Very cool - I in my younger years did something terrible. I took apart an old spring reverb unit. And have long since lost the case and supporting electronics. But I still have the physical spring. But alas, one of the coils was over driven during the experimenting and it now sits in a box waiting for a purpose. This video gives me an idea to try and maybe revive the spring and give it new life as a synth module...
Reverb springs are still available brand new in many sizes. They are practically the same as 40 years ago. And they are not very expensive. Some have rca input(s), and you need only a line or headphone level signal and a small preamp (mic input on the mixer) for the reverb output. You won't get a reverb cheaper than with such a spring tank, and it has a very distinct sound. Playing with the springs themselves is very explorative and fun.
I watched my dvd of that movie and ran the audio thru my mc707 while drinking a few days ago after gf went to bed lol.. it was surprisingly easy to get vibes to match up..
@@markbucher50love that idea! I find it so interesting that you also make music/drink beer after the GF turns in for the night. I say this as some of my pals and I who make music do the same thing. Wonder how many more of us are out there?
Loving this, Ive been riding feedback for a while now, so Ive a good array of dirt pedals, only just getting into the obvious choice of eq pedals. Game changing. I'll have to try this with my Polaris, EQ and boost pedal, and my piezo noise box.
@niggy1kanobi1 sounds great, I hope it goes better for them than the parametric mid on the Met Zone, never was a control set more misunderstood. Most Metal pedals are bought by men, most men don't read the manual. Most guitarists don't know how to use a channel strip on a mixer. We just weren't ready for it lol.
mine has three springs and 8 motors , three built in delays and 4 speakers . the motors can run momentarily , and vibrate the springs , some of the motors are positioned very near the transducers , all of the motors have pwm speed control , and there is a master solenoid which strikes two of the springs .
This has so many sonic possibilities and I can think of numerous effects I have in both hardware and iOS app form that I would love to experiment with 😊
It's that long since I've forgot whether I put myself on the waiting list for one of these. I used to have a modified Ekdahl Moisturiser with spring feedback and regret selling it to fund a guitar amp at the time. It was only at one, but albeit a great low pitch.
Hi!! Finally found you again...Years ago I put my email on a waiting list nut never heard back from you... Can I buy this beautiful instrument? Best regards
i'm in the waiting list since probably 7 years, i was convinced that this project was closed or on a dead end point...but now find this video.. is still in the process? is possible to have it one day?
What is the device called? hi pretty cool video what is the device called? Where can you buy it? How much is it? Tell us a little bit about it who makes it
Website. Waitlist. Howwwwevvvaarrrrrrr: "Please note there has been a lot of interest, estimated wait time for new costumers is over 5 years." 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Forgive me for being dumb but cant the same effect be produced with a handfull of mics, an amp, a loudspeaker and a graphic equaliser. I know that's a lit more kit than can be seen here but from the comments, this sounds like the stuff that everyone has, whereas this bit of kit lokks quite specialised.
Skip the multiband EQ, get a cheap mackie mixer or similar and you've got everything you need to manipulate your feedback loop right there. @@PrinceCobra1
Find springs of all lengths and diameters for 5 euros in a DIY store, tinker with two good contact microphones for 3 euros, buy a used equalization pedal, possibly some distortion, you won't even get it for 50 euros instead to buy this 250$ bullshit for experimental bobo
Okay there Mr. Eno. Enough of this already. Learn to play an instrument, it would be a better use of your time. Believe it or not this dumb thing cost 400.00 dollars u.s.
it's a nice looking unit... but... uhhhhhhhh. So some sort of spring reverb with an EQ built in?? Then you throw it through reverb? It's semi-interesting. Not sure how much weed you need to play with this for more than 20 minutes or so.
Sounds like tinnitus
I once dosed 0.7 extasis and played so loud for about 4 hours the week before I had tinitus and its actually sounds the same, I want it tho
It can be a bit like ambient sometimes but it can get loud, and worse as you age. look after yourself@@angelens
What?!
I assure tou i have it and yes it does but i find deliberate white noise and doomy drone helps cancel it out.
Haha
I was playing this instrument in a dream over 30 yrs ago . I still have drawings of it in storage. Thanks for posting
Damn, you must be the guy that gave me a hearing test after my military service.

sounds like a great idea, too bad for the lost parts. just a project lost in time

Sounds like the spring reverb feedback that my old peavey amp does.
It is the spring reverb feedback
I have second that. That's exactly what this is, minus the amp.
This reminds me of the soundscape for The Forbidden Planet movie!. Excellent!.
Excellent reference. Such a cool film

A landmark in cinema
Pssst, +1
this tickles my eyes in a strange way. makes me blink suddenly.
Been on the list for a few years, I kind of want 2 now for stereo field explorations 😂
Hell yeah!
“The following tone is a reference tone set at our operating level”
I love playing with feedback and white noise......amazing what can be produced with a pedal
This is what it sounds like to live in Philadelphia.
This would be so great for horror soundtracks

We just weren't ready for it lol.
I’ve been on the waiting list since day one. Good luck!
This is an awesome little noise/ambient sound maker!
I’ve been wanting to get this for two years. There’s a five year waiting list. So sad. Nice work, love it.
It's just a spring reverb with an EQ. Easy to do yourself
its like the pork belly place with 10 years waiting list...just do frenchise man
@@ДмитрийКовригин-э6ф indeed, just run a send out from a mixer to a practice amp spring reverb and feed it back through a channel strip. Done.

What you talking about bro? Where can I buy ?
Oum is the sound of trips. You know your in deep when this pulses through you
That's one heck of a dream machine there. So cool!
rich tones, engaging exploration into what's possible with them 👏
Instant movie soundtrack! I love this. Don’t tell anybody else about it.
That's a perfect instrument of torture 😵💫

really interesting upload...........so nuanced and well balanced................
What a lovely device!! Thanks for pushing my GAS :-) Seriously: Thanks for sharing!

Sounds like...Twin Peaks Season 4 confirmed :)
neunaber immerse is such a good pedal
This is one of the most interesting thing I've seen on yt..and I've seen a lot!
More EQ pedals!
Subscribed for more! 👍
I'm going to get this. Will work wonders for tinnitus.🙄 .
ahahahahahaahahahaahahahahaahahahahaha That's funny dude.
I shoudn't have smoked tonight.
Awesome solo dude🤣🙈.
what a tease ! i've got to be coming up on nearly 5 years now
I've been on the wait list since June 2020 when it said a 3 year wait. Surely I must be nearing the top now
@@Bridge_Studios yeah i was lying I should be at least 3 years though
@@uriitardedWell no kidding, I just signed up for the waiting list and it does say "5 years wait time expected" 😭
do you know anything more , analog? digital? :0
Reminds me of the old 50s movie Forbidden Planet, Very Cool.
The synth table is full. Damn I need one of these.
I could get lost for hours with this. Would love to hear what it sounds like though a heavy delay!
Sounds great 👍
Sounds like i left my guitar plugged in and the amp on
Horror Thriller Mystery BGM
👍
That’s pretty interesting
So basically a spring reverb synth machine thing? Neat? I could actually find use for something like this after I knock off a few other items.
Hi!! Finally found you again...Years ago I put my email on a waiting list nut never heard back from you... Can I buy this beautiful instrument? Best regards
i also signed up on that waiting list...never heard back. i want one so much.
Hahah! Sure fire making of an unobtanium Situation...
Same here I REALLY want one and am willing to pay for it! 😂🤣
Maybe we'll get lucky.
i'm in the waiting list since probably 7 years, i was convinced that this project was closed or on a dead end point...but now find this video.. is still in the process? is possible to have it one day?
That’s right ! It’s a Nerve hair trimmer for your cochlea’s 😂
I gotta go that thing is starting to drive me nutz
You might be able to drive of all kinds of insects with that. LoL
It's mini Blaster Beam!!!
gorgeous! i had to send a message, i would love to see what this would do with other gear, so gorgeous
5 year wait :,( dangit!!!
Когда мне было 12 лет я баловался с перегрузкой микрофона. звуки были точно такие
😊❤
Tinnitus machine. I like!

I can imagine this with a Strymon Nightsky pedal… 😮
Anybody know the lyrics to this song?
From what I've read in the comments.
Maybe they should sell it as kits.. or just give a parts list.
ridiculous.
So relaxing.
Very fascinating …
Looks like it’d sound better than it does in this video… 🤔
I like how this pulls you in and demands you to listen.
sounds like a guitar aplifier with tank reveerb ran through an EQ and into the speaker cabnet
Amazing. Loved that performance - nice one!!
What is the device called? hi pretty cool video what is the device called? Where can you buy it? How much is it? Tell us a little bit about it who makes it
The ultimate time wasting machine!
i need one of these
This is great. How do I get one ? I could use it for the music I'm trying to make

Is immerse creating the resonant tones or is it coming from Fjaerlett ?

Yes it can. But why waste money instead? A fool and his money are soon parted.
@@j.jester7821 well, yes, absolutely. It just seemed that, from all the other comments, the people here would already have those things
Needs an electronic solenoid mute system with envelope control
Lol synth noodlers are just starting to learn about spring reverb.
Anyone remember the knas ekdahl moisturiser that thing was awesome
Kult
Maybe could change tone on spring and then some delay or pitch shift pedal. Sounds like same note just octaves,.
Any info on which month from the waiting list is being processed now,? Are June 2020 entries coming up soon?
Wow I could do that with a microphone and a speaker... How much?
❤
So... the 2nd knob and switch don't do anything?
I want this as a eurorack module!!
😂
Good luck finding one. They seem to be on permanent waitlist.
Just buy a spring reverb and a multi band eq, then patch it in a feedback loop

fuqqin cool.
I still want one. Are they still being made? I have been on the list since the first one came out
Good to hear! I still make them:)
@@gardosen2889 Fantastic! Sounds like they are in high demand.
Play this over a military loudspeaker at night for the lolz
I should make one. Looks hella-basic. Need to equip it with a striker. Smacking it with your hand is lame.
So…. This is a cross between a spring reverb and eq?
Why?
dig!
fjart let?

5 year waiting list !! WTF !!! maybe hire some people if the demand is that high !! totally ridiculous like analog man pedal !!!
