Love watching Americans come to Canada...so much fun to watch :-) Calgary was home for 20+ years for us. Howons around the corner from Silver Dragon is fantastic as well. Calgary has had so many different things since I left 10+ years ago. My son works as a police officer in Cardston, where you were in another video of yours. Other great places to eat in Calgary are Caesars Steakhouse and Coco Brooks for the best pizza in Calgary. I have a video on our channel from Calgary this year. We do a lot of videos in Eastern Canada. New subscribers here!
I just moved to Calgary in 2020 I haven’t been to many restos but big thumbs up and I guessing you guys stayed in the south east near Walden, that pub is near my cousins 👍
I believe the term All Dressed for chips comes from the term All Dressed for a type of traditional Canadian pizza from Montreal (i.e. cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms and green peppers). Note that All Dressed chips were developed by a potato chip company based in Montreal.
Yes guyyyys, loved this! Chris is so on your side about the ketchup crisps, you've got an ally over here 😂 Looking forward to your banff episode - it's way up top on my bucket list 😍
Well I haven’t been to Chicago, but “Chicago deep pizza” is a really good pizza joint in Calgary. I moved to Winnipeg 10 years ago and have been craving it since! Best of luck on your travels, I’m gonna subscribe! Found yourself a fan haha
Welcome to Calgary Just a little tip. The best way to eay ALL DRESSED chips is to dip them in sour cream Instead of going to Banff you should have gone to Waterton Park in the south west corner of Alberta Ots absolutely beautiful andu favorite place to go hiking
we will have to try the all dressed chips with sour cream next time we’re in Canada. And we did go to Waterton in our border crossing video. Super beautiful park and super windy!
Poutine originates from a restaurant formerly called Le Lutin quir rit in Warkwick in the Arthabaska region In Quebec Canada. It began in the 1950s. In Montreal there are many places to be sure. La Banquise is a very good place., among otheres. !!
Gotta try those when we’re back on the east coast! I’m not much of a huge sports guy anymore but I like watching here and there. But that’s dope! Barstool has some fun content
Hello you two 👋🏼 This was a very cool food review video! Being a carnivore, my vegetarian friends always throw shade at the phrase “humanly farm raised cattle”, and call it hypocritical, bec the animals are eventually slaughtered for our culinary enjoyment (they say what’s humane about that?)! I always shrug the criticism off, and continue enjoying my steak…just like you 👍🏼 I’m a HUGE Rangers fan, and was very sad that The Lightning beat them to get to the Stanley Cup Finals! Glad you got the chance to see one of the games Matt! Please stay safe on the road ok? 🍻✌🏼😎
If you head to the grocery store in Canada, try any of the loblaws family of stores, the president's choice brand is just like Trader Joe's house brand!
So a Caesar is not quite a bloody Mary with clamatto, the clamatto replaces the tomato juice, it's not both. It also usually has worcestershire sauce, pickle juice and Tabasco sauce!! Of course this is like chili, everyone has their own unique spin on it!
Cantonese is the predominant language of the Chinese community in Canada as the region of Canton is the origin of the Chinese community in Canada a century and more ago. Only some recent immigrants speak Mandarin.
That was a great food review video! All the food looked scrumptious! Who knew putting Clamato juice in a Bloody Mary was called a Caesar?! That’s how we always make them. I have to say your videos get better and better! Uhm Meghan … Chicago Blackhawks? 😂😂😂
Thanks for noticing Linda! We are working on making better content one video at a time lol. And yep I️ know no hockey teams 🤦🏻♀️ mmm Caesar’s are sooo goood
I apologize for Canada inventing the Caesar .. Clamato juice 🤢 But do try to find some Tiger Tail ice cream! Canadian invented and even we have trouble finding it. Hawaiian pizza is known over the world but also Canadian invented
We liked the Caesars! We’ll keep an eye out for the Tiger tail ice cream next time we go through. And we’re big fans of Hawaiian pizza! Had no idea it came from Canada though
Lol if you were feeling adventurous at the time I would have advised you to go to Northeast Calgary or Southeast and eat Pakistani style goat brain curry 😂. Those are the ethnically diverse sides of Calgary.
Kinda sad that the restaurant that invented Ginger Beef closed down in December (It was called Silver Inn). Owners wanted to retire. But yeah every Chinese restaurant in Alberta has Ginger Beef and the further from Alberta you get the less they know about it.
A drink and a meal! 🤩
The best combo!
I LOVE the million mile goal!! Great video! have fun
Thank you! We are already loving it
Oh my gosh! So much good food. The Cesar at Cleaver?! That was wild! Great video you two!

So refreshing to see someone who can actually cook a steak properly! Annnd the rest of the vid was cool too (obvs)
Haha thanks Dave it’s taken years of practice to perfect the steak 🥩

Are beaver tails similar to elephant ears at US fairs/carnivals? It looks yummy!
I️ believe so! That’s what someone said. We can only compare it to fried dough

Ah yeah thanks for explaining! We knew it’s not quite the same but close enough-ish to describe to to someone who hadn’t heard of it before
I hope u guys stocked up on Clamato juice before u left Canada!!

Ok let’s go
The problem with all chips, including ketchup, in Canada is that Lays put far too much seasoning on them, which makes them too strong.
I think we ended up liking the old Dutch brand the best
