I don’t understand why some people still downplay his talent. First, it was “he’s not playing in the NBA yet”. Then it was “it’s just Summer League” and now “it’s just preseason”. It’s time to realize it’s not gonna matter who is on the court against him. He’s gonna find a way to make an impact on every game he’s in. He’s almost unguardable.

Wemby at 7'4 has started becoming a nightmare on any team right now (Eric Spoelstra counts as#1 on this belief). Warrior has a great night on that game but it was dwarfed by this kid as he's just 19, imagine only at 19! Oh my, what more if he'll become adept at the rotation as there are still more rooms for improvements.

Victor Wembanyama could very well be the first Rookie to be the MVP of the league and Rookie of the year. He is being called the Alien 👽 because he can do multiple things that no other human can do. He will have a better rookie season than both Lebron James and Michael Jordan, putting up nearly identical numbers or better as they did their first year.. yet adding 3 or 4 blocks a game and 10 rebounds a game to those 20 + points and 6 to 8 assists per game. He will undoubtedly average a double double for sure with his rebounds.. and finish many triple doubles his first year.
Not only all of that, but he will increase his teams win percentage dramatically, and that is going to be a huge weighing factor for him. None of the other All Stars like Jokic, Giannis, Lebron, Durant, or Curry will be able to do this. The fact that he is so humble and wise makes him a very likable dude and fan favorite for lots of votes! Big Vic for MVP, or at least Defensive Player of the Year.

@@HOOPMASTERY besides the talent and physical phenomena of being a skilled 7'4" hooper, he has the key elements of being a " face of a franchise or league" guy in key ways.
He has the right elements of a good foundational network, in family, friends and mentors. Next are coaches and business managers that know how to maximize his overall talents and, essentially, marketability.
Superficially, he speaks two languages fluently and is a good looking young man. His interviews reveal a thoughtful, intelligent young man with superior communication skills. Facial expressions convince genuine likeability and relatability.
Substantively, he simply passes the first impression eye test of "is he a likeable and trustworthy guy" with flying colors. This is critical for marketability.
Bring on the shoe deals, TV broadcast licensing, jerseys and league pass subscriptions, and everything else, on an overall global scale.
All he has to do is stay healthy and put the ball in the hole, which from the looks of it, he can.

So I think he is used to physical games and has developed endurance for those, unless he is injured, he can take a beating.

Dude is already messin with all stars on the court. I think we're watching the best basketball player that's ever lived a short of Wilt Chamberlain... but then again Wilt Chamberlain never had handles or could drill a three. He's the best already...

crazy , you think Wemby too far out to block your shot like “ I got this “ you shoot and Wemby jumps and blocks , its scary that something you been doing for along period of time with no problem someone finally is able to stop your shot now ,you need to be extra fast 💨 or else 😳 . plans have to be changed ..

He is starting his career fully upgraded.
Seriously though, as long as he can avoid injury, stay healthy and has strong work ethic and discipline, he will become the next NBA Monster.

Hopefully he grows and moves the NBA in a sports central event rather some spokesmen for the media. Perhaps he’ll be a breath of fresh air. Since LeBron it’s been a soap opera, too tiring to even bother watching. I’m now only interested due to the French Phenom.

Stating that he does anything with barely any effort is fan boyish. Everything he does is due to him exerting effort. He makes it appear easy because it's due to his length but don't get it confused it takes much effort for someone that height to move that quickly.😎

Wemby is INSANE but I really worry about his knees. If it weren't for the possibility of injury I would already have him down as EASY rookie of the year.
