Metallica's intros are as Mucha legend as the band is. The bass intro to for whom the bell tolls is awesome as fuck. James Hettfield to me is one of the best vocalist in metal
I fully agree to you.. but real truth behind this song is this : they wright this particular song because the band got robbed of the expensive musical instruments, one of them lost an amplifier that had sentimental value to him because it was a gift from his mother before she passed away the lyrics of song are explicitly sad because some of them were really thinking of suicide.. But the band got over and over the years For this particular song they received a lot of letters from fans all over the world mentioning this song help them get thru in life after many people lost or miss someone dearly to them..
❤!! Lars Ulrich (Founder)-- drums '81- current James Hetfield (Co-Founder)-- Vocals, rhythm guitar '81- current Kirk Hammet (Original Founder of the band Exodus)-- Lead guitar '83 - current Rob Trujillo-- Bass '03 - current Thank you! 👊🤘 P.S. Dig your HOG poster.
Bro, I grew up hearing Soul, Funk, R&B & Hip Hop. Back in 80' or 81' I made a few friends that were into Heavy Metal and invited me to see Metallica in San Francisco and I was hooked especially since this was a small night club so I was no more than 10' away from the band, This was the Kill 'em All tour then I went to the Ride The Lightning tour 84' in San Francisco's Japan Center. I didn't see them again for 35 years until 2019 S&M2.
Best metal band EVER!!!!!!!!!! They did a concert in Moscow in 1991, 1.3 million people attended….it was INSANE!!! UA-cam Metallica concert Moscow and just look at the crowd, it’s mind blowing Lars beats the hell outta them drums, he mastered the double bass method and said he can’t tour anymore because his body can’t do it, he uses so much energy when he plays that his body shuts down now
I think Metallica's lyrics get looked over sometimes, because of their crazy good musicianship. My brother drove me nuts playing their songs on the guitar. As I got older, I am SO glad he did. ❤🤘
Not sure the size of this concert but the Moscow '91 one was their biggest. It's actually still the 5th biggest concert in history. Behind some Rod Stewart ones or something.
Another great song to react to is the ONE video because of the story and video on top of the amazing music.but I personally recommend To Live is to Die and Dyers Eve. Harvested of sorrow,Master of Puppets,Trapped under Ice...the list goes on and on.😄🤗✌
Here is an interesting fact for you the lead singer his name is James Hetfield he taught himself to play guitar but also took piano lessons at the a young age like 9 or 10 somewhere around there
ADogg I been to a ton of concerts in my hay day but this is one band I never had the pleasure of seeing but I would have loved to for reals no doubt they are one Bada** band can't deny that 🥁🎸🥁🎸🥁🎵🥁🎸🥁🎸🥁💯✌️🤘🥁🥁
Need to check out the Day on the Green performance of For Whom the Bell Tolls. You haven't experienced the monster that was Cliff Burton yet and he shines on that performance.
You are right about lars!on them drums!! You got to hear all their stuff in the studio version !if you think they are playin the hell out of them insruments now,you will shit hearing recorded version with your headphones on! If you really want to rock ,check out "sad but true"!! You will love it !!!!!
I also think a lot hip hop artist sells themselves short by writing tracks for clubs and not arenas. Tracks that are meant for arenas sounds just as good in a club setting.
If you want one level darker, but arguably the greatest metal band of all time... you gotta review Slayer. Start with South of Heaven, Angel of Death, or Seasons in the Abyss. Nothing compares.
Please do (some suggestions); Metallica; -The Four Horsemen -Disposable Heroes -Welcome Home (Sanitarium) -Creeping Death -Orion (instrumental) W.A.S.P. - Wild Child The Last Command Cries in the Night Blind in Texas Jack Action Widowmaker Megadeth; Tornado of Souls My Last Words (you definitely need to pull up the words for this one) Ronnie James DIO; Holy Diver Hungry for Heaven Sacred Heart Rainbow in the Dark Children of the Sea Metal Church; Watch the Children Pray Method to your Madness Over My Dead Body Gods of Wrath Burial at Sea Iron Maiden; -Wasted Years -Stranger in a Strange Land -Run to the Hills Judas Priest - Heading out to the Highway - Some Heads are Gonna Roll - Turbo Lover Krokus; Screaming in the Night *Be sure to pull up the lyrics with each one. Metal is a form of lyrical art that is best appreciated when you analyze and understand the meaning of each song. IMO it’s best to start with studio versions, as some live versions are messed with by the bands and if you aren’t familiar with the song or it’s meaning, it can loose some of its ability to convey its true meaning/definition of the song when it’s done more casually in a live setting. Just a thought.. Best of luck in your metal journey!
@DaRealAdogg hey what type of music do You like the most? Metallica Does a ton of Symphony ,country, hard, heavy, slow,WAR, DEEP multi meaning, movie productions, killer live and tons of videos hard to decide lol
James Hetfield is the lead singer, guitarist and songwriter, an awesome kewl dude, often writing lyrics that relates to either his own life or allegory Lars Ulrich is the drummer, known mostly for making deals with record companies and other music companies to gain as much money as possible from sold albums, nothing wrong with making money in a capitalist world, what I mean is u are right, he is all about business :D
Dude. They have flooded stadiums for years since the Moscow thing. The people all over the world who have come to see Metallica since then would fill that Moscow stadium a million times. Sorry. Big fat Metallica fan.
If your going to react to Metallica live they all should have long hair. Long hair is when they were at their best. Clicked off because if I’m going watch and not waste my time I want them at their best and this is not that!
The older you get. The more understandable the lyrics gets
Absolutely 💯💯💖
And that they wrote it as kids makes it more amazing
I hope not. I heard it first when I was 17 and understood it totally. I am 55 now.
On spot, bro...
My all-time absolute favorite Metallica song, EVER!! It showcases each of their talents.
Metallica's intros are as Mucha legend as the band is. The bass intro to for whom the bell tolls is awesome as fuck. James Hettfield to me is one of the best vocalist in metal
Im not impressed with the vocals in this version though, its not his best.
Agreed, but they learned the art of the intro from Sabbath
Can't pick a fave Metallica song after 40 years of listening to them but this was one of the first to pierce my heart and will always live there.
No concert will ever be as big as Russia 1991. Long term history right there.
The studio version is worth a listen. They were young and angry and you could feel it.
This is an awesome live version, its hard to find live videos this crisp and clean.
I'm so glad you liked it because the lyrics are dark but the music is beautiful.
My favorite band plus I love watching/and listening to you because my southern accent sounds exactly like yours 😃
I'm so concert hungry, I can't wait to see them next summer.
❤!!
Lars Ulrich (Founder)-- drums '81- current

Five finger death punch wrong side of heaven.
James Hetfield front man... Lars Ulrich drummer. Both veteran badasses finishing there food on every song lol!!!
I didn't go to this concert. I saw them in Orlando, FL in and around 2002 and then I saw them in South Korea in 2017. Changed my life!
The played in Orlando Summer Sanitarium 2003.
@@thebikewatcher9819 Thanks for getting that for me. Why Google everything when you got Metallica peeps watching your back. 'Preciate ya.
Not sure the size of this concert but the Moscow '91 one was their biggest. It's actually still the 5th biggest concert in history. Behind some Rod Stewart ones or something.

I remember when they were at the Bonnaroo festival (not too far from me). I'd say there were 50k-60k at that concert.
Need to check out the Day on the Green performance of For Whom the Bell Tolls. You haven't experienced the monster that was Cliff Burton yet and he shines on that performance.
Metallica is the best.❤️

Metallica has 30 years of consecutive sold out stadiums. They never fail to sell out a concert!
You are right about lars!on them drums!! As for the question of how many, 3 died in the 1.3 million concert many others are full yet no deaths! Why is that?

Not sure how many were there but if I had to guess I'd assume between 40 and 70 thousand atvleast!
React to every song from their 2nd, 3rd and 4th albums. Then you can check out the rest.
You want to see our drummer Lars really getting down? How about you check out disposable Heroes live? Please

Metallica Brasil
😊👍
Watched ya thru to the end and glad to have you become a Lars Ulrich fan, he does wear out those drums, doesn't he?
I am amazed that you never reacted to any songs Pink Floyd 😳
Since you are listening to classics you really have to consider Pink Floyd!!!
Lars (drummer) is not human! 👊🤘
master of puppets
man, listen to the original tracks when you listen for the first time. these older replays dont compare
Great band. James Hetfield on vocal
Please do some Van Halen
They always seem to play this “too” fast - live 🤷🏻♂️
If you love guitar ,you need to try some megadeth
James Hetfield is the lead singer, guitarist and songwriter, an awesome kewl dude, often writing lyrics that relates to either his own life or allegory
Lars Ulrich is the drummer, known mostly for making deals with record companies and other music companies to gain as much money as possible from sold albums, nothing wrong with making money in a capitalist world, what I mean is u are right, he is all about business :D
Lars also plays a major role in song arrangements.
Dude. They have flooded stadiums for years since the Moscow thing. The people all over the world who have come to see Metallica since then would fill that Moscow stadium a million times. Sorry. Big fat Metallica fan.
Epic song about suicide.
why all rap fans that react to this stuff is crazy about drums?
Because they have never heard anybody play a live instrument before, maybe?
I'm sorry but, I use to tell my kids this band was the devil's music 🎵😂 I loved rap and r&b and didn't want them to listen to rock. It was a joke
Child abuse!!!
Lol 😉
This is not their best performance of this song live, the version on binge&purge has better vocals.
The studio version is better
