What pisses me off the most is that the shooter committed suicide after everything. The sign of a true coward.

Ashton Kobarg first of all.. how? Second of all, I was saying that justice was not served. All those people who were injured and all those people who died all because of that shooter, and the shooter just kills himself because not only is he a terrible person.. he is a coward cause he can’t even face up to what he did. So how did I basically just tell a man to kill himself? Hmm?

were are the dream team fuck off. “Sin city”, “where there is sin”, “don’t ask me it’s complicated”, “thank god”.
How pathetic do you have to be to blame the victims of a shooting, for being shot because they were in a place of fun and partying. That’s not a sin, you miscreant.
And why would you “god bless”, as if the idea of a god does anything other than let you cope with the shit you deal with in life,.
Don’t put your delusions on other people or use them as a way of making yourself seem sin free and above the rest.
Go see your god if you believe so much ;)

idk what they were thinking with that. i doubt many ppl were even gonna blame the hotel because how would the hotel know even know. it was a routine guest doing routine things. if they start checking every piece of luggage, that'll just kill their business and they might even run into lawsuits. the only thing they could've practically done is outfit all their windows with bulletproof glass, and have a sensor that notifies when that glass gets shot into or breaks, which would give time for police to arrive. but suing the victims?! that's really putting your name in a really bad place

The part that broke my heart and infuriated me the most, was the black man who not only stayed, but he ran BACK IN to help people. He got shot in the neck BECAUSE he stayed to help people. He could’ve ran and saved himself, but he didn’t. He did so much to help other people. And when he ended up getting shot, with a giant hole in his neck, he finally ran out of the venue to get himself some help, and he walked up to a car to ask for help, and they literally rolled their window up and drove away. THAT man was a hero and he deserved so much better that day. I hope he has nothing but success and happiness in this life.

The 1st is the loud BANG of the gunpowder igniting and the 2nd is the CRACK of the bullet breaking the sound barrier, essentially a small sonic boom. The sound of an automatic gun being fired at a distance can easily be mistaken for a string of firecrackers, especially for someone unfamiliar with guns or someone at place like Las Vegas where fireworks are really common.

When I was 14, my dad took me and my sister with him to Las Vegas where he was newly stationed at as a pilot at the time; it was my first time ever visiting, same thing with my sister. We got there late at night, passed by the big local country music fair that was going on, and cruised the strip. Suddenly, about 15 or so minutes later, there was like a whole bunch of police cars coming through the strip. We continue our cruise, head back to our hotel room, and as we are getting there, this lady in our parking garage asks us if we're okay, and tells us that there was a shooting at the fair. We head back to our hotel room and it's all over the news, literally on our first night of being there. 7 years later and it's still absolutely unbelievable to think about the fact that I was about 15 minutes away from being a part of the deadliest mass shooting in US history

There are no words that will bring the victims back to their families. There are no words that can take away the pain of those they left behind. All we can do is live each day to the fullest, hug our own loved ones and friends, and be aware of our own surroundings. After every mass shooting like this we hear the same words. "I never thought it would happen here." And then it repeats over and over again.
For the fifty-eight people who died, they leave behind special memories for their loved ones to cherish forever. Those memories now are all the families have left - along with any home videos and cherished pictures of better times. Times long passed, but times that remain locked in their hearts. May these families and those who were injured find comfort in their families, their friends, and if praying is their way, through their faith as well.
With every one of these mass shooting tragedies, we become more and more immune to the pain. They have become so routine since the Columbine High School tragedy of April 1999, that we say now, "There was another one." Schools, movie theaters, banks, grocery stores, night clubs, places of worship, music festivals, even at 4th of July parades on a summer day. It seems now that nowhere is safe anymore. We cannot stay locked in our homes for the rest of our lives, but we can be more mindful of a way out - if it does happen to us.
Everyone who reads this, please stay safe.

Yea No. I'm not leaving my mom. Are you out of your mind?! I wonder what floats in their mom's mind every now and then when things get tough. Your kids left you in the face of danger. That's so sad. Sad situation - But I would like to believe that my instinct in that situation would be "If my mom stays - I stay"

I'm glad he didn't, but I can't imagine why he didn't keep shooting. He spent all that time and money getting these weapons and had everything laid out and ready to go. He had the upper hand. Why did he stop? Did he have a moment where he realized what he had done? Or was he simply satisfied with what he did and called it quits? Nothing about this shooting makes sense to me. I'm not suggesting anything, just saying this is all extremely strange.
