You are the first boater that progressive' did not totally screw over !!!! Luckily you bought their towing coverage. I own a marine repair facility here in PHX, A.Z. for 34 years and have been in the industry longer than they have and I have watched them screw every boater over that they could .
Thanks for thus awesome video. We r going to look into this. The only thing I see though is that they don't tow you home. They just tow you to the nearest dock.
Great insight. Had no idea. Question on towing a jet boat. Did they exceed 5mph? I understand that’s the limit being towed with a non running jet boat engine.
Hi Captain Leon, I also have a Yamaha Jetboat and am curious to know if you had to do anything to the engines prior to being towed. I thought I remember reading that if you didn’t close a valve or clamp a hose the engines would fill with water upon being towed. Thank you so much for your help!
David, the manual states that towing speed must be kept at 5 mph or below for the reasons you mention. It's hard to get these tow guys to not go faster, they want to get you in and move to the next job. I did clamp off the intake line as a measure of extra protection. My Winterization video covers clamping this hose if you're not familiar with its location. It's in the first 10 minutes: ua-cam.com/video/n5XsbIGUKEo/v-deo.html
Hello question i see you have no deductible because you Haven't filed a claim my question is? Did you get a deductible after you? Did the sign and glide?

I will consider myself lucky then, but you're making me nervous should I need to file a damage claim.
Man Im studying Property & Casualty- Your video showed more info than most the Paid services! Great vid
Thanks JT, appreciate that. Thank for watching too!
Good thing I made that app recommendation on May 7th, prior to your fateful excursion! 😎
Perfect timing!
Ken to the rescue!
Genius idea using Progressive for that! I have Travelers on my boat and now I have to look into if they have something similar!
This is a great tip. Seatow costs $200/y this insures you and takes of the tow for $120/y. Thanks for this Capt!
No problem, hope it helps! Thanks for watching.

Yeah they started to tow me too fast, I had to tell him to slow down. Just in case I clamped off the intake line near the engine. Thanks for watching.
I agree progressive is awesome
Thanks, I've had the Progressive App and also been a policy holder with them for a long time. Did not know about the separate Sign & GLide app. Thanks
I hear ya Doug, thanks for watching!
All good! Hope it helps and thanks for watching.

Great question, I just checked. Still zero deductible and my premium actually went down! Thanks.
What was the issue with the boat? I have the same year boat just the AR model.
Battery went dead without warning, here is the video covering it: ua-cam.com/video/0NEufTp4DQo/v-deo.html
