Just made the switch from ARM DP’s and resonated EL to this exact setup. I had the same complaints about the EL setup. So happy with the single Midpipe setup so far🔥
I love the AA midpipe, the best way I can describe it is that it gives you the "true" inline 6 sound, more 90s jdm-ish, whereas the equal gives you the BMW n/a throattiness, but I don't think it sounds as good. This video made me tempted to try out the dinan exhaust thought. Currently on VRSF downpipe with AA Midpipe and Comp muffler.
I agree. currently on Stock DP Equal length non res and MPE titanium muffler. i personally like the higher tone but the deeper tone for sure is more true to the car
yo, do you have any sound clips of that setup. Im thinking of getting that on my m4cs. Seems like a good setup if you're not gonna change the dp on the car
I have this setup as well- stock dp, AA equal non-res, and MPE exhaust. Huge improvement over stock. In my opinion, this setup is the way to go if not swapping out DP.
I have been a car enthusiast since 18, that was like 20 years ago. I can tell you for everyday driving deeper tone sounds the best, raspy sounds just unbearable.
Heard that combo a number of times in the flesh and it does sound unreal 🔥🔥Proper aggressive race/rally car sound with the Arm resonated downpipes keeping the raspiness out along with the Midpipe for full flow! This is the most likely setup I'm gonna go for on my facelift F82 and it doesn't break the bank either lol
About to throw a AA GESI high flow DP, AA resonated single midpipe, and AA mad maxx exhaust on my m3 lol. Lets see how it goes. Currently running Stage 1 tune, looking to progress to Stage 2.
I agree I prefer the sound of the equal length in the video, but just like you I haven't heard either in person so no idea if that would change my opinion or not.
Single midpipe gang! Tbh I think everyone tries to escape the s55 sound but it's always going to be an s55. Don't like the tone may aswell my a different car. I'm running vrsf downpipes, single midpipe and comp backbox and think it's the best bang for buck. May be worth trying your GTS titanium muffler on to see if the titanium can add abit more high pitch now as you have the bass/depth from the midpipe

This Single still doesn't sound bad though, I'll prob grab this set up myself for cost reasons but I don't think its perfectly dialed unfortunately. Its like a 8/10

Doesnt m4 gts has a roll cage
Nah, no Downpipes for me... dont want to mess with that... thinking of slapping the AA EL MP on to my ZCP and calling it a day... heard some other clips.. think thats the way to go as long as your car is ZCP
Nothing like spending 12 thousand dollars in exhaust ;D
Definitely the best sound. Stock sound…not too good
Is It the one!?
It is, the one
Wwwooowww 🔥🔥🔥🙌
It's not really the S55. It's the twin turbos on the S55.
Take the stock turbos out of an M4, put a single turbo system in there and it sounds way different.
It’s the unequal Downpipes. That’s where the tone comes from mostly. But yes, single changes the tone drastically
A lot better!
The EL sounds way too high pitched ricer v6 for me
Agree
