Start with the basics. Do a compression check and a leak down test to see if the head gasket is good or leaking . You can also use a radiator vacuum filling tool to see of the head gasket is leaking. If the cooling system won't hold a vacuum with the tool connected for any length of time, it means the head gasket has a leak.
Mark.not sure if you mentioned it But based on your method of elimination...could the original ignitor be a possibel fault ...you did say you tried two other distributors and same symptoms...just my humblest opinion...

Fixed the spark but now no oil pressure. Out of the fire and into the frying pan. Here's hoping the distributor drive is actually compatible!
