Thank you, Michael! God Bless! Love your cheer and keen interests! BTW, I was delighted to give a special copy of "The Worm Ouroboros" to my niece this Christmas! There are so many delights in the fantasy realm! Take care!
I got a broken kitchen sink for Xmas. I called my plumber who's an old one, and I asked "R'lyeh working Xmas day?" He told me to "shub it up my niggurath.' i told him "in that case, I'm Dunwich you."
Two fantastic dogs,Roger and Michael, and a cool looking statue just behind Roger.. Excellent video as always. Happy Christmas everyone, enjoy your day.
Book of the New Sun - Definitely four books. And I love all four of the Don Maitz covers. Merry Christmas to you and yours! Sorry to see Roger looking a little stressed! I know the holidays can hit us hard sometimes.
I absolutely love that cover to the Frankenstein novel! Great stuff and Merry Christmas Michael! (The Book of the New Sun...don't do it!) (Big John Buscema drawing Wonder Woman? That's sounds like a must have!)
You and Moid over at Death Media Cult talking up Book of the New Sun…added to the 2025 queue! Merry Christmas Michael, and eager to see what comes in the new year with your challenge.
Merry Christmas! Maybe the Michael and Roger Christmas variety show can become annual? I grew up on and learned a lot from The Twilight Zone, own several books about it and the great Rod Serling and yet somehow I still haven’t bought that book. I need to get on that!
Merry Christmas! There was a posthumous collaboration of John Buscema with Gil Kane called "Superman: Blood of My Ancestors". He also did "Just Imagine Stan Lee with John Buscema Creating Superman", in which he was the sole artist. The entire Just Imagine series was essentialy an elseworlds though, and the imagery reflects that.
Merry Christmas! I’m going to be doing a reread of Book of the New Sun next year so I look forward to hearing your thoughts. Also, I was on the REH Press site recently and I noticed that they have the Science Fantasy volume, with Almuric, listed as coming soon. I‘ll probably have to pick it up as I believe you’ve recommended it a few times.
The Twilight Zone book was great Michael. I read it some time ago & like you I have all the episodes & read the book along with the episodes just as you propose. Glad I found you btw!
I love The Twilight Zone! I am not sure I have seen every single episode. (I almost don't want to, because once you do that... there is no more. The remake doesn't count.) I would love to have the series on DVD. It's one of those shows that I would never get tired of watching.
Why am I watching this? Because all the festivities of the day are over, and I want to unwind. I checked out that Twilight Zone book from the library a few years ago. It was a terrific book. Very entertaining. Those Baen books were my proper introduction to Robert E. Howard's works. I had read individual stories in various anthologies, but Bran Mak Mork was the first full Howard book I read. About that second Superman-Spider-Man team up: John Buscema did amazing versions of Superman and Wonder Woman, but I think his rendition of the Parasite is the best version of that character. Great stuff!
Jack Williamson, a Grandmaster of Sci fi, and some fantasy(and a horror classic, "Darker than you Think") had to say about Clifford D Simak. "Good fantasy - and that includes science fiction - takes off from the known for its flights into the new. Cliff Simak was a master of the art. His known was the rural Midwest that he loved. His new could reach to the ends of space and time, but never beyond reality. Even his cosmic aliens always had half human dimensions that made them believable. I loved him, as so many did, for his unfailing warmth and a wit that was keen but never cruel. I heard from him often during the painful time after his wife's death. His own death touched me deeply
I wish i had an extremely generous friend who would gift me an omnibus. Many more merry days to u. By the way, great special appearance of the furry friends too
Michael.....you have Star Trek - Deep Space 9 next!! Lucky you! It is a roller coaster ride once it gets into its stride. 😀 When you have finished with Star Trek, I *highly* recommend Babylon 5, both the TV series and the books. If ST-DS9 can be called good, B5 can be called epic. 😊
In Christmas special thr word Christmas which is a noun serves the purpose of adjective and the word special which is adjective serves thr purpose of a noun :)
Herry Mappy Christmas! I didn't know Marvel and DC crossed over so many times. Are they allowed to have anything important happen that has barring on their respective continuity (such as it is)? Was it treated as an elseworld/what if story? I've a feeling they'd be nervous about if they could reprint this stuff in perpetuity, but I'm not sure on their terms. Very attractive conceit, but the sort of thing that could turn out to be more publicity gimmick. Either way I still want to read them all! Daredevil has literal horns, what's going on!?
Hey, I'm also watching Star Trek TNG! And I'm about halfway through season five. I like how William Shatner and Leonard Nemoy kinda tie together Star Trek with The Twilight Zone.
Thank you, Michael! God Bless! Love your cheer and keen interests! BTW, I was delighted to give a special copy of "The Worm Ouroboros" to my niece this Christmas! There are so many delights in the fantasy realm! Take care!

Roger's not evil, he's just misunderstood.
Merry Christmas, Michael! Thanks for yet another wonderful shout-out and I look forward to hearing what you think about my take on Moreau. 🐐
Thanks Michael for all the great content this past year. Merry Christmas!
Two fantastic dogs,Roger and Michael, and a cool looking statue just behind Roger..
Excellent video as always.

Merry Christmas! Maybe the Michael and Roger Christmas variety show can become annual?
I grew up on and learned a lot from The Twilight Zone, own several books about it and the great Rod Serling and yet somehow I still haven’t bought that book. I need to get on that!
Nice to see Roger making an effort. 🥳🥳

Now I read Pacific Crucible by Ian W. Toll. Great book.
Rhonda! I love that dog
Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, Michael! You know I don’t think I ever finished Book of the New Sun, but what I read of it was awesome

Merry Christmas, and thank you for another year of fun videos.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Michael
Merry Christmas Michael & Roger!!!!!
You are the gift which keeps on giving!

Merry Christmas, Michael! 🎄🕯️
Merry Christmas Michael! 🎅

I was hoping Roger would dance to cheer up the Christmas festivities but I guess we don't always get what we want. Happy Holidays to you and Roger.
Merry Christmas!
you come to a lot of people in who knows how many countries, thanks for share your like for read. have a merry Christmas
The Twilight Zone book was great Michael. I read it some time ago & like you I have all the episodes & read the book along with the episodes just as you propose. Glad I found you btw!
Merry Chrismas M. K. V. A great batch of books you showed, The Twilight Zone book looks interesting.
I love The Twilight Zone! I am not sure I have seen every single episode. (I almost don't want to, because once you do that... there is no more. The remake doesn't count.) I would love to have the series on DVD. It's one of those shows that I would never get tired of watching.
🎄🎁✨️
That Twilight Zone book is a perfect gift for Christmas 2024, which marks Rod Serling’s 100th birthday.
Why am I watching this? Because all the festivities of the day are over, and I want to unwind.

Merry Christmas! Hey, it's Rod Sterling's 100th birthday!!!
❤❤❤

Merry Christmas Michael!! 🎄
(by the way, the severed head on that Howard book looks so much like CAS. Just me? 🤣)
❤
Hey, all the best stories are Pirate tales.
You should read Howard's Gent from Bear Creek stories. I have the first edition of the Gent from Bear Creek, one of maybe 14 or so that still exist. 😇
This was way better than the “Star Wars Christmas Special” (even without Bea Arthur)!
Merry Christmas, Michael!
(Nothing silly about your show, though...)
In Christmas special thr word Christmas which is a noun serves the purpose of adjective and the word special which is adjective serves thr purpose of a noun :)
Merry Christmas, Michael!
Does your reading so much Howard this year mean you're putting aside your Edgar Rice Burroughs read through?
Herry Mappy Christmas! I didn't know Marvel and DC crossed over so many times. Are they allowed to have anything important happen that has barring on their respective continuity (such as it is)? Was it treated as an elseworld/what if story? I've a feeling they'd be nervous about if they could reprint this stuff in perpetuity, but I'm not sure on their terms. How do you keep Roger from eating the doggies? Just wondering cuz it's Christmas.
Hey, I'm also watching Star Trek TNG! And I'm about halfway through season five.
I like how William Shatner and Leonard Nemoy kinda tie together Star Trek with The Twilight Zone.
The first crossover between Marvel and DC was in the late 1970s. So says my memory.
Roger's not evil, he's just misunderstood and he probably has a hard time picking up chick's. Lighten up on the guy.
play speed is normal, but I think I may have set the 'ear size' as 1.25....merry Xmas et al...
That was my first edition of FRANKENSTEIN, as well.
