Years ago, well twenty-two years ago I had the pleasure of flying a little PA28 from Daytona to Sanford, short hop, but what was cool for me was following the 747 down the approach that I would be going home to England on later that day, keeping the speed up, pinning the 747 on the nose, staying higher than him and looking for the smoke that marked his touchdown point and then watching his wings level and picking my landing point after that, with an MD82 following me
Congrats on your commercial! Working on mine now. Checkride in 2 weeks. Any chance you'll do a commercial checkride debrief? I live in Charlotte and have never landed at CLT. I didn't know they had a reputation as being GA friendly. I had a pilots n paws mission that they wanted me to take out of Wilson air. But I directed them to KJQF instead. I'm curious if you called up tracon before going in to see what a good time to come in was? That's something I've heard a lot of people do. Or did you just file a flight plan and go?

Thanks! I did my instrument and commercial in the Mooney. It’s a complex airplane and it’s quick so it’s certainly more challenging than doing it in a 172 but so worth it. I’ve taken it to Chicago with the family a few times and flown it across the entire country from Seattle to Charleston. Great XC machine.

Love it man. Nicely done. I took the family to KLAS a few months ago in a C172. KCLT is probably even busier than KLAS. Fun flight for sure.

I would request to extend that distance from the AB more .....that wake can flip you over and trash your plane and your hot self!
I thought about it but I had my eyes on it the whole time. Was fairly easy to stay clear of his wake.
The stock Bose audio is trash. Video is good, but the audio is trash! Is that a Mooney with standard Bose?
