Holy crap ... i just recently started dabbling in PBX systems with Asterisk and I had no idea you had videos about it. I've been following your channel the whole time because of the macbook repairs lol

Did i miss something, will Louis show us how he configured the switch?
I am assuming he connected the two phones to a switch connected to the pbx right? i was really hoping he would show us how to set up the vlan for voice and or data

How did you set up freepbx? Is it running as Virtual machine or physically on hardware? I want to setup pbx for my home lab, I don't want to spent money on buying pbx appliance.

Please help, I have the Cisco IP CP-7821 phone and it has a web interface but no admin section to login to configure the settings like you did with your phone's web interface. What can I do to go about this?

I had bought these phones on ebay, not directly from cisco. they probably would give me any support

I just looked on their website, they want you to buy support from them for assistance

Fantastic. I needed a few tips to setup a home Asterisk install for hobby with a couple Cisco 504g's, and your video filled in all the blanks for me. Keep up the good work.

You could either pay a few hundred dollars to have a professional setup each one of these phones, or watch this guy's video. He's great.

Thank you for your videos. It really helped me to understand what is VOIP. However, we're a startup business of 2 and our nature of business require us to drive from one place to another and most of the time nobody is in the office. Hence, I was wondering if it is possible to set up a BPX without buying an IP phone so when a customer calls my DID it would forward the calls to my personal handphone instead? Many thanks!

Oh, you help me a lot. I think it will work in Issabel and cisco. Thank you very much.

Yes, the PBX doesn't need the phone's IP address -- however . . . There is a motive for having static IP addresses on the phones in a smaller system. It allows provisioning or re-provisioning the phone using that IP address and logging into it as an admin. In a large system, that likely isn't practical, and bulk provisioning using a tool for it is much more likely. I have several blocks of static IP addresses on my LAN with the DHCP set up to hand out IP addresses outside of those blocks. The phones are the only devices for which it's convenient to be able to access them with a static IP.

Why not using the endpoint manager for setting up the extensions, much easier
