@@kvnnsi1 I’ll listen to that when we stop consistently winning all these games by close to 30.. idk if youve watched the games but it’s pretty simple. Derrick white and jaylen brown have clearly had really hot hands when it comes to scoring so Tatum has been taking the backseat to them to not get in the way of winning basketball. Again idk if you watch the Celtics but If you watched you’d clearly be able to see it just in the way he’s moving around the court. Doesn’t make sense for him to force up shots to get out of his slump when we’re dominating every game

@@kvnnsi1 bro why would he demand the ball to selfishly score 30 a game when D White and brown are on fire? It’s like we don’t like playmaking anymore lmao someone was gonna have to sacrifice on this very talented roster and at this moment it’s Tatum but it’s gonna change

Dumb argument.... Tatum is still shooting the ball a lot. He's just missing. Look at his shooting percentages. And brous point is when yall actually play some damn competition, if he's shooting like this, then you're gonna lose period!

@@dylanfuhs185 nobody would care if he was shooting 45% from the field and 38% from three, but if you guys are blowing people out it almost looks like it’s in spite of him there’s no reason his efficiency shouldn’t be better

Love how SGA skipped over Tatum, when he clearly took a backseat for better team chemistry… he’s never been top 10 in freethrows… dude avg’ 30 points last year and has 40-50-60 point playoff games under his belt… Tatum will be fine, Celtics will be fine.

Tatum being the Celtics best rebounder, defender and playmaker but shooting poorly is an “unsurprising bad game” but Luka (who shot worse than Tatum in round 1) plays like trash and they’re shocked

I hope Tatum brings the scoring up, I think once times get tough he’ll pop back at the fore front. I never would’ve thought Tatum could be the third leading scorer and they’d be doing just fine, on top of his abysmal shooting splits rn

My problem with these Tatum takes is that this post season is being treated like the norm instead of an outlier so far. Tatum is shooting playoff career lows from the field and three through 6 games this year. In 20 games last year he averaged 27/10.5/5 on 46/32/88. Also when it comes to success at a young age people forget Tatum averaged 25/10/5 through 17 games T 21 years old in 2019-20; 30/6/5 at 22 against the KD/Kyrie/Harden Nets healthy in 2020-21; 25/7/6 in 24 games at 23 shooting 43/39/80 >, 2021-22. Tatum has done just as much as this current batch of youth in this short sample size of theirs (outside of Lukas numbers) and had for more team success to go with it. Did Tatum have a bad 2022 finals, sure, and did he struggle against the heat last year, sure. But these other "young" guys haven't even gotta to those places to potentially struggle or succeed. Ant has what, 2 playoff series wins? Brunson has 1? Luka has been to a WCF. None of them touch the success Tatum has and he has basically been the Celtics best player since the playoffs of his rookie year.

Nick you keep thinking that numbers make you win you are wrong again someone can have a bad shooting night but play great defense this is why Michael Jordan is the greatest player ever because if he's having a poor shooting night he sure is going to play great defense to win and still get thirty points even if it means getting to the free throw line this is why LeBron James has lost six times in the finals because he cares about his stats and doesn't play defense to shut you down period

8:40 exactly what i hate for NBA and I'm losing interest in this scripted and subjective sport. the term "marginal contact" is just the back door left open for refs and the league manipulate games. so if the league want to promote any team, or to kill any team, the refs always allow one team defend with more "marginal contact" and limited the other team. AKA double standard, so even in the last 2 min report, everything is called "correctly"
