- Today we're in Calgary, Alberta at Leopold's Tavern, doing battle with their infamous 'Punchbowl Poutine' challenge...
Historically, this was meant to serve four people, but Leopold's recently put up a post on social media saying that if any one person could finish this thing solo in one sitting, they'd get a polaroid on their wall of fame and a very cool t-shirt...you don't have to ask me twice...
4lb of fries, 1lb of cheese curds and an entire litre of gravy is what lies before us!

@@freeasabird30You are apparently unaware of how much more filling potatoes are, the starches and carbs of French fries fill people up faster than just eating meat by itself, which is usually why these competitors save the fries for last when they're included as part of a challenge that has other foods. Same goes for bread, they always eat the bread last since fries and bread fill you up so much faster. Watch more challenges and you'll see what I'm talking about 😁✌️

Gosh, I’ve never seen such a kind and polite food vlogger, it’s even better that you clean up after yourself, eat and leave without making a huge fuss while others would burp loudly and be rude and obnoxious.
I love the way he cleans his plate and eats the scrape, he even apologises when he messes up the table. His mum raised him right 😊
I think one of the sweetest things is that he also orders a dessert. I may be thinking a bit too much, but I think it's very sweet that he still gives some profit to the restaurants even though he wins :)

That is a LOT more gravy than the standard poutine I usually see. They practically drowned the fries and curds in it. It's almost a soup at that point.

In Quebec it really isn't unusual for them to serve it like that. It's pretty gross. Otherwise I'm impressed that they've got real cheese curds. Even more impressive that they're squeaky (which means they haven't been refrigerated!).

Dude just know, watching these have helped me out so much. I used to struggle hardcore with eating, when I watch these videos I just lose all sense of reality. Trying to clean bulk and maintain 200+lbs is pretty hard , especially with a diet of mainly turkey and chicken. Watching your videos I can take down anything. @@BrawndoQC its something about the gravy, most places out west here use English style thick gravy which is great alone on fries but too heavy for poutine. Its that nice chicken-pork lighter gravy that mixes perfectly with the curds and makes Quebec/East Ontario poutines the best.

Me too. Hes the only one who seems a genuinely really nice guy and treats everyone with respect and is often funny. Also, even though he almost always smashes the challenges, most of the time he's not off-putting to watch eat and I often watch while I'm eating as I like most of the food he eats and watching him eat tasty chips, gravy and cheese makes my boring sandwich taste better....well I'm distracted by tasty food.

@@robznarniiI think when you shovel down this much food in one sitting, a lot of it probably goes to waste (digestively speaking). The occasional 7 pound meal doubtlessly has less effect on your health overall than regular overeating in smaller amounts combined with an inactive lifestyle.

Leo's is a favourite across Canada for a lot of people. The atmosphere is just something else, and it's cool seeing friends and local legends up on the walls around the place. Glad you enjoyed it!
