Hi Mosh, I was a yearly subscriber to your platform, the problem I saw is that the help wasn't available as it should when a person get stuck, otherwise your coding style is great. Hope the forum thing will change this year so on some new deal I come back 😁
I'm a PhD student in materials science. I'm learning to code for the purposes of making and running simulations to inform my experiments. Most of my work revolves around Python, C++, Fortran, and of course, Bash.
I’m 30 years old and i have a degree in CS but didn’t get a job after completing my degree it’s been two years i have been jobless without any real life job experience i want to get a job and change my life
Mosh : Pick an instructor whose teaching style you like and dedicate yourself to actually finishing each course. Me who has picked Mosh but ain't able to afford his course: 😞😣
Your Django course helped me land a fresher position even though I only took Django courses 1 and 2. I didn't rate Django 3 highly, as it focused too much on tools and utilities that were difficult to remember. I hope you'll redo Django 3 and create a microservice course with Django. Thank you.
I am trying to land my first developer job... I was very frustrated until i saw your video. And your last sentence about landing first developer job seems very right to me nowdays.... thank you
Me too! I keep seeing these videos where people got jobs after a few months of learning and I've been at it for years. Wonder if anyone has been able to get their first developer job in 2023 or 2024? Is it possible?
I did everything wrong I guess. But technically I also didn’t try as much as I should. 5 years of coding and 2 years of start up experience with no pay and now back to being unemployed.
@@programmingwithmosh I was told by a career coach after a doing extensive coding classes for a few months that I should flip my current work schedule of 90% coding and 10% job prep / search to 90% job search and 10% coding, and that I should regularly go to coding meetups often in Washington DC. (^ Problem 1, whilst I had understanding of how to adapt to multiple technologies after having a general grasp of the foundations of JS, HTML, CSS, SQL and OOP after a few weeks of learning, I struggled to showcase that under pressure.) I had job searched for about 3-6 months of job hunting (2017-2018), clearing 50 applications a week. The applications were aiming for majority junior to mid positions, and even senior positions though not as heavily prioritized. I had one interview that was certain to hire me from a company named "example Global tech" that had written the offer up and was about to have me process the paperwork. At that point of processing the paperwork, they realized I have no degree, even the application had no mention of one as a requirement & that the whole interview process back and fourth did not mentioned it, till processing the onboarding of me as a new hire. Then they cancelled me. By that time I had ran out of money I had set aside to consistently pay for my travel expenses going to DC (4-5 days a week) to continue building network connections at the meetups and going to in person meetings, so I had to pick up a full time job again whilst dealing with some family health situations. At this point, I had reflected on all my notes that I had asked every interviewer for feedback on what I can improve on. Many said they weren't sure if I would be able to hit the ground running since I had no field experience, some said I had no experience with DS and algorithms (At that time DS and Algos were starting to appear in more job applications. CS was not at all emphasized at the coding program I was in.), lastly some had just said they're choosing to proceed with another candidate which is understandable. SO, being new to job hunting in a career field such as this, I had the responsibilities of a full time again & dealing with some emergency family health issues, I somehow thought that going to a part time bootcamp that taught CS with a friend whilst working would be good for the feedbacks that I received and fun as I enjoyed my last program. (Possible mistake #2? - My thought process? This bootcamp teaching CS and me capitalizing on my fundamental understandings of OOP, etc. would be good.) I had pretty much finished all the education materials and left the school as one of the students was actually a business major that started a startup company. He asked me to join since he thought I was the most capable out of the other students of our current class. He said he only joined the bootcamp to learn coding since he had issues hiring a coder that didn't slack or communicated. The startup proved to actually be profitable, enough to pay for operations. So all the actual founders and me were not actually making money still as whatever profits went directly to lower level retail employees to keep the operations going or expanding. I decided to do my own thing after 2 years as that was my limit. Now since then, job hunting seems to be even harder with the requirements mainly leaning towards more senior positions, though I'm still applying anyways. I have no portfolio since even the work that I had done for the startup was a in house operation that was NDA. My original portfolio is old, outdated expectations, and was clearly a representation of a very new person coming into web development. I am now in a position where I am just applying whilst trying to build a portfolio again, in a job market for devs that seems to be tougher than the last attempt at job hunting. I feel defeated as I am trying to get a foot in the door but due to more life concerns of housing I am probably just going to have to suck it up and find a better or more demanding full time job that pays more since housing seems to be worse in my area, which is just normal things to worry about and it is what it is. I just don't know how all this stretched out for years.

Thanks a lot! now I am feeling motivated again to restart. actually I am just finishing my Higher secondary school exam after 2 years drop but hardly wants too learn Software development and land my first job quickly. I hope I can make it real very soon.
Im studying informatics since 24 years now. I tried literally everything including Mosh videos, Bachelor, Master, Plenty of Udemy Videos, countless hours projects and applies for a job. All I managed was 5 interviews from which I was rejected. I applied for 2.500 jobs for real! Alone and with help of many prof.. covering whole Greece and Germany
Hi Mosh! Thanks for sharing your ideas to us. I'm currently working as an Senior Implementation Engineer II and I have 6+ years of experience in application and customer support. I have so much interest to become a Data Scientist. As a first step, I started learning Python from scratch by watching your 6 hours python class video. In fact, I have basic skills in SQL. I know it's a long way to go. I like to have a roadmap to understand the path better and learn in depth to become a Data Scientist. I'm happy to have your advices and thoughts in this regard.
i learn the most when applying to jobs 😅 once i have a job i dont have time.. getting rejected while you're constantly improving and learning is the best way to learn - especially the harder things
Mosh, I always learn technical skills watching your videos. Could it be possible for you to make a series of video on relevant topics on AWS real time Projects to get a entry -level "Cloud engineer" jobs . Also, if you can teach those projects, how to build those projects, where we can add our own stuff to make it authentic at the same time learn the stuffs how to do it. And be ready for interviews.
To be honest mosh one hr vidoes is more engaging than the fulll course i tried your react but never its was really hard fr me.. those class based vidoes is waste of time .. but i can say...when i start a beginner mosh bro vidoes boosted my confidence i believe finding right ✅ source of learning is difficult when it comes to framework these tutorials vidoes mostly comes with bugs
*I'm watching Your Python Course of 6 Hours and Near to end that video. It help me a lot to get some basic Python projects done, Thanks Brother.* _From Pakistan 🇵🇰 ❤_
Mosh , am coming from non IT background. Jugling with work and family Am already half way into your 6 hr python course after 4weeks and am writing this comment as a reminder to myself in December 2024 . after the 6 hr python course I want to purchase the 12 hour course to master python. I aim at machine learning and building Trading bots. Watch the space.
The most difficult part I am currently struggling with is to get a call for the interview, though I too training to become a full stack web developer. Not getting positive responses from 100s of applications for an entry level position is upsetting. Not sure if they don’t like my resume !! I also didn’t see much entry level job openings in the last few months. I do have a bachelor degree in Economics and minor in Computer Science.
Hi mosh, my name is madhu sudhan I completed to learn java, DSA, design patterns and git in your courses and excellent teach. But I fully struggle to solve DSA problems and it's very time consuming in leet code. In leet code thousands of problems and so many topics like backtracking, dynamic programming, bit manipulation, sub array, two pointers, sliding window,, 😂😂 when I perfect. Please give me road map to solve leet code problems.. please replay fast.
Thank you sincerely Mosh for these amazing videos. I am a beginner interested in purchasing your courses. But I want to dive into backend development. Should I pick Python, JavaScript, or Java as my first programming language? Any intake on this?
Mosh, Your videos are awesome but we need tips on how to learn Javascript to reach the good level because some times you learn basics like data types and control flows, but some of us don't get how to apply them so as to build Proffessional projects so help us make a video on that and also tell us how much JS is needed to learn Frameworks. If you find my comment required give a like
"even without a degree" In my own experience, a CS degree ain't shit. It literally not only teaches you nothing relevant but also slows down the whole process of learning. So, "self taughts" are inheretly better
Hey Mash, I have been trying to research on Google the difference between a software engineer and a software developer in terms of their roles in a company and I am not getting a clear cut. Would you kindly explain Since you have around two decades experience as a software engineer.
I wanted to make mobile apps. And do not know where to start as i already on your python course. But it is look like i am missing something and feel hard to understand. Please suggest me . Waiting for response. Thanks
Hae I'm Collins a second yr student though not in computer field but I gain interest in your html and css tutorial. Have learned for about 3months, could give me some follow up kindly sir
Hi Mosh and everyone. I want to become a data scientist, and I already know python and sql on a decent level, but it seems like it would take a whole lot more to actually land a job as a DS. Do you think it would be a good idea to start with a different role that has a "lower bar"? It feels like it will take me another couple of years to get to the right level for DS, but maybe not that much with some other role.
Hi mosh , I have been searching a course on Aws cloud its either too long or not good enough in explaining. Can you please make a course on AWS since its one of the thing in demand... please
I am an International student in Canada studying Business Administration and I am doing well. I studied Python Programming in my high school for 2 years and learned basic concepts and later I completed two online courses for beginners and intermediate level. But after that my progress was stopped as I was not getting into practical work and got frustrated. I took a break and then I started watching your videos and now my question is how to proceed forward and which are the areas and concepts I should focus on to combine my skills and get into the data analyst field. Please reply to my question as I am pretty sure that you have the solution for my problem.
Thank you mosh for this content. Would you kindle send the link to those github profiles you've been showing on the video. i'd would really love to go through them

i learn the most when applying to jobs 😅 once i have a job i dont have time.. getting rejected while you're constantly improving and learning is the best way to learn - especially the harder things
This was the video I needed to watch. Thank you, Mosh!
Are you from non-IT
Same, I'm currently 17 years old. Just trying to get into the field. I already have like 4 years of programming.
bro you are too ahead of your time.(its good)
You are too early. Need more play time bro😂
nice
Am proud of you
just keep going bro
this was in 2021, good luck in 2024. You need to bring a lot more to the table. You can do it but expect to put down 2 years atleast
Thanks Mosh you are the best
We need a react course please🙏🙏🙏
Wise words❤❤
I started at the end of December, I’m learning react right now and preparing my portfolio
So, how much time did it take you to learn react , and separately how much to master it, your reply would help a lot as I'm currently learning it.
ما شاء الله
جزاك الله خيرا وبارك فيك ❤
مرحبا 😅 لم اتوقع ان هنالك عربي غيري يتابع هذه القناة

Greetings, just wanted to ask what about experience? Companies require software engineers with at least 2 to 3 years of experience. What about that?
Mosh, Thank you for this Educative Informations
Thank you dear mosh

Thank you sincerely Mosh for these amazing videos. I am a beginner interested in purchasing your courses. But I want to dive into backend development. Should I pick Python, JavaScript, or Java as my first programming language? Any intake on this?
How this AI issuse is get more advanced, will it not reduce tech companies from employing more software developers ?
Mosh, Your videos are awesome but we need tips on how to learn Javascript to reach the good level because some times you learn basics like data types and control flows, but some of us don't get how to apply them so as to build Proffessional projects so help us make a video on that and also tell us how much JS is needed to learn Frameworks. If you find my comment required give a like
What are the things to keep in mind when drafting your CV. I've never gotten a call back and I feel like that's why
Thanks Mush.
"even without a degree"
In my own experience, a CS degree ain't shit. It literally not only teaches you nothing relevant but also slows down the whole process of learning. So, "self taughts" are inheretly better
How to know at what topics of a particular programming language iam weak at after learning for some days ?
I’m struggling to find an internship.
Me too. I hope anyone here can help with a remote internship.

Hello Mosh !! Love ❤ from India .
thanks mosh
We want a jetpack compose course!!!

Good video!
