Hi I'm Michael and live in the UK I'm 78 years old and been riding bikes since 1966 I have owned 3 Hayabusa's and covered over 16000 miles touring all over Europe , yes I've tried and rode just about every thing on wheels . The bike don't need pissing about with it's superb , but will say at my age I've fitted helle bars to ease me up a wee bit I ride a gen 2 and love it .

Respect. I also agree, these bikes do not need any alterations, including a new exhaust. I have just turned 60 and own a Gen 3 which I have long since run-in. Incredible machines. Makes my old Kawasaki Z1300 seem like a lardy slug.

Hayabusa, 12r and black bird were the most aero dynamic bikes in world . Even now . These are not just bikes this is all about when japs gave aerodynamics responsibilities to Aero guys.

I don't understand why they don't have standard touring panniers. I would buy one if they did and I could go touring with my bike

hi.. great video.. one unrelated query, it seems you are wearing HJC helmet. Is it good for noise isolation at 80/90 MPH speed and which model you are using?

I have a quality Shoei helmet but still wear earplugs, noise blocking ones. I find it gives a much better ride.

The rear view of this bike keeps reminding me of the Honda silverwing scooter.

I wonder how the bmw s1000rr would stack up against the hayabusa when it comes to touring with a person that is 6'2" or 6'3" tall in height ? Conclusively, there is ONLY one other motorcycle, in mass production, that has a bigger torque than the hayabusa; and that is the Triumph Rocket 3R/3GT with it's 163 ft/lb of torque which is about 70% higher than the hayabusa !!!

I test rode the Rocket last month. The torque is no joke! It LUNGES forward at the twist of your wrist! Not a good tourer though. That front tire is huge, and the ‘Busa would run circles around it.

@@BikesandBriar I'm sure the busa would put it to shame for sure...haha..but for tall people, guys who are 6'1" - 6'4" tall, I think the Rocket 3 would be more comfortable....but someone else told me that the BMW s1000RR would be more comfortable to ride, for a tall person, than the busa because the bmw s1000rr was designed and created and engineered by men who were at least 6 feet tall...

@@markettradinggenius that’s interesting that someone would say the S1000RR would be more comfortable than a Busa. I just test rode a RR last week and I would disagree. For a sportbike it is relatively comfortable. It feels like you’re riding a 600 supersport. But you’re more stretched out on Busa. For reference, I’m 5’11”.
The Busa also has a longer wheelbase and would likely soak up the bumps a bit better. I think for longer trips you’d be more comfortable on the Busa.

@@BikesandBriar If you are 6'2" or 6'4" the length of a person's legs alone would be too high on a busa, in which case there are solutions for that such as lowering the pegs 40 mm or so, but on a bmw s1000R(or the new 2023 BMW M 1000R, it's very upright and your knees are not near your rib cage and those particular bikes are great for touring as well....I made a mistake and said s1000RR, but my mind was on the s1000R(m1000 R)

@@markettradinggenius The Rocket 3r is a good tourer. I have the 2022 black edition and have rode it 300 miles one way with no problem! It has cruise control so you can relax that throttle hand. With mid peg position it is very comfortable!

It's not a Heyebeusa. And it's not a sport tourer.
