The first Safety Car period is the longest ever in F1 history at 19 laps. Even more incredible this race completed the full race distance within 2 hours. The following year in the dry, with no Safety Cars took 90 minutes. These guys are supermen
@@thef1master670 well it's a shame we don't have other greats in a title winning car in their very first rookie season to compare to. Hamilton didn't have to work his way up from the back of the grid like almost every other rookie did, he was served a title winning mclaren on a silver platter. Was it better than Schumacher qualifying a Jordan in 7th at spa in his first race? Better than senna almost winning in Monaco in a toleman? Better than kimi finishing 5th in his first race for saber? Very arguable
Brilliant Drive by Raikkonen! He would not give up Overtook Fisichella and Coulthard showing great Pace driving Brilliantly he was finding grip on the track.
Whatever people say about him, in his rookie season Lewis Hamilton was truly something very special. Drove with a confidence and maturity beyond his 22 years.
@@FraserThorburn-us8ny Are you fucking serious!!?? that race was an exception and anyone who knows anything about F1 knows that! @danielclark4880 said that there is NO wet racing in F1 anymore, truly the comment of an ignorant moron, are you saying that Belgium 2021 proves that he's right? one race? jesus christ get a grip!!
I'm tyred of these comments. Where was Hamilton at the Nurburgring this year? Where was Hamilton from 2010 to 2013. Even 2023, whenever Hamilton and Alonso have similar machinery, Alonso performs just that bit better.
you clearly havent watched the 2007 chinese gp yet when Hamilton beached it off the pit entry (yes the pit entry) and threw away the title like a total noob :|
The truth is for most of the season Hamilton did. His 2008 season was full of mistakes. In 2010 and 12 Hamilton was mega but in 2011 he was awful. 2013 was good but during this time alonso was better
Again these kind of stupid comments ,they finished tide on points and let me remind you something "we fighting against Alonso" Ron Dennis . The rookie at mclaren was Alonso
Yes strange if Hamilton could cope well with the conditions you would think Alonso with more experience would cope well too and he was supposed to be good in the wet.
@@tristanwhite3472Performed just fine at Nurburgring that year. Where was Hamilton? Alonsos car had damage. Same with Canada, both weekends where Hamilton gained most points Alonso had damage. These are just facts.
This is my new favourite youtube channel
Thanks!
The bloody last 14 laps weren't present is the only reason it is one of my least faves.
Sorry didn't have them

Greatest rookie performance ever
Have to agree.
Alonso was being Abandoned.
Fuji Speedway in 2007 has tons of drama.
This is the greatest rookie performance ever! Pure domination by Hamilton.
Indeed
Agree.
Incredible performance like a Schumacher drive in the wet.
@@thef1master670until China 2007 where he threw away the title by beaching it in the gravel by the pit entry 😂🤣😂😭 total noob

A very Silent Hill feel to this race with low clouds and fog.
Yes!
I know some people don’t like him but I like him.
Me too he's a true legend
@@paulmclean8332 True and Underrated!

Just in time 😊

Fisichella said after the race it was the Hardest Race he had ever driven.

😮
People forget, rookie Hamilton was an absolute beast.
They don't forget they choose to compartmentalize and ignore.
Why Alonso was so awful there and Canada 2007? That was very unusual from him.
Car was deliberately tanked due to Shamiltion playing games
Off form
Losing is head the Pressure getting to him.
Hot under the collar.

Why Japanese GP was heavy raining?! ☝️😱😨
19:10 . . . the story of his career
*sigh* And to think nowadays, the FIA are too SCARED to have ANY wet racing... 😛😂
@danielclark4880 WTF? so you're saying if it's even slightly wet the race is abandoned? like when?
That’s because of the excessive spray

@danielclark4880 I guess you're okay with the death of Jules Bianchi then?
What was quicker in 2010 Ferrari or McLaren?
Thr last 14 Laps are missing it's a shame because it's great when Hamilton crosses the Line.
@tristanwhite3472 unfortunately I don't have the last 14 laps! Same with France unfortunately
Lewis Hamilton decimated Alonso and that too in his rookie season

Alonso uncharacteristically poor for whatever reason, never looked comfortable until he binned it!
Yes true.
Hamilton was leaving him behind.
He was to hasty on the throttle spun and crashed.
