Nice selection of knives to demonstrate the variety of shapes, even in a single blades type. Thanks, Stephen. You give some very good real world advice on knife buying.
Couldn't agree with you more Paddy, trying to poke or pierce with a slip joint isn't really what anyone should really be doing!! A lot of nice looking knives there mate , & I agree with you 100% regarding the clip point & spear point blades, I've never found either of them ever lacking in the poking department (not that any of us should be poking with them lol) cheers, take care Paddy, wee Jud & Mikey 😀👍🗡⚔️.
#1:spear #2:sheep's foot #3:clip. In terms of functionality and versatility in my opinion. Its a toss up between the spear and standard clip for me. Great video Stephen, thanks much!🙂👍🏻
Love the clip point from a visual standpoint, kind of influenced by loving the Scream movie franchise but can't really justify £100 on a buck 120 which I have zero use for 😅
Hey patty. Patty, anyone's favorite blade shape is the one they use most of the time. If you think the clip is your favorite because of asthmatics, then display it where you can enjoy it. Otherwise use the clip most of the time and stop blowing smoke. By the way I love your accent. 😮😊😅❤
Beautiful knives and great points about the different blades. Have a great blessed day.

Wharncliffe, drop-point and sheepfoot are my favourites. Great video Paddy.
Man talk about a subject that will get all kinds of responses and keep the conversation going for awhile. I love it.

Great video Paddy!
A clip point is a fantastic knife blade. I prefer spear or warncliff
I have to say I'm partial to a good clip point but, I'm also liking the sheepsfoot on the RCB sweetwater creek senator.

Thanks for sharing!
1 spear point . 2 pruning / hawkbill. 3 clip point . 🖖
Oh boy, I missed out on that RRR Barlow.
The Boker Barlow and the Barlow prime have been a good companion the past years. The O1 and N690 blades are reliable enough.
spear point for my everyday work.
Spear point. Best general shape IMO.
A spear point for most general everyday use and a sheep’s foot for more of a utility cuts for me.

Paddy , what is the difference between a spearpoint and a drop point blade?
@@rankmanupthejohns116 A drop point is a long shallow decline from tang to the tip.👍☘️
Clip point
I like what I like and what works for the tasks, but labeling the shapes is quite confusing to me
#1 Clip point #2 Spear Point #3 Wharny.

Asthmatic knife blades?
