I remember the 80's music, I remember King Jammy, in my view he's the greatest of his time and that music is Jamaican music. Jamaica feel proud. Big Up your music
The government should put music equipment and instruments in every school in Jamaica....and sit back and watch the vibes they bring...that country especially in the 70s n 80s ..untouchable
People from all corners of the word, all nations, all ages, all genders take Jamaica producers as a "mentors"/ "inspiration". I'm so happy that in my youths, my father showed me this genre. Feeling even blessed about that cause we are from north 😂 a serious vibes. Introduce reggae culture to your children, they wouldn't have money for something else like drugs or alcohol. They will invest into soundsystem and studio to play records and instruments. Jammy$! Tubby's! Sir Coxsone, Byron Lee and each and everybody! Big respect due!
Thanks King Jammy's. You made Jamaica a better place by being a musical genius. Totally enjoyed your music over the years. You deserve your crown 👑. 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲
Thank you for this insight. It's so helpful and important for a deeper understanding of those circumstances under which some of the best Reggae-Music was realised. Heartical respect from Germany.
I remember I could not wait to get mixed tapes to listen to These songs. Neva went to a dance, but always wished I could. Lol. Always love the music, they will never die in my mind.
~~~~ Incredible!!!! Bless up for posting this amazing documentary where we get blessed with the KING Himself discussing his philosophy!!! Large!!!! ~~~~
Watching and listening to this make my blood crawl with excitement and joy . Especially hearing the pioneer and revolution of the sleng teng riddim . We have so much culture and power as a people and race so i wish we were the ones benefiting the most off our music culture and arts . Respect to all the foundation pioneers in the business past and present. Bless 🙌
What the f###ck is going on with the music now. Look at how professional, creative and dynamic or dance Hall music and space was. Look at it now, rubbish 😭 right now the old 80ths music is recycling and generating more play and money than the present rubbish
The baseline knock him down lol him ave bad heart and deh a dance a so you know when dance nice. Lol I'm in smiles watching this. I just love the history of our music. I could just listen the riddim them alone all day long.
We need back this it unite people all the artists should come together and give him a crowning what happened to the power shabba ranks long live the King 🤴
Current Settings: 04/06/2022 Laying on my Sofa entertained by VP Records watching King Jammy, King at the Control's Documentary. Irie Memories that's why I've always said, Wealth comes to mind but I know that Music is Spiritial but the Music business is not!!! Great watch🇯🇲Give Thanks King Jammys for sharing his Love and Passion of Great Artiste past and present 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿🙏🏿
Like a fairy tale. Unreal. A whole big big something out of nothing. God almighty must have had his hand in this. God bless King Jammy, all the artists and children and wives and mothers, the neighborhood and the producers of this wonderful documentary.
it just shows the journey that dancehall took and the many artist that play a major roll in making what we have today possible for our young artist the sad part is many of them dont know this history and dont bother to visit and learn where it all stem from.. great documentary
Double '00'Qweff, there is NOTHING for the young artist to learn, other than "QUIT BEING FOOLS!"... This only highlight how BLACK MEN and black people in general are ALWAYS exploited by everyone or their talents. They are comfortable only getting enough to eat and can never think beyond the next plate of food!!! Look at who is behind most of dancehall music as producers, managers etc etc!!! Jamaica is one big SLAVE plantation with mixed overseers and nonblacks leading everything. Besides the fame i.e. people knowing their names, most of these artist have NOTHING to show. Absolutely NOTHING!! But guess what? Jamaicans are just happy to have been a part of the show. SMH.....Something is VERY wrong around the world with black people. They dance their @sses off, while they cannot afford a can of Milk the next day,....then they go on to vote to maintain the same poverty line.....I am at a loss for words when I look at the reality. It all stem from LOW SELF ESTEEM!! IDIOCY and POVERTY!! singing and dancing their lives away, while others control them. Yes, some were able to eat after shows, but their race needs more than that.
He was King Jammys to everyone but at Alpha Academy in the 90s we knew him as ‘Natalie father the big music producer’ lol. We all tried to see him when he came to pick her up from school. Good times I tell you
It’s too short we need a part two yes ? , lots a memories a come back , dancehall music nice , all dem riddim wicked , I was listening like I was in school , just getting all knowledge how d music started , thanks vp
Sleng teng that's when the beat change from rub ah dub which was slower. a crew called blood fire posse had a beat called get flat was also a pioneering beat of what we call dancehall today
This man was very talented and very genius he's given reggae dancehall music all the spices that the island 🏝 created he's got the Marcus Garvey status in musical riddims, to say he's got a gaza status it's an understatement he's got the Israeli status instead gaza got no power.
We point to various communities and say that it is the place where Jamaican music started. My take is that while it may seem so, most of these inhabitants were originally from various locations in rural Jamaica. These people or their parents came to Kingston from country to make a better living. Music is an intrinsic part of ALL Jamaicans.
King Jimmy's is the heart of sound system ,King save a lots life's in Jamaica take youth out of badness and let them get rich out of music ...it's the best all around when it's come on to danceall ridem
