Nice video, I probably would check the ignition lead with my meter for resistance, and if it was low and the connections were good. I would probably not change it.
Normally always the probes, but the ceramic was breaking down on this one.
Always nice to find a problem with a intermittent issue. 👍

Be careful with that green clip lead. That wire insulation is probably only rated for 300 volts. So the 6kv will leak through the insulation. Just make sure you are not grounded when you touch the green test lead. Beware of where your other hand is. A safer way to do that test would be to connect the clip lead to ground first, then bring the other end close to the transformer terminal. That way the wire is always at ground potential, spark or not.
