Asia's reactions are priceless. That smile shows what a big kick she gets out of these songs. Respect, girl. Hey, there's a live version of this if you want to see what they look like!
I suggested this song so long ago...and...Hall & Oates-'Sara Smile"..& Ambrosia-"How Much I Feel"; "You`re The Only Woman"; "You`re The Biggest Part Of Me" (3 great Ambrosia songs...they have a similar sound to Player`s "Baby Come Back". Gotta check them out!!!
That was a classic #1 Pop song by Player with a funny feel and great lead vocals by Peter Beckett and harmony by the group! Great instrumentation, climaxed with Beckett's amazing guitar solo!
It warms my heart to see the younger generation hearing and understanding how great the music was back in the 70's and 80's. I had the opportunity to live it and it was great back then.
Asia & BJ, I'm surprised that you didn't elect to view the official video to this track, because you would have seen the entire band doing their thing!!! This is an signature 70's smooth-vibe banger!!!
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! THIS SONG!! I was a kid when it came out and I remember my mom listening to it In the car. We have a 70’s channel that plays in the salon where I work. Every time it comes on we’re all singing “Baby come back” loud and proud!
One of my favorite songs of my childhood. Great smoothe vocals and harmonies. Great guitar licks and keyboards. It was a prom and couples skate favorite. The words really pluck those heart strings
If you saw the video of Player performing, you would be like--"uh, really?" Sort of like seeing Wild Cherry for the first time performing "Play That Funky Music (White Boy)."
This is a great soulful song. I don't have any Player recommendations, but I think you'd like Biggest Part Of Me, by a band called Ambrosia. It has the same '70s soul and some beautiful harmonies. Give it a listen.
Agree. I was 23 years old when i first heard Baby Come Back and Biggest Part of Me. From then on i kept listening to it. Gives me so much nostalgia. I am 30 now 🤣
Asia. I'm talking to you. You seem to really appreciate a real love letter set to music that honestly expresses emotion that makes your heart beat faster. So, here's another one. Richard Marx pleads for his soul over a woman in his song, KEEP COMING BACK. And just to give the woman's side of the coin Taylor Dayne gives her vocal desire open air to love as she watches others live inside a bubble created from shared emotion. The song is SEND ME A LOVER. And Player is a British-American band.
Some of the best music of all genres during the 1970s and it just proves that good music is timeless see these young people and how they react to one of the great soft rock Classics of all time. I mean you can really tell they both like this song Especially Asia she just gets that Doe eyed look in her eyes
Hey Asia & BJ from Little Rock, Arkansas: Glad to see Young People Like y’all Listen to Different Music from Different Years keep them Coming!👍🏽😎🌺💪🏽👑👑💙💙
I feel so lucky to have grown up in the 1970s. I didn't realize at the time how great this music was. So glad that young people like you can experience this great music.
this song is so smooth. Part R&B Soul, part rock, part disco, part motown. loved how it was implemented in the movie Transformers. Another song with a similar vibe/genre: Pablo Cruise "Love Will Find a Way".
I love watching younger people such as yourselves enjoying the music from my generation! Love you guy's channel. Asia, you get so into it that it melts my heart. Such true emotion listening to the music. BJ, you're feeling the instruments so much you just get into a groove. LOVE IT ALL !
Great choice - the late 70s certainly had a unique vibe. In 1997, I went to see the Little River Band (they have a bunch of great songs, btw, hint hint), they were performing at a Casino (and not sure how many original members there were, but one of the guitarists was the writer/singer of this song, so it was cool to hear this song played.
And, also...the official video of Player performing this is worth watching. If you really like the song, check out the video of them performing it. You will appreciate it more. Plus, little trivia for you..one of the guys in the band was on the Soap Opera "Bold & The Beautiful" for about 30 years.
Great Song, pretty much a one hit wonder for them. They were only around a short time. A couple of them got back together in the 90's. They played a local festival here back then. I remember everyone watching them play and commenting how they did not recognize any of their songs. Then they played "Baby Come Back" last, and everyone said at the same time, "Hey I know that song". One of the singers was in the soap opera "The Bold and the Beautiful". I remember them having a poster of him on the stage stating this fact.
Great reaction! Brings back memories from the 70’s. This song never gets old. The meaning is rock solid and it was a great slow dance tune with the ladies
I know from watching your reactions you both like those love songs. Here's a Smooth, Jazzy, one with all the words you would want to say to the one ❤️ you love. And it Shows off the versatility of George Benson's vocal range. Please react to L" Love of My Life"
This is from the 70's afterglow era that shined brightly throughout the decade, just after the Summer Of Love in 68. The 70's featured the peak of soft rock, romantic ambiance and sexual freedom. It was also the last blast for listening to great radio stations as well.
Yup, that 70's vibe👍👍!!!!! The greatest decade of music..... Our radio airways we're a constant BOMBARDMENT of GREA GREA GREAT GREAT Music..... I am SOOOOO blessed and fortunate to have grown up as a young man in that great decade....
Man this song was huge back in the 70s! I was about 14 years old when this hit the radio waves back then! Damn I’m old! 😂great tune though! This is considered yacht rock! Pop rock! Soft rock. Great music indeed! 60s, 70s, and 80s even some 90s where the best times for real music from the heart!✌️😎🤟
The break right after the high note was originally the end of the song. They performed it live and hit that note and stopped but didn’t get an applause so they started playing again. After that it was left in.
Easy rock was a curious genre. It abandoned sex, loud guitars and drugs for melodies and harmonies. It's a fascinating rabbit hole filled with music that still holds up primarily because it is melodic and catchy. 'Love Will Find a Way' by Pablo Cruise, 'I'm Not in Love' by 10cc and 'Sara' by Fleetwood Mac are some other songs I'd place at the top of that playlist.
Nowadays they don't play music like this, where you can dance with your lady nice and slow, and enjoy the music as well. Listen to "this time I'm in it for love" by player
Player and Ambrosia were grossly underrated bands during their time. I was in 8th grade in 1978 when this banger was dropped. I appreciate them more now than I did then probably because we had so many great bands back then. It was truly a buffet of great music to listen to then.
Just came across your channel and all the great music you’re first time experiencing…a huge chunk of this music like this song, a lot of Bob Seger, etc that is now called classic rock was original rhythm & blues/rock back then. So much great music and storytelling-Bob Seger is probably my tops
You hit it pretty much on the head, in the seventies when it came out it was definitely easy listening true hard rock bands did not like this band, but as you get older you realize the song has a lot of soul a lot of feel and there is meeting to it so I imagine a lot of the Rockers have changed their mind since they were teenagers back in the 70s, you guys are great thanks a lot!
My wife of 34 years. Ones we were going through a rough bump in our relationship. I stepped away from home. And she dedicated this song to me…❤ I was a little cold towards her at the time but we were able to work things out. The story is that 20 years after that episode. We played it and it touches my heart in a very deep way. So much so that I cry every time. I was being stupid at the time too. But we are so happy that we’re still together and going strong.❤️ Thank you guys!! It was awesome.
No other decade can touch the 70's!! What a WONDERFUL TIME for music genres. It was great growing up listening to all of these songs and it warms my heart to watch both of you enjoy it as I think back to simpler times
I love this song. If you watch the official video you will see Ron Moss who plays the bass (in the video he's in red). He played Ridge on the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful for many years.
My favorite song in Jr high. Had a major crush on Ron Moss (bassist). He also played Ridge Forrester on “The Bold and the Beautiful “. Lead singer (Peter Beckett) also sang with Little River Band. It was released in 1977 and written by Peter Beckett and J.C. Crowley (keys). You should see it live!
Watch the official video guys, like Mauri said in the comment below. Also this one is slower than the original recording...why i know that? Because i've still got the 45 on vinyl! 1977.... 😃 Ron Moss, actor from "The Bold And The Beautiful" tv-soap (80s, 90s, 00s) is the bass 'player'...
I’m telling y’all, the music from the 60s, 70s and early 80s were the best! There was no auto tune. What you heard was the real thing!
AMEN
Most Definitely
That's right..."the real thing"!
You most likely mean that music WAS the best.
You got no argument from me!
It is impossible to dislike this song. It's a perfect song.
Player is a highly underrated band. Superior vocals and dope beats.
Well they didn't have many hits.
i don't know why but it always reminds me of WKRP in CIN CINNATI. MAYBE IT WAS Lonni Anderson.
Yup
Real Talk
I love watching young people being amazed by old good music!
And the music production.
I do as well! They really get me excited! Takes me back to this wonderful era of music! Great reaction! ❤️
Back in the 70's love songs were written like it was a personal letter between two people. Very intimate. God, I miss the 70's...
Excellent Analogy!!
That's almost like I miss your booty and milkshake etc.😜
You aint the only one lol, I wish i could go back so BAAAAAAD
Nicely put....
Now they just Ghost you….

Respect, girl.

There was not a bad song from the 70’s and 80’s! So refreshing to see young people enjoying what we grew up on!

Ambrosia and I keep Holding On to yesterday, His much I Feel and other hits is a similar sound and group to take a listen to.
Player, Ambrosia, Ace, Pablo Cruise....such good bands 🔥 🔥🔥🎶🎵
Trueee. Same feels
How much I feel...what a beautiful song. Not that I agree with the "mental cheating".😟
Always thought this was Hall & Oates!
Dudes laid it on the line for love in the days. No fake swagger. Loved this, Family. Love yall
"There was something in everything about you" is such a great lyric.
So is the killer line: "All day long wearing a mask of false bravado, tryin' to keep up a smile that hides a tear."
Already 😮
Asia & BJ, I'm surprised that you didn't elect to view the official video to this track, because you would have seen the entire band doing their thing!!! This is an signature 70's smooth-vibe banger!!!

It was surreal seeing Ridge playing bass.
The OFFICIAL Video will make you feel it even more.... These boys can PLAY and SING....!!! Peace
The best reaction!!! To this classic song🔥🥰🔥 Absolutely loving everything💜💞💜
In the 70s, as a child, you could feel love emanating from the very air. It was magical.
The 70s had such fantastic music. I remember when this was a monster hit on the radio. Great reaction 🔥
A great song back then, still great today
I love this song! It never gets old...classic!! 💖💖
My god, got me singing. Been a minute since I heard this. Brings me back 40+ years.
This is why I love these two. So genuine.
One of my faves....radio days...1970s. so happy you enjoyed it so much! I'm 55, so this has been on my playlists for many years.
LOL. Yep....Google the band itself for a "surprise"
Thats right bro!! Like Red Bone..come get your love!
Lol... Yep✌
All white boys...blue eyed soul...lol
This is a great soulful song. I don't have any Player recommendations, but I think you'd like Biggest Part Of Me, by a band called Ambrosia. It has the same '70s soul and some beautiful harmonies. Give it a listen.
Agree. I was 23 years old when i first heard Baby Come Back and Biggest Part of Me. From then on i kept listening to it. Gives me so much nostalgia. I am 30 now 🤣
*This was a number 1 song for a week on Billboard. The song was written when 2 guys in the band lost their girlfriends.*

Asia, you perfectly described the Yacht Rock genre; Soulful Rock! With a smooth factor put in for flourish ❤️ My favorite genre!
Music has such a way to unite people. I love it. We need more good music today.
Great song! Very cool 70’s ballad. Like others have said, Ambrosia “How Much I Feel” is another great song with this type of sound.
this song is so smooth. Part R&B Soul, part rock, part disco, part motown. loved how it was implemented in the movie Transformers.
Another song with a similar vibe/genre: Pablo Cruise "Love Will Find a Way".
Everything was sprinkled with a touch of disco….nice.
Say what you want about Michael bay, but the dude has a great taste in music.
And he introduces younger audiences to great classics
AN ABSOLUTE MUST HEAR CLASSIC..
10CC "I'M NOT IN LOVE"
Got it on a 45.

Today's music pales in comparison of the seventies those were the days of my youth !
Another big hit of theirs was This Time I’m in it for Love…..but others comments to this song are spot on! So much good music from ‘60’s-‘80’s!
A similar song is Fallin in Love by Hamilton, Joe Frank and Reynolds. Soulful too.
This song spent time on the R&B charts in the day. 🤎🤎🤎🖤🖤🖤
This is on my 70s mix!!
This song always makes me dance & sing. Even though I can’t sing, the dogs don’t care :)
Soulful groove & soulful vocals!!!

Y’all, I grew up listening to this song! Amazing!
I keep saying it, the 70s was the *best* for music. Every song we heard was good, and we loved it. What an era for music!

Our music defines what swag means. Music like this makes me smile.
70's were my era and most of us who are listening from the 70sssssssssssss!
The music from the 60's, 70's, and some of the 80's had the best music. The love songs was heart felt and emotional.
Slow dance hit from the 70’s!!!! Those were the nights, kids!!!!
The break right after the high note was originally the end of the song. They performed it live and hit that note and stopped but didn’t get an applause so they started playing again. After that it was left in.
You guys should see the official video of this song , those guys deliver !!! 10 Plus !!!
I used to play this song a lot on my tape player back in the late 1970s. It gave this nice groovy mellow mood.
OMG, Y’all are just too freaking cute! I absolutely love the way y’all are reacting to this gorgeous song!
Beautiful vocals and harmonizing. The story goes the lead singer wrote this after a break up. Terrific musicians !
I consider myself truly blessed to have witnessed all this great music in the 70’s🙏❤️
Nowadays they don't play music like this, where you can dance with your lady nice and slow, and enjoy the music as well. Listen to "this time I'm in it for love" by player
If you like this, then I think you will enjoy listening to Ambrosia and Pablo Cruise. Great 70s bands and super groovy songs!
If you like Player, you'll love Hall and Oats. Sara Smile, She's Gone, Man-eater. They call It blue- eyed soul.
One of the GREATEST smooth jams of all time, BAR NONE!!
I only discovered this song in the last year or so and to my surprise, Peter Beckett is from Liverpool as well!
I loved this song had this on a 45 record. I am Thankful that I grew up on music like this.
I swear I have the same reaction as you when I hear this. It's sooo good!! Lucky you to hear it for the first time.
One of the best song of it's era. I'm 73 and I still listen to this tune. So great......
THE BLACKBYRDS "WALKING IN RHYTHM"..
A CLASSIC SMOOTH SOUL GROOVE"
You hit it pretty much on the head, in the seventies when it came out it was definitely easy listening true hard rock bands did not like this band, but as you get older you realize the song has a lot of soul a lot of feel and there is meeting to it so I imagine a lot of the Rockers have changed their mind since they were teenagers back in the 70s, you guys are great thanks a lot!
A talented bunch with great harmonies…very overlooked band. “ There was something in everything about you.”….what a beautiful line.
But we are so happy that we’re still together and going strong.❤️
Thank you guys!! It was awesome.
Asia & BJ,
Here are two more of Ambrosia’s songs you might want to react to.
Tina
How Much I Feel
Biggest Part of Me
No other decade can touch the 70's!!
I was a teenager in the 70,s and I still like the music and I'm 66years old now
You two are a cut above. Professional, work well off each other. Top notch.
Love your reaction !! Great song !! Asia, when you glance directly into the camera, well... I don't know how to describe... well, It's Magic !!
The smile on Asia's face....says it all.

I have always liked this song. The instrumental on the beginning and end was great.
The lead singer was Ronn Moss, he was in the soap opera "The Bold and the Beautiful". Crazy.
You guys have the best smiles. Love, love your reactions.
This genre is called White Blue Eyed Soul...or White R&B...check out the Average White Band..."pick Up the Pieces"..
