Led Zeppelin disbanded after the death of drummer John Bonham in 1980. This was a one-off concert in December 2007 honoring their deceased mentor Ahmet Ertegun (and besides their notorious Live Aid-Performance their one and only gig together as Led Zeppelin). Many fans hoped on a Reunion-Tour after that succesful concert but hopes were not fulfilled. So - yes, many fans experienced Led Zeppelin live for the first time. On drums, by the way, Jason Bonham - son of John Bonham. You've seen him playing Stairway to Heaven with Ann and Nancy Wilson at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2012
YEAH, I ONE OF THEM 20 MILLION WHO TRIED. I'M STILL TIGHT ABOUT THAT SHOW. I'VE MET ROBERT WHEN STAYED HERE ON NEW YORK. SEEN HIM 2 YEARS AGO IN CONCERT IN QUEENS. THAT SHOW WAS FIRE!!!!
Jason has said that Robert, Jimmy, and John Paul, are his three uncles who were always there for him after his father died. Robert wrote this epic song when the group was in Morocco. It was enjoyable watching Jimmy giving Edge (U2) and Jack White a tutorial on how the music came into existence, including the riff that drives the entire song. This is saw talent. No auto tuning, overdubbing, or fancy doohickeys on the computer, but Robert’s incredible vocals and power.
That guy killing it on drums is legendary Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham's son Jason Bonham of Bonham, UFO, Black Country Communion, California Breed, Sammy Hagar & The Circle.
People often ask why the 70's and 80's were so great, this my friend is the reason why. Talent not manufactured but real pure bred talent. Dam I miss those times. Thanks Suzi and Travis for this, rock on mate.
Once a great band, ALWAYS a great band 😂😂😂😂, the chemistry was still there nearly thirty years later. My friend was at that gig at the O2 in 2007 and he said he'd never seen so many people crying with joy, 18,000 tickets 20 million applicants 😮😮😮😮
EPIC Led Zeppelin. Is it any surprise that this band has been relevant since 1968? Even since the passing of Bonham in 1980, they're still at the top of the charts.
As old as they were here...STILL THE GREATEST! I tried to get a ticket...hah! 20 million tried too! Jason Bonham did his daddy proud! Zeppelin boke up in 1980 when John Bonham the drummer died.
There is something that is very "base" about a good rock performance. This is one of them. Don't tell me these guys didn't rock your pants off! From the very first note to the very last - everything was deliberate, every note has intent, with the sole purpose of rocking everyone's ass off. What a performance. This is the concert where Tommy Lee said if you close your eyes and listen, you can hear John Bonham coming through his son's playing. Amazing!!
I've been waiting for you guys to do this reaction forever. This is better than the album and better than any live performance I've ever seen from Led Zeppelin. Thanks all!!
So many things about this performance are epic... One off reunion concert in aid of Ahmet Ertegun... The way John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham look at each other and keep the back line tight just like John Paul Jones and Jasons dad John did back in the day.... Jimmy being master of the understated... lol... and Robert, f..k, what a voice at 59 years old...!!! I've seen them live in a 3,000 seater in Glasgow in 1973 and can still remember the ringing in my ears. And this version of the song make my eyes a little damp when I realise just how lucky I was to have grown up on the '60's and '70's. Everything after stands on the shoulders of so many giants. WHO COULD PLAY AND SING LIVE..... Keep on Rocking
John Paul Jones the master , if you watch closely he is planning the base line with his foot pedals thru the keyboards , in other songs he reverses this plays the base line with the guitar and the keyboard lines thru his foot pedals.
I missed the Led Zeppelin train in the 70's but I got to see Robert Plant in concert in the early 90's. It was one of the most amazing moments of my life; to stand in the presence of a living god.
I saw Led Zeppelin in 1974, Page and Plant in 1994 (went with the same guy!), Robert Plant in 2009, and Robert Plant with Alison Krauss in June 2023. The most recent concert featured a fabulous rendition of Gallows Pole. I believe it's available on UTube.
I too missed the 70s but was lucky enough to see Plant and Page on their No Quarter tour mid-90s. It was one of the highlights of my decades long love of live music. Closest I could get to my favourite band, it was indeed standing in the presence of gods!
For historical context, this is considered one of the true crowning achievements of rock. If you really dive deep into this track, you will understand the complex arrangements by John Paul Jones, the different time signatures, and the complexity in the guitar playing. This was truly a monumental moment in rick history. And of course Robert Plant's vocals are just off the charts incredible.
Something to remember when watching this song. The band themselves always considered this their opus. Both Plant and Page have commented how much it scared them when it came together, it was just so good. And the keyboard player (John Paul Jones) is playing the grinding base line with his feet while doing everything else. And it has no keyboard or guitar solo in it.
This is why they are the Freakin GOATS OF GOATS! 😉🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 DONT forget, this was 20 some years since the disbanded! That’s Bonzos son on the skins!
This performance is beyond words. I think it’s the single greatest performance I’ve ever seen. The way Robert manipulated his voice is awe inspiring. The greatest rock band ever.
Such an amazing band an so nice to see Jon Bonham son Jason on drums. 1 of my fav songs from led zeppelin. So happy to of been a teen at the time, still has the same effect being a 66 nearly year old woman. Just blows your mind. Xxx ( keep up.the fantastic job your doing just luv your reactions. Xxx
Quite possibly my all time favorite Zeppelin song. Bought "Physical Graffiti" back in high school in '75. Robert has said he'd rather be remembered for this than "Stairway to Heaven". I agree. If you've seen "Godzilla", with Matthew Broderick, it's playing when their dumping fish around a manhole trying to catch it.
Many Many years ago Robert plant was in Sydney. I was a kid but I knew he was big deal stuff the way my parents were carrying on ( long time fans ) anyway little 10 year old me just walked up to him smiled, he smiled back and it was so frigging epic it's still going as a proud esteem stride I started taking a long time ago. Top man top memory !!
You can see that Jason Bonham really had the Time of his Life ! He said after the concert that he never felt more closer to his late Dad , the G.O.A.T John Bonham ( the original drummer of the band ) , than during playing this song ...
I can't imagine how utterly sensational it must have been for you Donna 😊 even though I've only ever watched the gig on my TV screen, the energy and passion just jumps out and really grabs me every single time. Keep rocking ❤️
The guy playing drums is Jason Bonham, son of the original drummer who died in 1980 and considered by most to be one of the greatest drummers. The young man was embraced by the remaining members. More Zeppelin please.
Nearly 50 years later and they still sound the same. Robert still sings the same.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤nice to see Bonzos son stepping up for him. RIP John Bonham ❤
I grew up with Led Zeppelin songs ringing in my ears... this song is very special to me and to see them come back with the Celebration Day concert just ROCKS! I love Robert Plant, and Jimmy Page is my favorite guitarist of all time. I love Led Zeppelin!!
So, I've seen zeppelin live quite a few times and am very grateful for that. Was nearly impossible to get tickets to this show the band had not played together in 20 years and this was a show for ahmet ertegun, the legendary cofounder of Atlantic records and a great friend to the band. ''That guy'' on drums is Jason Bonham, the son of the legendary John Bonham, playing on his dad's drum kit. I believe, and it's only my opinion, this was one of the greatest concerts they ever performed. Over 20 million people attempted to get tickets.
Best band of all time. They still give me goose bumps all these years later! And they were all in their 60's at the time of this concert (except Jason on drums)!
Ozzy guitarist, Black Label Society singer, guitarist/Pride & Glory singer, guitarist Zakk Wylde said that his nephew told him he needed to hear the new Puff Daddy song (which sampled this). Zakk Wylde said to his nephew, "Hey a**hole, that's Led Zeppelin!" LOL 😂
Oh I so remember buying this CD/DVD set , sitting in my living room with my big arse TV Bose surround sound speakers-and a glass of wine having a close up encounter with the mighty Zep ! 😎❤️
"Kashmir" Oh, let the sun beat down upon my face With stars to fill my dreams I am a traveler of both time and space To be where I have been Sit with elders of the gentle race This world has seldom seen Talk of days for which they sit and wait All will be revealed Talk and song from tongues of lilting grace Whose sounds caress my ear But not a word I heard could I relate The story was quite clear Oh, oh Oh, oh Ooh, baby, I been flying No yeah, mama, there ain't no denying Oh, ooh, yeah I've been flying Mama, mama, ain't no denying, no denying Oh, all I see turns to brown As the sun burns the ground And my eyes fill with sand As I scan this wasted land Trying to find, trying to find, where I've been Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace Like thoughts inside a dream Here is the path that led me to that place Yellow desert stream My Shangri-La beneath the summer moon I will return again Sure as the dust that floats high in June When moving through Kashmir Oh, father of the four winds, fill my sails Across the sea of years With no provision but an open face Along the straits of fear Oh, oh Oh, oh Ooh Oh, when I'm on, when I'm on my way, yeah When I see, when I see the way, you stay-yeah Ooh, yeah-yeah, ooh, yeah-yeah, when I'm down Ooh, yeah-yeah, ooh, yeah-yeah, but I'm down, so down Ooh, my baby, ooh, my baby, let me take you there Oh come on, oh, let me take you there... let me take you there Ooh, yeah-yeah, ooh, yeah-yeah, let me take you there... let me take you there
Do not use Puff Daddy in the same sentence as Led Zeppelin!😮 (love you guys)
LMAO 🤣😂🤣!!! I totally agree 💯
💯 agree
Thank you 😅
I barfed in my mouth.
Jimmy Page played this in both Songs
First time in over twenty years, all three founding members performed on stage... Jason Bonham playing his fathers drum kit, and killing it...

I have seen Jason Bonham do the Led Zeppelin experience which was the opening act for Heart
Close, but Live Aid wasn't the one and only, this same lineup performed as Led Zeppelin for the Atlantic 40th anniversary in 1988 as well.
@@JosephSterle yep. Both performances were sh*t, so Page, Plant, & Jones went into this concert with the mindset "Let's make this one good"
Jason is killing it on his father's drum set, John is looking down and has to be so proud!
This is from a one-off comeback show in 2007. Over 20 million people tried to buy tickets to this gig.
Including me. Twice. I lived in London at the time, crazy times.
Yeah. Think it set a world record.
Me included...I didn't get one. I live in the US and was going to travel to London for it 😢
@@alifhashim3752it did!
YEAH, I ONE OF THEM 20 MILLION WHO TRIED. I'M STILL TIGHT ABOUT THAT SHOW. I'VE MET ROBERT WHEN STAYED HERE ON NEW YORK. SEEN HIM 2 YEARS AGO IN CONCERT IN QUEENS. THAT SHOW WAS FIRE!!!!
On vocals 59 year old Robert Plant, on keyboard 61 year old John Paul Jones and on guitar 63 year old Jimmy Page in 2007.
JIMMY! 🥰🥰
And sounding better than bands half their age. Zeppelin giving a class.
Props To Zep who let Jason play for his dad
Jason has said that Robert, Jimmy, and John Paul, are his three uncles who were always there for him after his father died. Robert wrote this epic song when the group was in Morocco. They are fully invested in this performance. R.I.P. John Bonham one of the best ever.
Wow, Zeppelin show just how great they are! Plants vocals are amazing.
Led Zepplin are in the guiness book of records for the most people applying for the re union 20 million people applied for tickets
That guy killing it on drums is legendary Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham's son Jason Bonham of Bonham, UFO, Black Country Communion, California Breed, Sammy Hagar & The Circle.

Yeah me too....❤ 70 now but still back there in the 70's in spirit....blessed times
Hats off to Jason !!! His dad would be so proud ❤❤
Love this video. It is great to see that the drummer, Jason Bonham, is the son of the original drummer John Bonham.
Jason Bonham is fabulous on drums, just like his Dad John.
Jason is the only logical choice to replace his father on drums for Led Zeppelin
You remember this riff from a rap song?? That’s so sad.
It was for the Godzilla movie
Yep
That’s “ I heard it in a love song”. Check it out, give it a listen!
Once a great band,
ALWAYS a great band 😂😂😂😂, the chemistry was still there nearly thirty years later. My friend was at that gig at the O2 in 2007 and he said he'd never seen so many people crying with joy, 18,000 tickets 20 million applicants 😮😮😮😮
EPIC Led Zeppelin. Is it any surprise that this band has been relevant since 1968? Even since the passing of Bonham in 1980, they're still at the top of the charts.
such an immense sound with only 4 musicians!! EPIC.
Four on stage only three playing, sounds like 20 people. Amazing
✌️❤️🎶🎵
As old as they were here...STILL THE GREATEST! I tried to get a ticket...hah! 20 million tried too! Jason Bonham did his daddy proud! Zeppelin boke up in 1980 when John Bonham the drummer died.
JPJ so discret and however so important keyboard sound!!!!
SOOO underrated!
He is managing 2 types of keyboards with different sounds and with his feet the bass!!!!! He is a Prodigy!
There's nothing more that you can say really except WOW

Absolutely incredible performance! 👏🤘
So happy to see Jason get to sit in for his dad with Zeppelin while the band could still play at a high level, absolutely awesome!
Saw Led Zeppelin perform this song in May of 1977 for my 18th birthday. Sounded great then and some 40 years later! Still the rock band in history!
The best band EVER!!!
Led Zeppelin. Proper rock band. "Simply the best".
What an epic performance!!! Damn!! He nailed it. By the way, it's Robert's favorite track.
After all these years (yeah, I'm old) this is still epic ... **no words **

Yes! I’m always so excited to see Reactors watch this performance!
I saw Zeppelin live in 75!!!! Best concert I ever saw
I passed up an opportunity to see them in 1970. Still regretting it. 😭

HIs voice is actually better now than when that song was recorded. Genius, legend, class Robert Plant the drums well no word apart from amazing
I was only 14 when my 3 cousins said they had an extra ticket to see Zep in 1977. Yes kids-GIANTS have walked the earth. 🤘🏼❤️👍🏼
This is just epic my no 1 song from LZ legends

JPJ, so underrated. 2 keyboards and his feet playing the bass lines on bass pedals at the same time making such a big sound even bigger. Great stuff.
You guys could only wish you were at this concert ! I WAS!! PHENOMENAL!!! 👍👍👍❤️🥰
I can't imagine how utterly sensational it must have been for you Donna 😊 even though I've only ever watched the gig on my TV screen, the energy and passion just jumps out and really grabs me every single time. Keep rocking ❤️
20 million request to get tickets to that concert. They are the greatest.
Great to see this wonderful DVD of Celebration Day...Jason Bonham was excellent!
I've been a Led Zeppelin fan since 1969 when their first album came out and I'm still a fan
My favorite song Led Zeppelin, genial classic song.
Every living member of led zeppelin has said that to them this is the song that they want to be remembered for
Yep we might be older, but we still got it. That’s Led Zeppelin.❤
The guy playing drums is Jason Bonham, son of the original drummer who died in 1980 and considered by most to be one of the greatest drummers. The young man was embraced by the remaining members. More Zeppelin please.
Legendary!! One of the best riffs in rock history!
Jason Bonham did his dad proud playing in his place that day, RIP the GREAT John Bonzo Bonham.
I am in awe of their total brilliance. Hats of to Jason too.
Phenomenal performance of a phenomenal song!
Nearly 50 years later and they still sound the same. Robert still sings the same.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤nice to see Bonzos son stepping up for him. RIP John Bonham ❤

Awesome. My number one favourite track of all time. Only one thing wrong, not long enough!
Kids, Led Zeppelin is the greatest band in the world.
So, I've seen zeppelin live quite a few times and am very grateful for that. Great reaction! Not bad for a bunch of old dudes.
Robert has said many many times that this is the song he wishes to be remembered for 🌟 8.34 minutes musical perfection
Never gets tired…amazing! One of, if not the, greatest bands in rock history IMHO
What magnificence ! this is what it's all about.
That performance is hard to surpass
Awesome Jason Bonham playing drums, this song use in movies, awesome jam 🍿🎥👏😎👏
Looks like you guys are having a “stoned cold picnic” while watching Led Zeppelin….a great experience.
All hail the GOAT's .......🤘🙏🙏(nice work Jason..)
That's the Best of the Best right there! Crank it UP!
I love so many Led Zeppelin songs but musically-instrumentally-this is just the best. The music just undulates through your head. It’s magical.
Awesome ❤
The epic journey that is Kashmir always brings a tear to my eyes
Just killing it.....Pure power
Love Led Zep and just find their work, mesmerising!
WOW every time I see this looks like Jason is channeling his DAD on drums
Love watching you two react! Great chemistry together! 😊
The look Travis has at the end of the song says it all👍🙏.
This was, for all intents and purposes, the last flight of the great Zeppelin into immortality. Well done, gentlemen, that's the style.
THIS is the music that your Grandparents grew up with! THEY were the COOL ONES!
Oh I so remember buying this CD/DVD set , sitting in my living room with my big arse TV Bose surround sound speakers-and a glass of wine having a close up encounter with the mighty Zep ! 😎❤️
Great reaction. I love watching people in awe while they’re watching this performance.
Indeed, my frown is now upside down.
Jason Bonham is the drummer, taking over for his dad, John.
Watch Plant in the early 70’s. You won’t be able to take your eyes off him! Yum!
The GOAT!😎
These gents were in their 60's during this reunion concert. Unbelievable.
When this one off reunion show was announced, there were over 20 MILLION ticket applications……
Love your enthuzuim , this is plants favorite, he sick of stairway & pushing 70 years old in this
I play this loud every morning to get me movin! Love it.
"Kashmir"
Oh, let the sun beat down upon my face
With stars to fill my dreams
I am a traveler of both time and space
To be where I have been
Sit with elders of the gentle race
This world has seldom seen
Talk of days for which they sit and wait
All will be revealed
Talk and song from tongues of lilting grace
Whose sounds caress my ear
But not a word I heard could I relate
The story was quite clear
Oh, oh
Oh, oh
Ooh, baby, I been flying
No yeah, mama, there ain't no denying
Oh, ooh, yeah I've been flying
Mama, mama, ain't no denying, no denying
Oh, all I see turns to brown
As the sun burns the ground
And my eyes fill with sand
As I scan this wasted land
Trying to find, trying to find, where I've been
Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace
Like thoughts inside a dream
Here is the path that led me to that place
Yellow desert stream
My Shangri-La beneath the summer moon
I will return again
Sure as the dust that floats high in June
When moving through Kashmir
Oh, father of the four winds, fill my sails
Across the sea of years
With no provision but an open face
Along the straits of fear
Oh, oh
Oh, oh
Ooh
Oh, when I'm on, when I'm on my way, yeah
When I see, when I see the way, you stay-yeah
Ooh, yeah-yeah, ooh, yeah-yeah, when I'm down
Ooh, yeah-yeah, ooh, yeah-yeah, but I'm down, so down
Ooh, my baby, ooh, my baby, let me take you there
Oh come on, oh, let me take you there... let me take you there
Ooh, yeah-yeah, ooh, yeah-yeah, let me take you there... let me take you there
Made Daddy proud. John "Bonzo" Bonham. The most talented and best rock drummer of all time.
