I started walking the past two months over 10,000 steps at work on my down time. I feel MUCH better, my stomach is shrinking and hips. Glad I found your video so encouraging and you're easy on the eyes and ears 👍

Have you ever done a video on intra set stretching. To help induce musculature hyperplasia.

Since June of this year, I have lost 17KG. 15KG was exclusively walking... a little bit of cycling. Almost 50km per week.
Now I joined a gym and I'm noticed that anything other than free weight training (as in not a resistance machine) really doesn't help form or posture. Dead lifts force your to use compound muscle movements. The resistance machines don't care if I use my core or not however. So i'm really hoping to get in to lifting, and also bodyweight training like calesthenics as I used to do a lot of parkour a few years ago and I love it because it was just being creative with movement rather than doing the same movements over and over and focusing on fewer muscle groups like in the gym.
I was 105kg. I'm not 87-88kg. My target it about 82kg, which is where i was 4 years ago. I'm sweating it out every step of the way. :)

You are so awesome! I have been teaching my clients to walk since I went to Penn tech and had to “learn” it myself. So benefits!!! Thank you for putting it all together with the research ❤️

And on the topic of walking. It's so much better than I first thought. I can walk 5 miles and feel refreshed. Or I can jog 5 miles and personally I feel a little drained. I am still in the process of losing weight so perhaps that's why I'm not refreshed, but walking is better for me

What's your opinion on walking treadmills? I'm considering buying one as I sit for 8-12+ hours per day. Lots of people seem to report alleviation of back pain & better energy levels through the day, but unfortunately, it's not a magic bullet... I've read criticism that the bio-mechanical forces that treadmills stimulate are NOT the same ones that that you would naturally encounter while doing regular ole walking. "Treadmill gait patterns call on body-position programs similar to the ones used for sitting all day" according to Katy Bowman.
Katy Bowman wrote a blog article on this called "Junk Food Movement" and episode 9 of her podcast is on this subject. Here's another quote from her:
"The issue is the reverse gait pattern that walking on either a manual or powered treadmill causes. It prevents the ability of pushing off the back foot and propelling yourself forward, which causes incorrect muscle patterns that are necessary for actual walking."
What do you think? I'm seriously considering buying a walking treadmill desk for use at work. I have hip and leg pain that I absolutely know is related to excessive amounts of sitting. I've worked with a couple bodyworkers who've confirmed this. I'm thinking that alternating between sitting, my standing desk, and my treadmill desk setup at work would probably be better than just the basically static standing and sitting I'm doing right now. I have tried getting up earlier and walking outside for 30 minutes before work, but it's just not sustainable.
I guess my question is -- do you think the benefits of moderate walking treadmill use outweighs the negatives associated with the unnatural movement you're doing while using a treadmill? Thanks and keep up the good work!

What a coincidence that this video popped up when I turned on UA-cam while started to prepare dinner for my family after I came home from forty minutes walk.

I just got to the part where you are talking about the ostrich races and the names you mentioned cracked me up. I'm sitting here laughing in my office like a crazy woman. Thank you for putting this video out. I'm currently working on establishing a routine to walk during my 20 min breaks and 30 min lunch I'm so glad I came across your video.

We were designed to squat down. For pooping and just resting in a squated position. Squat down to do stuff like slice meat, make tools, make fire etc. Etc. Chairs and tables are 100% not meant for us, that is for sure.

Thanks for the video. Great info and great voice! Btw, why father did not grow up with a car and we never one while I grew up and we walked almost everywhere in the city. I still find myself wanting to walk most days while living out in the suburbs and if I don’t really move that much in a day I am CRANKY! 😏

Isn't thrive market the new middle man? Maybe the drop in price is due to lower over head cost of running the business compared to brick and mortar cost

I don't think I've ever seen a video of you with your hat off. No disprespect, I really enjoy your videos and podcasts. It's a wealth of knowledge. I've been looking at a breakthrough compound called RU58841, which has been considered to be a better alternative to finasteride. It acts locally rather than systemically. Unfortunately, it hasn't been approved by the FDA, but you can still obtain it for research purposes.

Walking is the best exercise as taught by a man too many years back to state. I don’t think it started with cave people. We have a history that predates the cave believe it or not.

We are not designed to walk!!!....We are designed to run...we are the pinnacle of running efficiency...(not heel striking, but forefoot)...bipedal design utilising off-centred spring loaded cantilevers..(feet and tendons) combined with double pendulum knee joints..converting gravity and elastic rebound into forward motion.

Valuable information, but the subtle advertising makes me not want to listen. I understand you have to make money to survive, but hawking products on people because advertisers are paying you to do so muddies your message of health and wellness. My suggestion would be to clearly state you are being sponsored to promote a product.
