    With the crappy CVT gone it looks like Nissan is on the right track. The jury is in about this 2.0 turbo 4 though. The 3.5 v6 was a great engine.

    • @BigAltimaEnergy719

      EPA will not allow the V6 to continue, and the 2.0 turbo has been produced since 2017 with no major issues, assuming most people especially Nissan owners do not maintain their vehicles then the turbo would be a problem for them…

      @EricFortuneJr. Місяць тому +1

      @@dellkajiwara5377It's about more than just higher mpg ratings. A 4 cylinder will generate fewer emissions than its V6 predecessor. Even a turbo 4 will pollute less than a V6 as long as everything is working correctly and it's not consuming oil.

    • @dellkajiwara5377
      @dellkajiwara5377 Місяць тому

      @EricFortuneJr. fair point, however, that depends on where you live. Having a V6 can have its uses in places where it is not flat for hundreds of miles like it is in the mainland usa. Places like hawaii, none of the roads where I live are flat.

    Key competition would be:
    Jeep Grand Cherokee
    Ford Edge
    Chevy Blazer
    Honda Passport
    Mazda CX-50
    And to a certain extent:

    Toyota Crown Signia/ venza

    To me the Murano always kinda represented that tweener segment between mainstream and 'luxury'. Like what we used to call 'personal luxury' cars like the Thunderbird.
    I kinda don't think the turbo 4 is the way to go for a vehicle like this, but apparently they're just phasing out that V6 altogether. I would've thought some formulation of the Frontier's 3.8 or a new V6 based on the 3.0 in the Infiniti Q50 could've been at play, but oh well.

    What has always stood out about the Murano is how wild the exterior design was vs. the competition. The Koreans have caught up and redefined “wild design” with the Kia Sportage and Hyundai Tucson. The new Murano simply looks like a Tucson and Aryia and now just blends in. The competition also offers a hybrid in the US. Nissan needs to understand you can’t go halfway all the time.

    The new designs inside and outside put Honda and Toyota to shame. A now a 9-speed! Nissan is on a roll!! In fact, I think it compares well to the 2024 Buick Envision.

    Maybe Nissan is finally realizing those CVT transmissions are killing their business and reputation. I’ve always love the Murano 💙 the new one is a looker 👍🏾

    Push button transmission controls are a terrible trend for you Nissan, coming from a longtime Nissan owner. You can have tons of space in center console, with a traditional shift lever (see latest Toyota Sienna update).
