honestly any silicon mac would be enough to get you through your degree, but I would highly recommend upgrading the RAM to 16gb. You may not need it in your first year, but as your projects may get more demanding over time, the extra RAM will def make a difference. Personally, I think a macbook air with 16gb ram and 512gb ssd would be plenty enough for the average CS student. You could also go for the mbp, but I would personally put that extra cash to get the 15" mba instead of mbp. Hope this helps :)

you gotta start with a plan. figure out when you wanna do practice exams, when you wanna be done reviewing X, when you wanna be done solving Y problems, etc. & put everything down in a calendar. Then, you don't have to think about what you have to do for the day, you just do it!
Im an individual who is really far behind on mathematics and im 16 years old rn, got realy left behind because of the pandemics and stuff sooo… Is it too late for me to catch up? I also have problems in physics due to my weakness in math.
