Clearly the work of ancient aliens. This is technology that modern man (of the distant future) can't explain or reproduce, with our advanced steam power. We also have found large aluminum bird-shaped tombs marked "United" at the LAX temple archeology site.
Man your stuff is unreal. It really kinda looks like in a old science cartoon, the style, the professor.. but you are doing this for real! and how it sounds, i am fascinated!
@skyscrapersx5877 jokes aside, it's also the work, the tools needed to perform the work, the work needed to learn how to perform said work. Sure, he would probably sell it for less than a mansion, but whatever the price is, I will not afford it. That's my guess at least.
With so much available now, lots of SOC devices, open source software and hardware as well as PCB design software, I expect we will see a huge increase in this market. Personally designed and built equipment will always have a rich and fantastic character.
It's quite incredible actually. You don't have to have deep knowledge in coding, or know how to best etch copper, just an idea and some ambition. Fusion 360 for all your prototyping and 3d printing needs, Easyeda for the PCBs (you can actually order your boards ready to go with the components already soldered) and Arduino + ChatGPT or similar for the coding. Today, anyone with a vision and some stubbornness can make the idea become real, very quickly. It's really the dream of yesterday's artists.
Beautiful as always. I would love to see more shots highlighting the more of the details and defining traits of these builds. Maybe shots of the red wave screen, or close ups of you turning some of the knobs as you play. Specifically with interactive projects like this that react to sound, seeing that up close would be pretty cool.
What a beautiful and fantastic instrument! Music is a universal language and this is proof of that… Thank you for the great content, keep up the good work 😊
Of course it's great. The guy was probably fed up with the nonsensical keyboards companies offer at nonsensical prices and decided to build his own dream machine.. Congrats!
we all know in what kind of hospitals those types of guy go right ? What a fantastick set up, bravo ! i have an old 1957 hammond m100 (working great, a couple fatars could be niiiice to play it) i'm thinking of hot roding : synthbass, programable drum machines, and portable as possible, oh, and foldbacks of course... i'm crazy about those "hot rot cookpit" projects... thjis one is great, i bet if playing out, everybody gathers around....
Very impressive! Are you actually incorporating any parts from a Mellotron? I know the original had individual tapes with samples for each key, it looks like yours is more like a synthesizer, right? EDIT: I just learned about their new digital mini Mellotron, which works very differently and was probably the one used here
The fact that it looks a space console from a 1970s sci-fi show is a major win!
People are going to dig these instruments up in a few thousand years and it'll be a truly marvelous and mysterious find.
Indeed, they will be in their loin cloths, going "Ooga booga what is dis loot?"
or maybe hopefully theyll be in every home
Or it could be the algorithm, and it will be in their recommendations.
It will be gone by than

How can he be so perfect in music, technic, design, fashion, time, art and all at once?

its just shit you can buy
Never considered what a modded mellotron might be like. Quite a lovely set of modifications. Leto is a thing of beauty
its not modified.. its just modules added
It’s always a blast identifying what instruments are under the hood, and how they’re connected. Beautiful.
1:10 I went to outer space and travelled back in time to the 70’s with this one.
1974 - Mutantes - Desanuviar
Yes. Me too!
I love the sound, and that little tape drive on the front whirring away is so cute!
thats a crazy combination. nymphes plus pro-800 is genius on its own, but this is nuts
If I were a billionaire, I'd get this before getting a mansion, for sure! A masterpiece!!
X2 sin dudarlo
omg bro its like $2000 of parts just go get it - it says in the description its the mellotron mini, you can get one for like $800 lmao
@@jennjennjenn61992 Nope, I'm not a billionaire.

3:24 is crazy to sound identical to an electric guitar.

Brilliant, thank you! I loved my old Mellotron, choir/flutes/organ. I died many years ago 1987.
So, if you died many years ago, how did you comment on this one?
I am really scared right now
Correct "I" to "mine" right now or else I'm going to call an exorcist.
I'd pay just to hear an entire album made with this, I'm in love
This is a very mellow tron.
i have never felt compelled to get a eurorack.
i now feel compelled to get a eurorack.
that is all.
(seriously, amazing!)
Really nice work. I love how you made the face plates match to look like one cohesive piece of gear
Beautiful sound and stunning looks. Love at first sight

amazing. this is one of the best so far. it looks to be for daily use as well as a piece of art.
Your instruments will probably go down in history at some time and they will be making documentaries about you 40+ years from now.
What a beautiful sounding, cleverly integrated and visually stunning system. 👏👏👏

Art and Music combined
what a superb example of craftmanship!
The evolution of electronic music is so fascinating. The retro charm is undeniable. Are there any vacuum tubes inside the mellotron?
Of course it's great. The guy was probably fed up with the nonsensical keyboards companies offer at nonsensical prices and decided to build his own dream machine.. Congrats!
So its a Behringer pro 800 under the hood with a T-rex module..?
Love the concept of putting a bunch of things ro act as one.

lovely melody around three fifty , sounds like lana del rey. very cool instrument too, nice job ! Suscribed !
Thank you for what you do !
Dude, this thing you've built is totally rad!
Let’s go!!!
A fellow PRO-800 user.
Sick jam ❤
Bloody hell. This is awesome. I don't know how i got here but i just subscribed!
When you can't decide whether you're a Mellotron or a Synthesizer.
I want one. That one sounded great like a space aged spaghetti western. M
The magic melotron.
Only thing missing is a laboratory window with Barbarella stretched out behind it in a miniskirt with high collar.
Legendary
Incredible. Would you ever sell a sample pack? I can't believe how warm it sounds
Looks retro! Sounds very nice!
Design AND Sound top!
Very cool seutp. Very inspiring and hands on.

Jet Puffed

That was truly amazing

I would think it has to be, but uses a continuous tape loop for old school effects natural to the mellotron.
It is Magic.
Gorgeous
Shocked ❤
best ambience is always on modular
mega dope...hares 10k
One has to know how to play... Otherwise I'd love to have this.
Sounds great!
Extremely Narsty, Matey ~ ☘️
Only in Sweden do you get this craftsmanship
0:55 engage the Druken Mellotron knob
It's a Cham Cham.
❤

I want this very much.
Wait making a big custom panel for the whole rack is crazy, do you have any documentation about your process?

Fun!
2:23 mass effect music

What’s an estimated price for this build? Amazing work.

Que lo diferencia a un sintetizador?
Subscribed at moment zero 😂
Solar. Saturn. Clint Eastwood.
How much? And where do I buy it?
How can I buy one of these guys ???

Mellotron or Trautonium ?
