📋 Explanation of the numbers in this video: • Understanding Cost To ...
In addition to annual costs, we cover the cost per hour and cost per mile to operate. We also cover key performance stats so you know what you're paying for.
Costs of airplane ownership vary widely from owner to owner. This video takes an average of the various expenses from existing owners and boils them down to simple to digest numbers. Your ownership experiences will be unique. - Авто та транспорт
BushCat is watching - thanks so much for the interest in our aircraft.
There is a gas lifter kit available for the doors.
Operating the flaps becomes 2nd nature after a few touch and goes - the motion of swapping arms around to deploy or retract flaps is known as “the BushCat shuffle “ - I will ask BushCatTom to consider demonstrating this on one of his videos.
"hold on while I flex how many bush planes I can draw...ahh that's better"
That zebra-stripe paint job is just so striking. Whichever company designer physically threatened the bean-counters to allow for that cost deserves an award.
Hoping for a Republic Sea-Bee episode! I love that little nugget.
I bought a “Booshcat” and I absolutely love it! Super sturdy construction, handles great in wind, big roomy cockpit, STOL, inexpensive to maintain. Yes sir, it’s the “Booshcat” for me!😆
Ah the legend! I was waiting for your comment :)
I went up to Aerosport and went for a discovery flight in the Bushcat yesterday! Fun plane, cool people. 😀
@@Lewthor You’ve started down the path young grasshopper. Now you know what you must do.
‘Mad Drip’ got a proper chuckle. Thank you!
Attempt #2: Just for fun, let's say I want to buy an Air Tractor! The AT-802F Fire Boss with the floats being a personal favorite, because we all know, the floats make it awesome ; )
Speaking of wiggly, could you cover the Asso Aerei made of pasta noodles? I believe it's the "Super Spaghetti Sincopato". The TBO is just listed as "al dente".
Agree entirely regarding the flaps and trim, it'd be nice if it were easily accessible by the free hand.
Oh so awesome. You have a magical touch for giving us an intimate understanding of each plane you draw in less time than it takes to soft boil an egg.
I'm heading up to fly the Bushcat in the next week or so! I haven't seen a Bushcat for sale on any of the usual sites yet and haven't seen a used one either. I was just checking to see if you had a Bushcat walkaround and poof there it is, right on cue!! Thanks for the awesome channel, make more flying vid's too 😇
Have a nice flight
As usual, great information with witty humor 👍😂👍
I really think you should do a “for fun” video on cost to own for something like an airliner 😂
Hopefully there's something between the aluminum tubes and the steel brackets. Those two metals don't normally work well together.
I love your channel dude! Also smooth voice, I like how it's really calm.
Thanks for sharing! Didn't know that this kit was on the market!
Would love to see a cost rundown of an xcub, it looks super nice. Excellent video as always
You have a really soothing voice
First! Love your videos!!
I agree about the flaps! They need to change that
Great video as always! Curious to see you do a video on the Bonanza F33A. Great little straight-tail Bonanza. Would totally consider getting one if I could ever afford it
They're very nice aircraft and there's plenty of room for hauling meatballs. There was, as I'm sure you're aware, an Airworthiness Directive was issued due to potential catastrophic interaction between the rudervator and meatballs containing >5% horsemeat with the V-tail cousins.
"Mad drip" earned my like
Another great video! In the spirit of Mosaic, any chance on doing some of the cool options from Europe that may be available "unthrottled" in the coming months (JMB VL3, Magnus Fusion, Risen, Blackwing 635RG, etc)?
I've been chatting with JMB. I'm trying to arrange a demo flight. Hopefully that happens soon .
@@CompleteWalkaround They were in the Orlando area a few weeks ago for demo flights, unfortunately I had some business I had to tend to and couldn't go. The VL3 is on my short list, I'm hoping to buy something sometime next year. Thank you!
Not sure if you will see this but concerning your transmit issue, If it has not done it before I would pull the radios and clean the pins in the radios and the trays. If moisture got into the radios take them out and dry them. I would also check the sheilding on the antenna cable and make sure its not grounding to the inner cable. Have a good look around the antenna coax connections for corrosion. Any green nasty corrosion needs to be addressed as it will screw with everything. A multi meter will be your friend
Radios are bourgeois, I simply roll down my window and yell instructions or if I'm outside of AYR (Aeronautical Yelling Range) I will politely ask a goose to relay the message.
Oh wow interesting, I wouldn't have thought of that. Thanks. Any particular solution to use on them or just any old cleaner?
@@CompleteWalkaround Get a contact cleaner from an auto parts place , spray can. Blow it out with compressed air. The radios are held into the trays with a hex key located on the face of the unit, they will feed out as you turn the screw. Electronics can be a pain in the ass.
I'd love to see a video on any of the Jabiru aircraft!
The planes I fly, ICP Savannah has a build time as low as 100 hours. The guys in the club have put one together to the unpainted state in a under a week before, but they have build double digits of them at this stage.
Savannahs are beautiful aircraft. Out of interest, where are you from? I've never seen reference to them from anyone outside my country. (South Africa for the curious)
@@sweeflyboy Ireland. They are popular enough around Europe and great for the small grass strips that litter the country side.
Thank you. I love this plane.
Another great video. You should do one for Beechcraft Sundowner.
"My Bushcat wiggle wiggles, but not fold..."
Yep. I'll have that stuck in my head all day.
Cool, haven’t heard of these before, it sounds like fun 😁👋🇬🇧
There pretty interesting to fly very smooth, great video aeronca 7ac champ next I beg
You need to do the Bearhawk 4 Place!! ❤❤
Can you please do a video on the Bellanca Super Viking?
please make a video cost to own seamax m22, it looks quite amazing tho, and do i need hangar for a plane that i can store in my garage ?
Nice video! Unusual plane, but doing a video on the S211 would be cool
2:05 shoutout to @bushcattom
Neato!
Van you so the Diamond da20?
Flying in that in the wind sounds like fun
This is probably the most cost efficient plane you can buy and is extremely easy to maintain.
They now have a hydraulic strut for the doors I noticed.
"It's like building an airplane-shaped tent."
SNORT!
Bush cata
I have seen the cruise speed quoted as low as 80 and as high as 105mph. Why the discrepancy?
Power setting and exaggeration mainly. I've flown in bushcat and have a friend with one too.
Are your numbers at a 75% power setting?@@CompleteWalkaround
@michaelspunich7273 usually. There's a link in the description of the video that explains all the numbers that you might like.
I own one. Never exceed is 103mph. Dont have to worry about hitting that unless you want to straight dive.@@michaelspunich7273
Serious request: Can you please draw a pith hat and then flash it on the screen oh so briefly every time you insert a pithy comment in your commentary?
Is that like a safari hat?
Airplane shaped tent.....
You didn't say what engine equips it, did you? 912 I guess?
Ya, 912 for sure
MAD DRIP
Funny in a way only aviation fans can understand
Cut and laced by the builder, and it flies?? Are you sure this isn't code for dealing drugs? ;p
Shhhhh...😎. But really that was a good one
Meow.
1:08 to 1:16 That got me 😂
80 ktas cruise? No thanks.
Still waiting for the GippsAero GA8 Airvan review!!
