Translator is interesting, I'll give it a listen ! I have two Japan LP's only.. I want more ! I agree with your keepers and what you're getting rid of.. Goonies soundtrack is a keeper !
Hi. Let me know what you think of Translator if you ever give it a listen. I was just told they’re from San Francisco. I think that Japan albums are hard to come by. Great that you have two!
I like Translator a lot. I streamed " Everywhere that I Am Not" and I hope to find their debut that you have sometime soon. I picked up Japan's Gentlmen Take Polaroids in Tokyo on our last trip over there !
Translator was one of those great underappreciated band from the Bay Area -for most known only by the hit" everywhere that I'm not". Glad you showed some love for the deeper cuts! It is a great album through and through. BTW HR Geiger is famously known for being the conceptual artist behind Ridley Scott movie alien. And many other films. Continued luck with the move to downsize!
Translator were one of many good bands on the San Francisco based 415 label run by Howie Kline. Romeo Void , Red Rockers & Wire Train all put out excellent albums in the early 80's on 415.
Geez, David, you sure know a lot about these bands! I’ll have to do some research on Howie Kline & the 415 label. I know I have some Romeo Void wire train and Red Rockers albums. If you watch my videos, you’ll see them eventually!
You're doing a great job sorting out your records. I endorse all these decisions! I've not seen Caddyshack II, but something tells me I'm not missing anything.
Hi Dave! Everyone keeps telling me to skip Caddyshack 2, but I’ve been told I have bad taste in movies so maybe I should check it out. Robert Stack is a cool dude.
@@djstephwest do these same people watch a lot of Netflix and Hulu? 😁 Dan Aykroyd shoots himself in the buttocks with a crossbow, what more could you possibly want?
I love at least four Poi Dog Pondering songs. Living With The Dreaming Body, Spending The Day In The Shirt That You Wore, Complicated, Postcard From A Dream, and Toast And Jelly, are all great songs that might fit in a playlist with Camper Van Beethoven, Violent Femmes, Talking Heads or some quirky 80s indie stuff that would have been on the Burnt Dog Radio back in the day. My only hesitation with them is they seem to throw in some almost Christian songs occasionally. From my memory, they were a fun, indie, world beat, hippie group from Hawaii I think. I say Hawaii because Poi Dog in Hawaiian means mutt dog.
I am a new subscriber to your youtube channel and I really like your channel to see that you are letting people know about the old stuff and I love seeing the albums and I would like it to be seen by all the people on youtube I would be very happy to see it
HR Giger is dude who designed the aliens for the movie Alien. I hated hated hated Walking on Sunshine. Even when it was released. You dont wanna see Caddyshack 2. Trust me. I know one tune by Producers I remember liking. I think it was called “Whats he Got.” Really dig your wall behind you.
Hi Stephanie 👋 ! - Should you ever come across a Dead Kennedys album of Frankenchrist with the Giger poster included you should buy it , it's very collectible !
Love Kookoo ...Oasis, Inner City Spillover, Chrome. So raw and stripped down. It sounds like what it is Chic and Blondie imploding🥰
Necessary Evil was great too but hasn't been released on vinyl yet.
Wow, you must be a mega fan..your naming Debbie Harry albums I never knew existed. Thanks, I’ll have to check them out.
@@djstephwest yes ...LOVE her!
@@djstephwest Blondie just cancelled the rest of the US tour. It must be Debbie related ...hope she's okay😅
@@allyoopopp I saw her at the Cruel World festival around two years ago and she seemed to be ok. Yes, hope she is OK.

There is not enough New Jack Swing in the VC. Love that 12 inch single by Al B Sure. Great song. Happy spinning.
I agree. Love New Jack Swing!

Thanks. I didnt know that. The ending scene when Sigourney Weaver faces off with the alien was terrifying!. 😱 Great movie!
Nice video.! As a swede myself i would like H.R Giger to be from here. But he was from Switzerland. I

Hi Stephanie! ✌️ thanks. Edit: Caddyshack 2 is no Caddyshack one, but it does have Robert Stack who i thought was great no matter what he did

That’s funny, I just watched Alien last month. What a great movie! As for Caddyshack 2, the consensus among the vinyl community is to skip it. lol
i got rid of my We Are the World a few months ago. I havent seen anyone show the producers

I haven’t come across any dead Kennedys, but I would definitely pick it up if I saw it!
Majority for the thrift/charity shop imo
The Batman soundtrack? Throw it. 🦇
I wish I had the Batman soundtrack!
Keep the KINGS.
Trash everything else.
