Just found your channel and I have to say you are one of the most insightful film content creators I’ve seen. Can’t wait to see what you do next.
Thank you man! Appreciate it - next video will be on It Follows - great watch
You're smart as a whip.
Underrated !
Thank you for the AWESOMEST explanation!
Thank you!!
As soon as you said you can watch this movie, Swallow on mute and follow and understand it. I paused your review and analysis and watched the trailer on mute. Even just for the one or two minute trailer I understood the dynamics of the relationships and character action and choices via the color. This was a really good review/analysis/talk. Thank you.
Ah thank you - appreciate it! Yeah, I just went back and did the same with the trailer and, if you pay attention to the colors, it totally works there as well. Thanks for the kind words! Next video will be on Titane - stay tuned ☺️
Excellent analysis of a complex but beautiful film…
Keep on sending these out!
Greetings from Philadelphia!!!
glad to have u back!
Glad to be back!! Next video will be on It Follows ☺️
I’ve waited for so long for this❤️❤️
Such a beautiful movie, I'm glad to revisit it through your essay, great job explaining how the colors are not just there for aesthetic but play a significant role in the storytelling. And very glad to see I discovered your channel just when you're coming back from hiatus; It Follows is excellent and i'm looking forward your take on it
Thank you very much! Happy to have you along for the ride ☺️
I have binge watched your entire channel and am so excited to have found it when you are returning from a period of not posting! Your videos are extremely insightful and I have enjoyed every video.
Looking forward to more of your content soon :)
Thank you so much Leilani!! Really appreciate it. Currently editing the next one but it usually takes some time, hope to release it soon ☺️
@@TakeTwoReviews haha no pressure at all! Totally understandable, excited regardless :)
@@leilanifuentes8491 Thank you! New video on It Follows just went up :)
Incredible video on an extremely underrated gem! I was so lucky to see this in a theater, the sound design and color was astounding! 👏🏼
Thank you very much!! Definitely an underrated movie, glad you feel the same (and got lucky enough to see it in theatres!)
I love your videos! You are very talented 🤩
Thank you 🥰
Did the old version of this essay have an introduction about Mark Rothko paintings? I'm pretty sure it was your video that did this. It made me realise the emotional complexity in Rothko's painting, so when you showed them after explaining the feelings behind them, I genuinely cried a little., and it set the tone wonderfully for the rest of the video. It was actually the vid that introduced me to your channel! Is it still available as unlisted or anything? (Of course I might be mistaken, apologies if so!)
Hey! Hah - you've been here a while then - yes that was also me. I took a long break from UA-cam so I decided, to get back into the swing of things, I would re-do one of my super early videos, before starting fresh ones. I unlisted the old one but it's still around, here's the direct link :) ua-cam.com/video/sQm8i3iE1IY/v-deo.html
You made my day bringing up how you liked that one, my older videos felt a little rough to me since my editing has gotten much better - happy to hear they were still appreciated :)
Thanks again!
