Great explanation of the Thorograph sheets usage. I always enjoy watching your handicapping reviews, our next number predictions are pretty much identical. I've been using sheets for some years before Jerry went on his own, then went to his over Ragozin's. They are a necessary tool in horse racing, whether for claiming, managing, breeding, and certainly betting. Although viewed with different lenses for each. Watching your shows is refreshing and brings me to your(our) conclusions without doing the work myself. Thank you, MCS.

Thanks so much for the show Jon and for elaborating a bit on my question about Mystik Dan's pair. You're right that Forever Young and Sierra Leone got better #s, they released the Derby sheets. Forever Young got the fastest Derby # pairing his 1 and Sierra Leone paired his 1.5.
Jon your insight on the numbers is outstanding and thanks for letting us know it's only a part. If you have a show for the numbers and patterns for the Belmont would be great but understand if time doesn't work. Thanks ! Romans 8:31
I just heard a new interview with Bob Baffert saying Imagination hangs back with the other horses and may need to step up. That's what you see in this horse's replays from 2023. I never have liked him, but he has been running alongside Muth, so maybe they have taught him to win by now. If not, Tuscan Gold or Dan may stick a neck ahead of Imagination, or Capturing Freedom catch them all. (CF is so eager to run, he has been kicking and bucking.) I am still on Mystik Dan, with the others in my top 4, then Seize the Grey in 5th or 6th.

catching freedom is a single for me..horse knocking on heavens doors.
Uncle Heavy is coming off 6 weeks rest,off a bad/regression number in a race where he broke bad from an outside post,and had trouble in the stretch when a horse fell right next to him. Getting Irad is like the Jets getting Rodgers. Last I saw he was bet down from 20 to 7-1.

U got to do the belmont. Dont know what numbers will be in final 4 Preakness but wasn't excited with the 100buyer and 3 on sheets for k.d. maybe the belmont at same distance will be a great show 4 u 2pick someone bigtime moving 4ward. Do the belmont.
Good info Jon, Jeff F is my buddy! I bet Tucson Gold in Derby pool at 50 something to 1 because of his Gulfstream race and then he backed it up at Da Fairgrounds. It’s 8 for me and backing up with Muth over 8.

Thanks again Jon I'm very new to watching your podcasts but they kept jumping on me I'm becoming addicted. I've been playing for over 50 years and watching the podcast with Tom the hammer and the guy with race fixes those were award winning interviews. I couldn't believe how many things you guys talked about I encountered so many golden nuggets players need to absorb track marketing should be using these I training seminars trying to recruit new young players a very rough game hard game not for everyone but a still love it even after that Saratoga meet which was the worst run meet ever ran in my 50 years.everyone in management should have been fired after that meet. I'm still learning your lingo but when referring to computer players are you talking about people using a computer or networks betting. And when you were asking Tom about tipping I think he misinterpreted what you were asking answering like tipping people in your group giving you a tip. I assumed you were asking if you should tip the tellers after big wins at the track. It's very important I feel.i always use the same one once I find a component one which is getting harder and harder. Keep up the good work and everything is so truthful and honest.were still standing been beat up many times but everything is just a short term loan that I will get back 2 points a week interest compounding so watch out Saratoga I'm going for your jugular you owe alot lol
Catching Freedom's first race this year was on New Years Day, If that race is one day earlier and he finishes his 2 year old year with a 7 1/4 and starts his 3 year old year with ,5-4-3 it's a lot different,and even if it's a 2 week turn around it's,then only 4 points developement from his 2 year old top,where as now it looks like he's already developed 6 points from his 2 tear old top.

Actually if it is a muddy track you would have to get the Daily Racing Form and see which horses come out fast and stay in front to avoid mud their face. Mystic Dan is one, Just Steel is another so far.

Yes they run on it all year and I call it durf. It’s hard as a rock. They wear it out even with the synthetic races. Tough to run on a turf course year round.

I have in the past, had a technical issue on this one which is fixed but didn’t save it because of that. I totally messed it up technology wise.
The old Belmont ones and BC ones are up. I also use clips from them in various videos. Most of the people have been attending them for years. Again this one I messed up by using the wrong link as we had a new studio. Not proud of it at all. 😬

First time watcher here. Am I the only one who thinks Mystik Dan is not the great mudder everybody thinks he is and just caught the right part of the track in the Southwest ? My thoughts on Just Steel. Awful ride by Keith. Had him too close on a past pace.
Forever Young wins the Derby without the terrible break and even with a much worse break than Sierra Leone Forever Young still wins if Sierra Leone is not drunk man hugging him down the entire stretch. I love your show but Sierra Leone was not better than Forever Young.

@@PastTheWireTV think you do a phenomenal job and you use a different approach and that is usually the best approach! I was very disappointed in the Derby finis, I had Forever Young with Catching Freedom on top with Mystic Dan, Sierra Leone and my top 2 in 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Tough photo but that’s racing, LOL.
