I think chatgpt violates the original intention of information sharing and creates information islands.
No. Websites are information islands. ChatGPT is a single continent. It's better if you need something fast and succinct (at the expense of it might be wrong). If you feel adventurous, you visit the islands.
I'm in favor of LLMs. I don't want to deal with ads, poor writing, bad UI, etc.
@@akinorehyou are correct sir!
it's interesting because chatgpt has to read those same websites to give us answers. So if people stop writing blogs chatgpt will not have new answers
@@Feronom Now AI can generate content without reading from sites
The LLM is stealing the blog data and using it to money. Either block the LLMs or LLMs should pay some money to the owner of the blog.
So....ChatGPT killed this Million-Dollar Business. Not Google. I'd say that blog creators have a pretty good argument about stolen revenue. But, I'd also say that maybe the content creators and the advertisers set themselves up for this by making websites borderline unusable with all the ads, pop-ups and rambling twenty paragraph introductions before getting to the actual point of the post.
True. Even before ChatGPT I stopped looking for results in Blogs. I just search in reddit for direct community answers.
StackOverflow was lifeline of Developers is now killed by coPilots and GPTs 😢
Legend are never die but season are changed
Stack overflow is still what we all use and love
LLMs can't replace the beast
Stackoverflow will never be replaced especially when new frameworks, libraries popped out. It's the go-to place for developers whenever these new tech tools produce bugs/errors. Also, ChatGPT's response are outdated.
@@mw_yt true. I use stack overflow everyday
Is there any statics on how chatGPT affected stackoverflow ?
I love you mosh you have helped me understand a lot of concepts
ChatGPT gotta give credit to the sources. Citing an article is a common and ethical practice.
AI is Learning, not copying
Ai traffic should be added to site traffic statistics
True
Thanks Mosh. I myself is creating blog like Web Application but Application also has actionable feature like practice multiple choice questions. Would you think having actionable features help?
I think OpenAI should provide an interface for bloggers to keep writing their blogs and there should be a means of compensating the bloggers in monetary form.
That way the bloggers are happy and the gpt model now has a source where it can learn from.
Exactly great idea
Google messed up everything for blog owners and also for themselves, they had so many demands for a blog to rank on top page that many blog owners had to write multiple length of intros, had to add bunch of stupid stuff before getting to the point, secondly there were so many articles you have to scroll before finding the answers.
Is there any statics on how chatGPT affected stackoverflow ?
Decimated
I think after this no need of statics but real world a lot of down fall of stackoverflow but people still using sometime.
I try to start my blog posts with a short version and then follow with a longer explanation. Its like the memes about cooking recipes, they start off with some long story about their lives and then finally give the recipe. So yeah, AI breaking all that fluff down is a good thing, and the way to counter that is to give a summary and then write your short novel to expand on it.
I don't like to use chatgpt b/c it doesn't cite sources. Even for a food recipe I would like to see the page the content was posted on. BTW. Mosh! I love your courses. I am a yearly member to your training material and by fair I enjoy your teaching style the best!
Copilot do that
@@Nigel_Nk +1, I use Copilot which gives you access to GPT-4 for free and it also cites the information it uses.
I've built my website with Hugo and while it was a bit frustrating to get everything working the way I wanted to, it's so nice being able to create a markdown file, do a build, a push and be done (my publish/ folder is the Github folder that hosts my static website)
ChaGPT told me I was the Prime Minister of Ukraine. That's when I stopped using it.
😂
🤣
Technical blogs will be still there but very common blogs will be disappeard soon.
The goal is accessing solutions
I think blogging is still going to thrive because perplexity is now a better option when it comes to searching for information
If some questions need to asked to stackoverflow and tend to ask the chatgpt, the it is going to stack, and answer a repetition response which is nothings
Why should I write free blog posts? The advertisement is the revenue that these AI's are stealing en masse.
That is a very good question.
Actually, it's the Sept 2023 Google HCU Algo update that changed all this.
Yeah blogs will disappear for sure
meanwhile stack overflow chiling
I think there should be some dedicated GPTs for each and every field where it consumes information from reliable sources, journals and research papers and give response in more simpler and common man readable way.
I think blogs would still be useful for news, how to use new tools, etc., because otherwise chatgpt would have no place for new information. If the reduction in visitors begins to be dramatic, I think Google should consider starting to increase the benefits of blog owners who provide new and updated content.
people do not write content for chatGPT, I personally banned all AI bots.
There might be a new blogging concept, in which our blog will be having a dedicated LLM integrated chatbot, trained solely on our articles using something like RAG approach, and maybe we'll create dedicate ChatGPT plugin for our blog. But, the thing is very low percentage of blogs are unique and less plagiarised, only these kindof real value-providing bloggers will be survivng this AI transition.
Public, free blogs will disappear. Then, as we have already seen with AI, AI answers will degrade.
The only way that a blogger will be able to produce income in the near future will be to do so behind a paywall. And even then only if other bloggers follow suit and use paywalls to protect their works from AI.
It will be the end of the internet as it once existed and a return to siloed/censored portals like AOL, Compuserve and Prodigy. Goodbye internet, nice knowing ya!
If there is no original content to steal from, chatgpt will cease to stop innovation
That's correct. But now will I keep writing content for the AI to keep making more cash for others.
I think the human made content will become more valuable in a future populated with IA, but that means we must become efficient as writers and learn the craft
I feel like tech industries are commiting sucide.
100% there will be something that will combine it
chatGPT with links and sources ... and ads on the side.
@swojnowski453 it will have to be more than that. People won't click them if the info is already in the chat. To make it work, it would have to open the page/s for you and guide you to the relevant content (scrolling, highlighting, narrating, etc) while having website ads.
Yes you are right, we are going to face new era of searching and getting info from browsing the web and I think in near couple of years we'll see new technology come to solve this issue in affecint why for the business and tech world and it'll be win win situation for both. Maybe it starts with voice send to an AI model. Like quick way to send and it'll be smart to not need any command prompt skills for normal users who need mid or low-level depth, Then it'll generate direct answers from data in other sites in matter of seconds with the ability to navigate sites fast, maybe they will bring part of the site as an img to show the exact part you need. It'll be like the read more button, but we still know that AI models are not that good to generate precise match in any kind of topic. Still, they will change a lot about old ways of SEO and listing sites they will come up with new names maybe like SEO for ai model X, and SEO fro this company and that company, we are moving slow but we'll like it in first then it'll a disaster for a lot of business...
There is a world of blogging outside of the technical things. I think, that part will stay the same.
moreover, there are people blogging anonymously from authoritarian states, blogging is their only way to say what's going on in there ...
One of the reasons you're not achieving the expected views is due to the practice of scheduling your videos as upcoming.
Consequently, by the time they are released, they have already descended in the subscription list for days, making them less visible to your audience.
Absolutely
I think social blogging still alive
Bloggers should work for the OpenAI company.
I think you asking your followers results in survivor bias data. A lot of searchers are resistant to change and will be using what they know. Most niche webites gone down in traffic and rankings in favor of better known brands. Even if the brand isnt an expert. Seo lies in diversification of traffic not only google
May be in future chatgpt learn from youtube videos rather then blogs.
AI learns from the Data it is being provided, especially chatgpt, they dont have access to internet, so blogging won't be dead, however Tech related blogs could be dead
if you are owner of certain technology and your blog and website is the only source on that tech, how is any LLM going to know what's going on around what you are doing if you stop you website? It is not going to happen. Tech website and blogging ain't going away. They are written for users, not for bots and will exist because they are the ultimate source of information on relevant topics.
@@swojnowski453 i appreciate your point, however the documentation of that technology would be enough for a model to respond, the point was models are trained on data provided, at the moment they dont have access to internet, so even if something is down, the data the model is trained on, it will still work 100%
@@user-vr4oo3jv9v quality of documentation differ a lot among projects. The best LLMs today can't solve some of maths problems from A-level books. You assume too much about their abilities.
I don't give a fuck how they learn, when the creators of these stupid AI tools don't reference content creators when their tools literally drink and spit the answers from their blog posts.
Nobody is seeing it now but just being gullible fools. These AI tools are violating the right to content of these hardworking people, and we are all watching it and saying ooh so cool.
I personally barely ever use them, save tabnine while coding.
We have to partner with ai It is far superior to blogging because it is at least in part working for you bloggers work for whoever pays or gives them free stuff money for nothing is blogger at least with music it is not as useful are selling crapp we don’t need
Feel not good to say this
However AI is growing day by day more than the limits we expecting
But my view is there is still be a unique value available for human mind
And AI Also need this for its growth
So blogging still have a value
Friends say your opinions about my comment....😊

Consider me a loyal subscriber. Your content is top-notch!
👍
People need to be careful: chat GPT is not always right about the information it gives.
Why would I use chatgpt when Google offers me SO MANY answers? Sounds like an Apple user, wanting only one answer.
Meta AI will most likely overthrow chat gpt
I really think you need to correct the title of the video, unless that is your intentional clickbait strategy. OpenAI !== Google.
Thanks for the suggestion! Will correct that!
People's don't waste always your time in that type stuff invest your Time to build something make money enjoy the Life manage your time learn from mistakes understand the mistakes I like mosh Content he create time investable content but for you buddy you have to make money for future
