Nice video, thanks to share it. Is it possible to wear it in the middle of summer with over 30 °C (in Africa)? If possible, how thin should the fabric be? Is 165 g/m² OK?
    Thanks

Thanks for watching! I think that would be fine! I have worn 160gsm (the weight of the W&P standard T) in that temperature fine and even though the Wool Linen is 170gsm I actually feel like it's quite lightweight and comfortable. I think if it got mid to high 30s I'd do a lower weight fabric, probably around the 130 range.

i assume the linen ones were the ones that performed the best in terms of odor management, correct?

Actually I would say wool did the best in terms of odor management. Linen IMO picks up smells easier than wool, but the breathability is worth that trade off.

@@onebagoneworld yeah i forgot to specify besides wool which is obviously the best in that department. Problem is i don't really feel like wearing it in hot climates. I'm from Italy and during summer we get temperatures that are often higher than 30 °c, i think that wool performs best below 30 and probably above 40, where you effectively need insulation from a temperature that is higher than your body temperature...

@@D1L0 same! Italy is what inspired me to make this video actually haha. It was SO hot there over the summer that I sweat through my clothes every single day. That is where I bought one of my first linen shirts and it was the only thing that helped me make it through our time there. The linen definitely out performs all the other shirts in terms of smell for that temperature range and why it will always be in my one bag from here on.

I've been looking for hot weather shirts. Thanks for the review. I'm really liking the Patagonia. By the way, a UPF of 30 blocks 97% uv not 33%.

No problem and thank you for the correction! I love the patagonias as well, for price, weight, and upf they are hard to beat! I remember reading something about blocks 1/3 but turns out it was allows 1/30 or 3.33%. I'll remember that for next time!

What would be your suggestion for Thailand in February/March?

Linen all day! The Seagate is my favorite out of all of those for a t shirt, a button up might be nice for the extra breeze though. Oh, and pick up a Chang tank top at the market for a dollar :)

It's 95 degrees outside. Too hot to wear a shirt. You look better shirtless anyway.
