Because kisaki isn't a time traveler, kisaki and izana die in this arc. For takemichi to stop hina's death or any other death he needs to cut the root of the problem. it's a curse created from the time travel.

Sure there isn't time travel like in real life, but the show/manga has already established that jail time is a real fucking concern. Pah is in jail, Draken was in jail in one timeline. One of the concerns over Hakai killing Taiju was jail time. Also gang influence is proportional to their power. Future Toman hve a lot of influence (and guns), but past Toman are just bunch of kids without guns.

So this all happened because Kazutora killed Mikeys brother I guess.
Not simply that but Kisaki getting kicked out of Toman made him have to formulate a new plan, he found out about Izana, and that kicked started the latest timeline. Because Izana wasn’t aware Shinchiro was dead and that’s why he didn’t show up in previous timelines. Got to really remember everything that’s happened to understand what’s currently going on since it is a time travel anime. 😅

It does not slow down. Ep 4 is probably going to be the slowest episode, and it is still one of my favorites.

Kid Naoto is probably so lost. Gets called out in the middle of the night to meet Takemichi and then he starts holding his hand and crying.
Moving on though, I can definitely get where Sheera is coming from. Takemichi is looking at this from the perspective of the future(where he sees how diabolical and cold Izana seems to be), but there's also a lot of layers to it. Izana gets left to rot and seems to desire a family or place to belong while hearing stories about Mikey from Shinichiro. Then he takes over a gang only to find that gang was actually meant for Mikey to get anyway. He can't find a place where he truly belongs. And the one time he seemingly does, it's actually something meant for someone else anyway. His head is probably swirling with a bunch of complex emotions and Kisaki is using that to his advantage. So lumping Izana in with someone way more twisted than him when Takemichi doesn't even fully understand the circumstances or dynamics can definitely feel a bit rash.
kid naoto wouldnt be too lost...maybe a bit confused, but people forget takemichi already told him he could time travel an he died an that him & his sister died.
this was the first episode of the series, its the whole reason why he's even alive to do the hand shake in the future because kid naoto believed him when he was younger an changed the future...why is everyone forgetting this

But he was literally voicing his confusion about why Takemichi called him out in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night. He doesn't know the context of what Takemichi just went through. One thing i like about tokyo revnegers is it shows that not every darn character have to be strong at fighting and op. Thats what drew me in the first place but also the character designs, story and suspense. People get on takemitchy and wanna stop watching after season 2 or ask their audience cause they cant stand him being 'weak' but when it comes to main characters that beat up everyone all the darn time, strongest in the show, thats not a problem, only when they weak it is

The only way I see takemitchy saving everyone and hinata is getting to kisaki’s personal motive against him and trying to change whatever beef kisaki has with him. He needs to know why kisaki hates him and has it out for hina. He isn’t cold enough to kill kisaki, it would change takemitchy and he had a whole arc convincing hakkai to not kill taiju or it will change him.
I always thought why isn’t takemitchy learning about kisaki’s motives towards him and hina? He’s only focused on toman and mikey which makes sense. I don’t see it in takemitchy to kill kisaki.
