One thing about this cube I got talking with Ryan Overturf is that the reason there's some odd cards is it had to be upped to 540 cards, because the reason that the Khans Cube was having duplicates in draft is their draft queues produce bugs with fewer than 540. Go follow Ryan by the way, he's great
He wouldn't have autolost because he has a commit to memory that he could draw into and use in response to the trigger. As long as the opponent doesn't have a chance to trigger the sphinx when he was tapped out and the Commit isn't the last card of his library
Mike Pancake eh the way the games played out Jace was just better. He also had limited filtering and fetches. Also it’s bad in the aggro matchups that are super prevalent but he somehow dodged. 🍀
@@fanhoop187 yeah after watching the gameplay with the way the deck was constructed I'd have to concur. Just too many counters to make the strip mine combo work.
this feels much much less like a grixis cube and much much more like a Blue + friends cube. Didn't really look like there were viable decks that didn't include blue.
You are witnessing the Diminishing returns as you progress thru the packs. There are artifact themes, eldrazi themes, full grixis payoffs like cruel ultimatum with great and plentiful fixing, all 2 color combos and 1 color combos are viable. It’s a sweet cube I hope they bring it back and becomes more popular!!!
I really feel like almost all cubes are made up of mostly blue decks. Just a historically strong color that isn't shoehorned into a lot of specific decks the way white is for example.
@@JackD1615 What I mean is that yes, green ramp is popular. But only green ramp. It is the only deck that runs green. It is a single deck. I want to see a cube that explores enchantress, green stompy, elfball, and so on. Grixis only is litteraly just regular cube minus green ramp spells. Something like a Naya cube would be very different and force a lot of decks that go completely ignored to the forefront.
Round 1: 17:29
Round 2: 32:07
Round 3: 47:50
Next up Watch LSV forcing mono blue in Selesnya Cube
This actually made me laugh
That Snap'd Force Spike in M1G1 was so brutal!
These non-stream videos are my FAVEY
I don't actually see a difference in your deck to your usual cube decks ;)
The difference is that it's even easier than usual to draft the deck he wants :P
@@codetaku yeah, they just removed all the useless colors from the cube
8:13 Wish you would have at least mentioned crucible of worlds since you have the strip mine. Wondering if you missed it
Agreed...I think he missed it...
Paused and went looking for this comment
this sounds like a freaking awesome cube idea!
Loved the dont fear the reaper pun.

the candelabra tho, he just got one in paper and looked for reasons to include it in the cube
36:00 yeah you should know what Teferi does. It only gives flash to creatures :P
Grixis Cube ? Sounds like what every one of my cubes end up being anyway...
SPELLS AND ABILITIES, BRUH
That was just kicking a man when he's down, so brutal
Didn't pick cruel ultimatum. Unsub
Let me guess it's either storm or MonoU.
Bingo
Match 1 - Game 2 was just messed up. That poor opponent oO
magic the way richard garfield intended
Turns out Luis is a Grixis Master... Who would have thought?
The deck is sick luiss hahah
11:09, why no Bitterblossom tho?
Only LSV could look at a Grixis cube and find a way to go mono blue.
The "this is cute" cube
sound seems to be desynced later in the video, about a second ahead of the video
petzkuh seems to happen for me for every LSV video on this channel
"You got it", more magic is more better ;)
enjoyed this, thx
No crucible?!
Does WotC release cube lists?
They generally do, yes.
What land art is this event using?
unstable
Wild
New muligan rule seems deece.
Huh. I feel like Ugin the Ineffable should have been picked way sooner.
yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet
Not picking the Crucible of Worlds at 8:06 while you have a Strip Mine seems very disrepectful
I came on here just to say the same! Would have had tech edge in the next pack as well.
I wonder if LSV know you auto lose to sphinx if you have notion thieif on battlefield

Force Spike is secretly the best card in magic. Change my mind.
Vizzerdrix. You're welcome.
Storm Crow.
@@thisjustin7492 omg that was one of my favourites
...but only if you spell "Force Spike" like "Mana Tithe"
Grixis cube? You mean moldy burnt monoblue cube
It’s mono grixis 2/1s
More.
Jace Beleren over Crucible of Worlds when you already have a Strip Mine?

I enjoy lsv, but I really hate how much he loves blue.
Hmmm... You strike me as someone who likes that green

Mono red is literally the best deck in the cube

So just like a normal cube (sarcasm of course, but only slightly)
I really feel like almost all cubes are made up of mostly blue decks. Just a historically strong color that isn't shoehorned into a lot of specific decks the way white is for example.
wouldn’t it be black and friends? blue and red are the ally colors of black
Grixis is such a boring take on cube. Almost every deck is those colors normally anyway. Naya would be a far more interesting set of colors.
Mono green ramp is probably the most popular cube archetype
@@JackD1615 a single take on the color hardly qualifies as interesting. Green has plenty of other archetypes to pick from.
@@Luckingsworth Im not sure I understand what you are arguing, it seems you shifted topics.
