- Losing Sanity Over The Easiest Souls Platinum! In this video, I went for the platinum trophy on the first ever soulsborne game: Demon's Souls! This was the first FromSoftware souls game that kicked off the series and eventually led to the iconic Dark Souls trilogy which I will be getting the platinum trophy for as well! I want to get the platinum trophy on every souls game ever, so far I've done Bloodborne, Elden Ring, Sekiro, and now Demon's Souls!

You don’t even really need it to, I beat it almost hitless without it. But yeah it helps with his moves. I just stick to under his legs lol

Yeah, even without the ring I was surprised to see him struggle against Old Hero considering how he was good enough to get the intro Vanguard demon down to close to half health on his first try. I thought Old Hero was easy when I played the original version even without the thief ring, but I don't remember doing so little damage as he's doing. Is it because it's the remake?
Reminder that thief ring makes King Allant fight a joke. This is a really useful item.
A reason why nick is great: He would plat any insanely difficult game. No matter if its a 10/10 he is so dedicated and i absolutely like it. He would spend months trying to plat a game! Keep it up!

For some reason I thought Cuphead would be a good start, and even though I went through a lot to get it, I eventually did! In Demon's Souls, game knowledge is extremely precious. Knowing that some Bosses are weak to fire makes them trivial once you get firestorm. I was one-shooting Old hero in NG++ with the firestorm. Just walk into him and unleash hell.

The old hero is one of the easier bosses as long as you wear the thief’s ring
It's the same with the man eaters, one of them just go away when you have that ring equipped.

You can do him naked too, when you are under 50% equipment weight your footsteps don't make noisy sounds anymore

The original Platinum Trophy for Demon Souls for PS3 was much more time-consuming than the PS5 version. In reality, the PS5 platinum version is MUCH easier.

@@nick_arwhy on earth would you say "lucky me"? Demon Souls, DS, and the rest of the games in the franchise are ment to be games of difficulty, to learn from mistakes and triumph after finally accomplishing what you pushed for. The first Demon Souls (ps3) itself compared to all the others (not the remake) was in general concerned by most much easier.
For Hidetaka Miyazaki and the other workers and designers Demon Souls was the basis to create, evolve and improve the rest of the following game, in which they obviously changed in multiple ways but one major aspect was increasing difficulty to a slight extent.
There was a major difference between further games in the series and it was the fact of updates that corrected issues for glitches. In Demon Souls (ps3) there was a glitch to dup items (even boss souls) which to this day has never been fixed. However to get a platinum (unlike in the remake) the trophies changed completely and you aren't needed to grind and collect all the best weapons by literally grinding all the stones.
Back to mentioning the "glitch" is another one that was never delt with was to obtain "Master Slashers Trophy". You needed a Pure Bladestone to eventually craft a weapon with that, but finding it was a problem.
The game (especially being the 1st in the series) left people running through and naturally doing what they thought was correct. "Luck" would increase item chance, little did people know that even after a little bost into "luck" glitched the chance to find Pure Bladestones. And those could only be found in either Pure White ore Pure Black tendency.
Without having original stats of luck, your chance to get a Pure Bladestone dropped from 1/200 to far lower depending on how high your luck was. There was also only 2 spots to grind, 1 skeleton in 4-2 in the hidden wall and 1 other in 4-3. Most people shooting for platinum had a better chance to simply create a new playthrough and run a quick offline PBWT and do runs with the black samurai in 4-2 which would take average 40m.
Normal Demon Souls game of PS3 for platinum would take around 60+ hours even with the glitched Souls with constant grinding knowing what to do. With the PS5 its around 50+ with far less grinding for trophies.
"Luck" itself... that can be a yes and/or no. Personally I prefer the graphics of the remake being FAR clearer 100%, buy the remake made them a bit to "bright" for my taste in what the type of game was before, the controls feel perfect if not better (though that's the system). When it comes to the difficulty in basic combat in game, I feel it being easier. True I've played and beet every other one of Hidetaka Miyazakis games, and it's a remake, but the challenge compared to the others aren't there even with the fun replay exp. Trophies (not counting the annoying glitched Pure Bladestone issue) I found them SO much easier to get because farming took time and caution in the previous.
So yes, the platinum trophy for the original Demon Souls is indeed more challenging simply due to the different trophies required to get, you can compare them.

@@jahime I did but i completed unnecessary chalices (FRC) because i thought the queen of yharnam was at the end of an FRC chalice. also after i got the endings i didnt know about upper cathedral ward so i tried to get it in ng+ but it was hard to get up to that point so i just made a new character for it and that altogether made me get the plat in around 80 hours
I agree, I still have yet to platinum Demon's Souls yet I've gotten all achievements in Elden Ring on two platforms.

You’re improving at every one you play, it’s cool. A tip I have for you, I’ve platted every Souls game (and most souls likes), a good idea is to boost your main damage stats WITH your health stat and aim for the soft caps. If you’re not opposed to spoilers it’s also best to find a weapon you like and make an entire build around it, good luck with the next ones!

Hey Nick! did you know that you could have used the thiefs ring in the old hero fight so that it will be harder for him to hear you because he is blind. if you dont use the thieves ring then the strategy is that you sneak up behind him, get hits in until he stands up and roars. then you back up and rinse and repeat. this fight is much easier this way but you just fought him one on one. wow bro respect! Btw i love all your videos keep up the great work!

Yep... so I decided to start this game after already beating dark souls 1 2 and 3 a few times each. I'd just like to say YES losing your souls blows really bad... But the good thing that will always try to tell myself and let others know, once they're gone and lost you don't have to worry about it anymore all that stress is off your shoulders. All that constant stress and anxiety worrying about your souls being lost has been lifted.

Well done man, well done. It may not be as hard as some other From Soft games, although this is highly subjective, it still has a few things that are kinda tough to handle like the Flamelurker or the double Gargoyles.
