- You can stream the new, live-action Pinocchio movie starring Tom Hanks, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Cynthia Erivo on Disney Plus. Director Robert Zemeckis has helped bring to life legendary films like Back to the Future and Forrest Gump, so naturally, he would have his own unique way of getting things done. Tom Hanks definitely had his hands full while portraying the complex Geppetto. He really had to have his acting skills top-notch because most of the time he was doing the entire scene - that would have Pinocchio and other characters added in post - by himself. One of the key things that makes him such a talented actor was his ability to really believe he was looking at the character, when in fact, nobody was there. If it looked like he was looking through Pinocchio, for example, instead of at him, it would’ve made the whole scene fall apart. Another legendary performance brought into the mix was Joseph Gordon-Levitt voicing Pinocchio’s conscience, Jiminy Cricket. Robert Zemeckis really helped him hone in on the voice of Jiminy Cricket by utilizing the way Joseph reads to his kids at night. When it came to Cynthia Erivo performing the classic, “When You Wish Upon A Star,” Robert Zemeckis was completely blown away by her. He didn’t even need her to do more than one take! He is awful in this. You can tell he is acting to a blank screen with a terrible accent. Normally he is a very good actor though
Don't you remember Isaac Kappy who was killed. It was said Tom Hanks was a PED Pay attention Tom Hanks wants a real boy. After all the rumors that were going around he dares to make this movie. Funny thing his name is geppetto in this movie. The way he wished for the little boy in this movie is sus. Could have asked for a woman but he wanted a little boy. Tell me why the kids are going to a place called pleasure Island. They're being transported to the pleasure Island in the middle of the night by a man a old creepy man called The Coachman. Don't bring your conscience to pleasure Island is what they said. No parents in pleasure Island no rules is what they say. SMH lol
He is really a legend don't matter how the movie is ..just watch his character and get attached to him emotionally

Joseph Gordon Levitt doing the voice of Jiminy the cricket reminds me of Johnny Depp doing Willy Wonka. It's so hard to wrap around that those characters they're playing are those magnificent actors!!! Joseph Gordon Levitt is so underrated

The ONLY thing behind the scenes for this has to be a room full of kids with scribbling crayons. Appalling CGI from a business and industry leader that made its entire business from making toys appear human

I watched the movie without even watching the trailer and look for the casts. I was really shocked Tom Hanks is one of the main casts. When i heard the voice of Gepetto, i was like *i know this voice*, damn i was right. Props to the people who chose the great actor! And thank you Tom Hanks for accepting the role. He really portrayed it well.
Also, to the other casts, blue fairy and the voice actors, good job! 😊

When going on Disney+, just skip the remake as the original is already as perfect as it is, even right now.

@@marlablanco8853 there is a huge need to pretend this movie doesn't exist. It is just irrelevant and pointless, it doesn't even have anything to do with the original Pinocchio narrative. It's a huge and badly crafted cash grab.

Just watched the whole film. Absolutely magnificent. Well.. except of course the blue fairy. No offense she's very talented great singer and amazing actress, I just expected some blue eyed blonde and was very surprised to see who was given the role. All the characters match the visual looks of the original animated film except the fairy.
I feel like Disney wanted to break that “blonde fairy” stereotype which I surprisingly enjoyed nonetheless
@@danielarivera4412 well here they messed with the wrong character. There're classics you shouldn't touch. They could play this stereotype game with a film like Pocahontas I wouldn't mind. PINOCCHIO is just too precious.

Movie was good
This remake was a disappointment on sooooooooooooo many levels. They didn't even get the original morality play behind Pinocchio in the first place. This version had no arc nor any agency. Pinocchio was always a good boy and thereby had no real lessons to learn. In the original Disney animated film, he was naughty like kids can be and had to learn harsh lessons for his behavior. In this version, lying is actually beneficial. WTH?? The villains Stromboli and the Coachman were SUPER creepy in the original as well. You could tell they would cause you harm if you crossed them. Lampwick and the other boys' transformations into jackasses in the cartoon are equal parts tragic, scary and also horrific. It gets the point across with tough love that drinking, smoking, and wanton destruction are nothing to laugh about. As the Coachman screams in the original: "you've had your fun, now pay for it!"
Plot twist: Pinnochio is real and bully’s Tom Hanks because Woody better then him hehehehehehe 🔥

my favourite element in the pinocchio movie was just how much the characters looked liked their OG counterparts.
CGI was great but not the woke message unfortunately ignoring reviews won't make it go away unfortunately.
So offensive they didn’t get an actor of Italian decent to play Geppetto.

I’ll stay with the old cartoon one ! this movie was forgettable, and too many changes to the remake, especially the fairy and ending to the movie.
Pinocchio becomes real at the end. If you look carefully as Jiminy is narrating he becomes real ;)
