If you grew up in the 70's into the 80's this is a very powerful and nostalgic song that conjurs up memories of lost love. Many young (and old) 'broken-hearts' jammed this one hard back in the day and it still reminds me of a few 'that got away' every time I hear it. For those of us that lived it, it can really bring back a major case of 'the feels'. 35 years later and I still love and miss you Gabrielle ❤. Brad, you might have heard this in a commercial or movie. Peace and keep rockin' guys..✌️🤘😎
It's got that 70s disco vibe a little bit. Kinda has a Bee Gees feel. I loved this song as a kid. Born in 66 I lived through some great music in the 70s
Remember that all those singers and musicians grow up listen to a completely diferent kind of music as their parents were listen to 40s and 50s music.... For me all this "new" groups from late 60s, 70s and 80s are forever the best. They change the world.
After having taking BABY COME BACK for granted lo these many years, I now seriously believe this is one of the best modern pop songs ever written and performed. From the lyrics to the melody and how every instrument and vocal harmony is on point and supercool. It's laid back and smooth but at the same time it has a harder edge than most R&B tunes. Simply brilliant.
This is one of those songs that never goes out of style and people of all ages sing along! They remind me of Hall & Oates - “She’s Gone” and songs like that.
@@andyscott5277 Definitely! Michael Mcdonald has that soulful style I like, Ambrosia is another good one! The more you think about it the more you come up with.
I am a proud 71 baby and this kind of music is my life and I would take their concerts over a lot of them now, any one of them could sing lead and still be a platinum album. Singers thought process back then along with a different kind of heat added to the charisma of their music! Thank you and keep of your good work because as you feel our music you feel our souls. ❤

Its condescending crap, and its all about money for hits. Dont fall for it. When do you ever see/hear blk people liking white music.? They're too insular/racist to enjoy our music, like we have always enjoyed theirs.
I remember this song so well. They played it on the radio Still do. In the video The bass player used to play Ridge Forrester on the Bold and the Beautiful
Great song. Always loved those guitar leads. Tasty. Rock, blues, R&B, there's such a fine line between them that sometimes you just can't break it down to one genre.
The one in red went on to become an actor on the soap The Bold and the Beautiful as Ridge Foster! Other musicians not in this band who also starred on Daytime soaps are Rick Springfield ( Dr. Noah Drake on General Hospital) (Jessie’s Girl) and Jack Wagner ( All I Need) ( General Hospital, Frisco Jones)

Songs like this remind me of a time in which someone would buy a vinyl album and everyone in the neighborhood would come listen to it. Sittin' around, hardly talking, listening to the songs, but reacting/discussing each song between tracks. Sometimes, if we played the songs enough to know them, we'd "band sync" while we listened. Great for rainy days!!!
I don't suppose either one of you remembers a daytime soap "classic" show called "The bold and the beautiful" ... But if you do, Ronn Moss, the bassist and co-lead singer of Player, played mullet-sporting, Kirk Douglas-chinned heartthrob Ridge Forrester for many years in it!
A banger….even today this song sounds so good hard to believe its a 70’s hit. Again i would say that singing clearly so people can hear every word and sing along is most important.
