shands the mom fruit for me was just my sister fruit. I had to get the other 3 from friends

I got money rock island, while I was tarantula farming, and couldn't afford another ticket, and the times I did get tarantulas I fainted every time.
I saw tarantulas on almost every of those islands (also curly river island), sometimes they spawned rarely, on some isles they spawned more often but I do not think there is one that doesnt spawn them.
Edit: Also got big fish island in april without rare fish, but with lots of giant water bugs, the fish were mostly eggs
Went to the Tarantula mystery island and they just kept spawning, no need to remove trees.
So glad bamboo island is so common. It is the tits for tarantula hunting and even better during July. Yeah went testing. Take everything down but the palm trees and run everything off but sharks and you will be swimming in money. Ignore the scorpions, and the rainbow stag as well, of course, the 1k ones as well. Aim for the 8k and above bugs. Still have yet to find the bloody gold stag for some reason.
i went to island 7 the other day and thought it was the most crappiest island ever cus I couldn’t get to the middle where all the money rock were. now i’m pissed :(
You break the rock at the top by eating fruit then valet pole to the island with the rocks

So I got big fish island 2. Are the fish seasonal based? I have only gotten black bass but wanna know if I should stay or not to see if I could get the other fish. Just wanna know if I'm waiting time
I went to island 2 on my first day I played a lot I did not know it was rare but good thing is I got fauna on it
I used the bamboo island to make it a tarantula island and it works well
I’ve never gotten any bugs or fish that are out of season and I do a lot of mystery islands so I think they have to be in season but you never know🤷🏻♂️
I caught a crawfish on the rare-flower island back in March, and crawfish should have only come into season now in April. On the same day and island I also caught a Ranchu Goldfish outside of its normal spawning time. Both of these were after a long time of fishing, so it's rare but you can catch fish out of their season and spawning times, at least at that island
@@TheLizgigler no I don't think that's how the game works. You can only catch bugs if they're in season.
@@jesusporfirio8321 I agree for bugs, as I've never seen any out of season. But in my experience I have caught two fish out of season/time on the hybrid flower island
there is actually another island nobody mentions ive been to it its Meteor Island you can make infinite amount of wishes and a bunch of angler fish and has money trees 3000 bells a piece and theres a lot of trees!!!

Question: because the list said you can visit some islands only once per day. Does that mean that you can only get one out of these one-visit-islands per day or can you get every one of them in one day, but just once? Cause I had tarantula island today, bought a bunch of tickets, and even with the flattering method, I didn’t get any of the other one-visit-per-day-islands. Just so I don’t waste any miles if I get one of them 🤔
I've only gotten bamboo island like once, and I do 3 islands a night. So I don't feel like those percentages are correct..
Ashana B the percentages represent the chance that you will get one, probability is not always reality. The game just generates random numbers to determine what you get - those numbers are almost certainly correct.

Bamboo islands can spawn tarantulas. They're my ideal island for tarantulas (aside from tarantula island) because they're flat and you can get rid if the bamboo & clear the ground easily. Then you run around and scare off any non-tarantula bugs and tarantulas will spawn.
It's not as good as tarantula island obviously and takes more time, but you can make something good out of it if you didn't get lucky with tarantula island

Got Gold nugget island last night. If you go at night only scorpions spawn too so it’s a REALLY great island to get
Nothing is more painful than thinking your on a normal island so you left then you discovered that island you just left is a very rare island
You can totally get tarantulas on any island. You just have to keep despawning other bugs

I land on islands 0 or 1 pretty much every time. Been to bamboo island a few times too.
I've visited at least three islands every day since I was able, and I think I've been to bamboo island about 8 times, trash island 3 times, money rock island once, and flower island once. No other rare islands, so the data checks out pretty well for me.

I believe the L's are referring to the levels (the cliffs) so L is the first level/the ground, LL is the second level/the first cliff and LLL is the third level/the second cliff. Hope this helps anyone who was wondering :D
