@@mervinjoshuadevera4702 what kind of feedback? hearing yourself?? If so, then make sure you only enabled A1 for voicemeeter VAIO, and double check everything is routed correctly ?
I watched about 5 videos that are twice as long trying to explain what you did in about 6 minutes. Very well explained, especially the tip about changing the audio cable's name to Discord input/output. Very clever tip. Thanks for the help!

I dont have the VB-Audio Virtual Cable option in my sound settings

Out of all the goddamn tutorials I've watched, this has been the fastest and the most effective one. Thank you so much for making this.
Forgot to mention in the video that YOU will need to run voicemeeter banana in the background as your main audio driver.
And to make it run with start-up softwares, just click on menu in Voicemeeter banana > check Run on Startup .

When I setup the discord part, it doesn't read the 'VoiceMeter Output settingg', only the other Microphone Realtek variant. And also even if I tick off the B2 at desktop, the mic can still pickup the desktop sound. Please help.

the discord input doesnt pop up as one of the options even though I have it enabled and everything like that
Hi, I got everything working in that my mic is picking up audio and my headphones are playing all the sounds I should hear, but everything is very distorted. I am using a Blue Snowball ICE and have all devices set to 4800kHz. Does anyone know how to get rid of the distortion? Both my mic audio and my audio playback are distorted.

Prolly you got B1 or B2 enabled in discord channel, OR something went wrong when routing the audio .

Hey, so when I go to the sound panel and go to change my audio virtual cable to discord I don't see it. Like discord isn't an option that i can select.

@1:34 - You say that you must change your virtual cable to Discord, yet you already have it setup but mine is not. So how do we set this up? I thought the purpose of this video is to show us how to EASILY set this up but youve skipped this step...
You also tell us to rename this, but dont show how. When I left or right click that specific virtual cable in that list as you show it, theres no option to rename.
You got straight to the point, this helped me setup my new mic for OBS and Discord.

the moment I change my input at 1:10, I get no audio anymore. I'm using a Corsair Headset and the audio works only when I have that one selected...This Voicemeeter thing looks so complicated...
Did everything you said .... I got no sound in my headset. With your setting and even if I change them back.....awesome
Enable A1 in voicemeeter VAIO and make sure you selected the *hardware out* as your headset .

Make sure you actually did download the virtual cable ? Because those two are different softwares .
If it didnt appear then my guess is some softwate is conflicting with it
Ammar Tech please help. When I go to download the virtual cable it just makes me extract a bunch of files. Idk what file to extract or if I’m even in the right place.

I need help. When i go into the advanced sound settings and have to set discords input and output there is no discord in advanced sound settings in playback and recording
For my audio output and input, it only says cable output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable) and cable input (Same thing) is that basically the same thing?
The (VB-Audio Virtual Cable) is the virtual cable to configure Discord with in this video, you should find all other inputs and outputs
So once you download voicemeeter banana and restart your PC those inputs and outputs should be there * Assuming you mean the first part of the video *
Desktop output > voicemeeter input VAIO
Desktop input > voicemeeter output VAIO

@@zdistinction1217 okay, can you see it in your *sound control panel* ?
If so, then in *playback tab* choose VoiceMeeter Input as your Default device , and in *recording tab* choose VoiceMeeter Output as your default drive and Voicemeeter Aux Output as default communication device .
If you cant see them even in Sound control panel, then something went wrong when installing i'd assume, or maybe you didnt restart your PC after downloading Voicemeeter banana and virtual cable

If you dont want to hear yourself, turn off A1 from your mic * if you followed my guide *

@@ammartech3660 i did everything in the guide but when i make a test voice in discord i cant hear myself..i can hear myself if i enable A1 again on voicemeter but what i want to do is to mute myself from voicemeter so i can hear myself only from test from the discord with the edited EQ settings(voicemeeter)
@@axlakias i haven't test on how to do that honestly , okay so for doing some EQ for you mic, you should enable A1 on the Mic side *in voicemeeter banana*, and once you got the sounds to your liking, then just uncheck A1 from the mic and the EQ along with your voice should be routed to your discord without a single issue .

it wont install for me. i mean it does install but when i reboot my pc nothing is there. there is no voicemeter application anywhere for me to open
any time I changed my input or output to voicemeeter it made it so I couldn't even hear anything.
Every time I follow this it plays everything into my Discord and I'm trying to use this program to play Sound Bites in game and in Discord. Not every thing. Not sure what I'm doing wrong

Try settings in Voicemeeter banana > then increase the sample rste

OKAY i followed everything and now everybody in discord can hear when i play youtube videos. can i fix that?
The only thing that echos is when other people are talking on discord when i stream, and the echo is only in the stream so its not my mic picking up their audio. I am unsure of how to fix it?
I only have 2 outputs (you have microphone, discord and nothing), I don't have A1 A2 and A3 and don't have that thingy on the right. Help?
You most probably did use VoiceMeeter " the normal one and not the VoiceMeeter Banana "
Enjoyed the video! I was hoping if you can answer a question. If I add noisegate and mess around with the eq settings on obs but not on VoiceMeeter Banana then will it still put filters on my voice when on discord call?
If you add Noisegate and EQ in OBS, it will effect the stream/recording, but not discord.

Renaming wont make a differants other then trowing a error and may not work correctly i dont recomment changing the name

great video, I just ran into one problem that i'm trying to fix rn: my desktop audio plays through my mic. I followed everything but I use streamlabs obs so I think the error might be due to that

Why are you sending your mic to B1? Isn't B1 desktop, so other players will listen your voice (with sfx) + in game sound (like gunshots, footsteps, etc) ?

Im sending my mic to B1 because I did route it to my Discord + for In-game voice over, and no other players wont be able to listen to my gameplay sound because my mic is the one which is routed to my desktop, so basically its only adds " Mic " sound to the desktop / in-game . and then route desktop/in-game sounds + mic sound to OBS, and it will capture everything.
I did update the video with another one, which I did cover basically everything nice and slow.

When I download the virtual cable, it shows it in the recording tab for me but not it the playback tab where yours is, how do I get it there?

This simply does not work. You leave out a ton of steps and this is highly out of date. Please take down your video and replace it with one that actually solves the issue.

so im not sure if its a viocemeeter issue, but everything works fine, but my microphone sounds incredibly crackly. the actual microphone sounds perfectly normal, but vie voicemeeter, sounds incredible crackly. any idea why this could be?
