- OpenAI and Google are fiercely competing in the AI industry, with recent developments highlighting their differing strategies and advancements. OpenAI's GPT-4 Omni, known for its integration of text, vision, and audio, is setting new standards, while Google focuses on practical applications with their Gemini 1.5 Pro and new hardware like Trillium TPUs and Axion CPUs. This ongoing AI battle showcases innovative technologies and significant breakthroughs from both tech giants, keeping the industry and audience captivated.

Reality is that OPENAI is far a ahead of any other tech companies.
OpenAI must WIN. No more monopoly.
Alta vista and Infoseek were ahead of everyone in search a long time ago.
Google had the most data. Realize after a full year of ChatGPT integrated with BING search engine, they have not gained a single percentage point in new users. What does that say?
@@HappyestMomentsNo how about we can be friends already!
So true
Everyone bitches about Google reaches places using Google maps!
I am sure Google will catchup and emerge as a winner! Remember, this is a long game!
OpenAI will become MySpace within 2 to 3 years.
Open ai🎉
google is floundering , open ai is still on top and I am excited that apple is going to team up with open ai for the smarter siri and ai features coming with ios 18 !
Apple is actually teaming with Google, not open ai.
Open AI is winning hands down. GPT-4o will go down in history as being the thing to popularise AI to the masses. However... its not just a pretty face. GPT 4o has some seriously powerful features that were never even mentioned in the Announcement. Its actually quite astounding that no one is really talking about it. Open AI just changed the game forever... Google with all its half baked features is left in the dust.
Don't forget DeepMind comes under Google which is the true Pioneer at AI.
we want gpt 4 o , on iPhone no gemini 👍
@@a-terrible-fate532It seems to me that get-4o is the model that Apple will be using. With the demo from open ai being exclusively using Apple products and the desktop app only being released for the Mac(for now) this, to me, is a clear sign that open ai that they agreed to a deal with Apple requiring that these exact conditions must be met. Also, the comment from open ai regarding eminent news in the near future looks like it plays into the timing of Apple’s WWDC in June.
Doubtful OpenAi will win much. Google always plays the long game, never first to anything. They piggy back off new ideas, making them better and more relevant. And of course they have the lions share of data with customer reviews of businesses, products, restaurants, UA-cam reviews, mapping, etc. They are the de facto standard of a digital yellow pages that guides most business connections and decisions. OpenAI will never be able to compete with this. Microsoft tried with spending over a billion on Bing and could not make one percentage point difference in market share after a whole year of ChatGPD integration.
Who’s going to win this race?
GOOGLE hands down. The one that controls the most data wins.
@@cobaltsystems1what about if people think Google are greedy and want Open to balance things out ?
So in your opinion 90% voted it better or did I miss where you included the actual vote?
OpenAI
i love open ai much better, especially with he realism, but google went with the most utility approach which your average person will use and doesn’t seem to be niche, both has their pros. but i think google with be more grounded. Openai will create competition and google will perfect it.
You can't actually use the google products though, because it refuses everything and insults you
translator is winner
I honestly can’t see the difference between the limited edition of ChatGPT 4o and their previous iteration of 3.5. You can’t use the multimodal features, and it still gets facts wrong. I found it quicker than Google search when you can’t figure out those tip of the tongue things that you’re struggling with, but that was about it. I haven’t tested it with any math because I don’t really use anything beyond basic arithmetic. It wasn’t any good with language. I spoke to it in very simple German (after preparing it with a prompt telling it I was going to speak German, and I wanted it to translate) and it I thought I was speaking Chinese. The demo video showcased a very realistic voice that sounded like someone on the other end of the phone. It was less formal than 3.5 and very human. The limited version sounds exactly the same as 3.5, even when prompted to act like the other voice on the demo video. No change at all that I can see.
Given that, saying it is “free“ is misleading. From what I can see what we got isn’t that great. I’m certainly not gonna pay $20 a month for the upgraded version just so I can test out all of the things I saw on the video. I don’t know many people who would. I don’t even know that they can give me what’s in the demo video. They promised it, but they ended up not giving me hardly any of it for “free”, and what I got was distinguishable from 3.5. I still don’t know how well it works. I have to trust the demo video.
There is way too much hype with all these new AI rollouts. Boston Dynamics shows us this fantastic version of their “new“ robot that has scary and cool features. The video is a mere 10 seconds long, looks like it could’ve easily been a digital rendering, and we have seen nothing of this wonder robot since then.
And to hear the public intellectuals and tech celebrities tell it, we are constantly on the verge of Utopia or dystopia.
I’m getting tech fatigue.
Open AI is the winner for me, plus the idea by Sam Altman of a universal basic compute is a cool idea to use, resell, or donate. Google, on the other hand, doesn't have any type of universal basic idea for people. OpenAI has better things to offer.
AI companies may be thinking that users will use only their product, but reality is that users will use many at the same time, depending on their needs.
Merci 😊😊😊

I believe that OpenAI delivers a single groundbreaking update at a time and focuses on enhancing it, while Google releases numerous updates, but the impact of each update is diluted due to the sheer volume of them.

I need Google's real life practical applications. Help me with my business work and personal life. I don't need a personal assistant with a Cali girl voice to read me a bedtime story
GPT is just smarter. Plain and simple. I use it for deep analysis of long term legal issues. Very complex and nuanced. And Gemini always makes big mistakes. And I just can’t trust it.
GPT blows it away. Very few mistakes.

Google is a mess of hundreds of half baked stuff that mostly sounds great but never makes to the market
Please no more Monopoly!❤
