I do love these 5-minute videos for experts. It's not "hidden." It's in the status bar at the very bottom. Lots of tools put dynamic keystrokes down there. Always worth looking at when you use a tool.
Very true :)
The first one is insane!
Thanks and glad you find it useful!
Tool tips are really helpful, they can be extra helpful when a real use case is demonstrated as well
good point! what type of reaul use case are you suggesting?
Simpler solution to Edge Slide Clamp is just use move tool: GG and hold Alt to extend the slide. Thx for the compilation of useful techniques 🧡
thanks for the tip! didn't know that.
@@UHStudio the same works for verts. cheers!
the clamp thing was something I was looking for years.. thx
Cheers!
Damn I needed that outwards edge slide on my last project, I managed to get it done but knowing that before would've been much easier
Yes some of these are crazy that they feel so hidden!
Your videos are really great. A cool topic would be inserting buildings into a video (shots from a drone), motion tracking, camera tracking for architects in blender. Tips on how to maintain the scale of buildings in a given video, or how to insert an object into a video where the object is behind a fence.
Thanks for the suggestion, but camera tracking and video VFX are note my areas of expertise.
This is very useful. Appreciate your type of building the examples. Well done!
Cheers :)
Very simple and helpfull thank you!
Cheers :)
I’m a early subscriber!! Love your tutorials!!
thanks so much!
HUGS to you ! the GG pick axis and then press C for clamp man !!! AMAZING !!!
It does actually tell you how to toggle clamp in the tool properties, you just have to be looking while actively using the tool. The moment you clicked on that pin it gives the exact same information as if you pressed GG or used the context menu
Overall pretty useful video for beginners. I don't know how popular this kind of video is, but bite sized tool insights & workflow tips are never a bad thing.
Thanks for the feedback :)
0:50 Also, when you use gg to slide, then you see on top if (C)lamping is turned on or off. Just look in your video :)
Yes thank you :)
if you want to slide edge like at first tip you can also just press alt
also for more fast transformations by normal you can press twise z/x/y
How do you show that outline when modeling? like that wireframe sir?
In the viewport header, top right, the two overlapping circles icon for Overlays, click the arrow to open the menu and near the middle there should be an option to enable Wirefeame
Do arch guys use blender in studios? Max have a lot of 3d models and plugis so its hard to switch
Some do. Less than max, but more and more are adopting Blender.
noice video
Thanks!
for the the one you can just hold alt
do you mean GG and then alt as @pZq suggested?
4:17 its doesnt works. Z is cutting through.
C button does not work
No mention of inset then holding Ctrl down...... Extrude and scale together!
Keep releasing and pressing the Ctrl while the inset is still active and you are moving the cursor up / down ........ to learn the tool.
Thanks for the tips. Any more?
@@UHStudio Sure - Taking 5 months to respond to comment seems insulting to us viewers. Try cutting that down a bit.
Have a nice day.
